I see everyone talking about this voice line,

but IMO nobody has been understanding it? I keep seeing people say that ‘Mel has no place to say that when she was a councilor’ or similar things, but lemme tell you why thats wrong:

In S2 of Arcane, it’s revealed that Mel is an empath. (haha i know) But seriously, part of Mel’s arcane abilities allow her to see into the deepest parts of people’s emotions and use them for whatever purpose she desires.

We know this is true when you look at her title in-game, “The Soul’s Reflection”. Mel is a reflection of whatever you want to see in her, or whatever you DON’T want to see.

In this case, Mel isn’t saying that she herself thinks Vi is dumb for being an enforcer; she’s tapping into Vi’s reservations and insecurities and reflecting them back at her. Vi probably has tons of thoughts (even if they’re had in private) wondering if the path she took was the right one, especially after reconnecting with Jinx and seeing her reaction to the uniform. Mel can tap into this and use it.

Ezkayn Dynamic

To me, Ezreal and Kayn have that ‘partners in crime’ dynamic, where they will ALWAYS be each other’s person.

If Kayn wants to wreak havoc, he goes to Ezreal.

If Ezreal needs someone to listen to him- (no matter what it’s about) he can go to Kayn.

If Kayn wants someone to listen to his new lyrics or guitar riffs, Ezreal is always the first one there, and when he wants someone to listen to his new melody ideas, Kayn listens to him hum away.

If they’re bored and wanna have petty little arguments, they can play fight with each other any day of the week.

And when they get closer and closer, it feels natural to them, because they are each other’s person.

All of those different versions of Lux are so intriguing, especially her old lore self being used as a military weapon (reminding me of Kayn, whose backstory also breaks my heart).

I do like to think about all the different possibilities, bc I think that the butterfly effect of everything in Piltover being different would cause the neighboring regions to be different as well, which would just keep the chain going all across Runeterra, eventually getting to Lux in Demacia!
