Amy sat at her desk, her usually neat hair looking quite ragged, falling here and there about her shoulders. There was no more alcohol in her laboratory, and the main computer had barred her from being able to sign in. With a sigh, she thought about the past few days. She had assassinated her former bosses for falsifying information that would lead her planet to destruction, but it was only a matter of time before she would know for sure if she did it soon enough. The flickering, fading lights complimented the bleak static coming from the radio. The entire world was at a stand still.

[Raises an eyebrow at him] What a buzz kill.
Musta came here after all that ruckus yesterday. [Stands up, labcoat hanging on sloppily, hand on her chest] Sooo sorry for the intrusion, dear sir. And now, I shall leave you to your soli- *hic* solitude, or, whate'er. Yeah.
Just as soon as I fin' the fron' door.
[Someone is drunk out of her mind and passed out on his couch]
[And he is exceedingly irritated by it]
[Not so casually, pushes her off]

Ya know what it's like when your whole world is literally crumblin'? Yeah, it's that bad. Since I'll soon be out of a job, I'll be crashin' at your place.

[Goes to drink from her flask, but finds it empty]
Crap.
[Looks up at him] Yo, incubus, ya got somethin' strong?

Amy ducked back into the icy shadows. This, no, this was not an opportune time to speak with the creature. Cursing her poor timing, she tried to configure her watch so she would go back further.
"Please… Forgive my absence."
Gilbert leans heavily on a crystalline staff, the tip dug hard into the loose stone floor of the courtyard. Unlike usual, the King is wrapped in many layers of shrouds. Though they are gaudy and as careworn as most of his clothing, they are far more… Bulky and protective, if those are the right words.
His crown has shrunk to a mere icy circlet hidden among white curls. Even his facial markings and glittering beads look dulled.
"I had to cut off my wings."
