Like no I MUST elaborate that this rhetoric and throught process circles ALL the way back to actual die-hard transphobes. Saying that someone is a girl because they have long hair and wear skirts or that someone isn't a man anymore because of how they look and are percieved to behave. Like that's shit I hear from my red-county hometown. It's NOT any different coming from you.
USE THE EXACT WORDS THAT THE MEMBERS HAVE GIVEN US PERMISSION TO USE, I.E.: DIVA. QUEEN. THAT DOES NOT MEAN GIRL AND IT DOES NOT MEAN SHE/HER. JESUS CHRIST.
And it certainly doesn't mean INVASIVE, TRANSPHOBIC JOKES about them taking estrogen or getting surgery or accusing them of being trans to get some pathetic laughs on a dumb tumblr post oh my goddddddduhhhhhh
Cause those fucking queerphobe cis men in SK, the ones that assault gay idols like Holland on the street, the ones that bully and send death threats to and stalk same-gender idols that they think are dating, THOSE PEOPLE? They THRIVE off of those dumb jokes you're making. They don't even have to start the fire anymore if you're providing the flame.
Let's just. Not endanger these men.
Let's have something nice.
Let's be a good audience. Good fans.
I think XLOV is good for the culture, they could all be cishet men, as a queer motherfucker myself I DON'T care. We let Patrick Swayze give us Vita Boheme, we let Tim Curry give us Dr. Frank-N-Furter, we let Gyllenhaal and Ledger give us Brokeback. Those movies represented and helped our community, as far as I know. Why does XLOV have to be a group of trans eggs in your small fucking worldview for their art to make sense to you? Let's not ruin another good thing.
Love XLOV fans for saying they're stanning a group because of their genderless concept and proximity to queerness/queer music and dance but then immediately putting those 4 members BACK into the gender binary by referring to them as "she", "women", saying they're on E, JUST because they fucking wear fem clothes, do gg covers, etc. Like wowwwww how did y'all lose the plot that fast. Oh my god.
Pride month ain't over yet, go apologise to an enby (and give us at least $5 for the trouble ahhhhh)

hey genderfluidsss
In the same way that bisexual people are not suddenly *un*bisexual'd when they date someone of the opposite gender, WE are not *un*genderfluid'd when we dress, present, or even FEEL like our assigned gender at birth. Forcing myself to write this on a day where she/her feels okay to me, even as I take slutty masc photos 🫡
Slutty masc photos to come perhaps?

Also I feel like the word egg is reserved for closeted queer people who REALLY have no idea that anything they do or feel counts as "queer". As a former egg myself (AFAB feeling like a man for years and just writing it off as being "a weird masculine woman"), I can tell that the men in XLOV seem to have a good amount of knowledge of queer dance and lingo, their concept and their lyrics are openly genderless (their own words!) and with their b-side "BIZNESS" coming out (a song where they wear long skirts and diss on people who are surprised or offended by the way they dress), I'd say they're not eggs at all. They are men who are fully realised in their expression and identity, they are secure, they know who they are, and if they must re-define what "man" means to be able to dress and act the way they do, then so be it. Men wear skirts, kiss each other, get their nails done, and sing about feeling pretty.
regarding the xlov thing
you're the second person i've seen talking about it
and gee if both trans women and trans men think these jokes are harmful maybe the fandom should uhhh
stop misgendering people based on how they dress idk
that mirror reflecting meme where these jokes are supposedly directed at xlov but really it's just hitting trans and gnc folx like come on
Tbh nonny, I'm not sure how much impact a post on tumblr is really going to have, especially because I'm a relatively faceless blog with less than 500 followers. And a lot of the larger fandom is active on tiktok and twitter, so I'm under no illusion I'll reach the wider spectrum of people doing it.
But I hope more people will speak up and we can tackle at least the egg jokes. Not sure people will listen about the rest very much bc of how engraved "clothes = gender" is in both Korea and the west.
Either way, it was a gentle reminder and hopefully some people see it and take it to heart.

https://www.backstage.com/u/gail-holbrook/
Also here's a link to my Backstage profile with dozens of videos of me singing and playing bass! They are a bit dated as most of them are from high school and my voice has changed a bit, I will try to post Japanese covers soon so people can know what my voice and pronunciation sounds like
I want to start a Yuki Kajiura cover group/band!
Do you like Kalafina? FictionJunction? Remi Tanaka? LiSa? Aimer? Eir Aoi? Chiaki Ishikawa/SEE-SAW? Anisongs in general? WELL I FUCKING LOVE THEM 😭❤️ so much so that I would love to find folks who sing or play an instrument and also love these wonderful artists and singers, preferably in my area (NYC) so we can actually get together and sing or play!
Pls dm me if you're interested w/ some info about the specific YK projects you like
About me; I'm a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently living in NYC, with 7 years of School of Rock live band performance under my belt (6th grade->12th grade). I'm a professionally-taught rock singer, bassist, and drummer, and went on to learn keys, guitar, ukulele, and other random instruments (like the dulcimer and a Japanese tongue drum) on my own. I started writing raps when I was 12 and began writing music on my guitar when I was 13. I am also interested in writing and singing music for other people, especially if you're creating a project in the realm of fantasy (like LOTR, folk tales, etc).
I have been singing in Japanese for 12 years now. and most of the music I listen to day-to-day is Japanese. Beyond Yuki Kajiura, I love visual kei and 90s J-rock (L'arc en Ciel, LUNA SEA, Buck-Tick), and other symphonic rock/metal bands like Sound/Linked Horizon and the music of composer Hiroyuki Sawano (AOT). I was introduced to Kalafina through youtube recs in my first year of high school and listened to the full live of their 2018 10th Anniversary concert every. single. day. Learned all the lines and Hikaru's, Keiko's, and Wakana's parts respectively. Through them I found FictionJunction, See Saw, Emily Bindiger, and the other collabs that Yuki Kajiura has had with many a talented artist in Japan and around the world.
Singing with other people gives me life and I after graduating high school and entering the workforce immediately, I desperately miss singing and playing my instruments with other people consistently. Pls message me no matter your experience or background, I WANT TO SING AND PLAY WITH YOU

SAVE A QUEER COLLEGE STUDENT'S LIFE (gofundme link at bottom)
A BIPOC LGBTQ+ Muslim student refugee who attends Columbia and is on an F1 visa is facing deportation due to not being able to demonstrate his ability to pay his spring tuition, which would deactivate his student visa. This is the last semester he needs funds for. If we do not raise $3K to offer the school by March 2nd, he WILL be evicted and sent away to Tunisia, where he escaped persecution, torture, and murder by Tunisian authorities due to being outed by his family.Any donations will help immensely, but what we need are people who are willing to loan us money ASAP so that we can pay off the tuition quickly before March 2nd. This will buy us some time to keep our community member in the country until we can pay these personal loans back. PLEASE SPREAD WIDELY! We are on a tight deadline!!!!
SEND THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. TAG PEOPLE!!! TELL THEM TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE!! IF 300 PEOPLE PAID 10 BUCKS EACH WE WOUL REACH THE GOAL!!! WE HAVE 2 DAYS LEFT! PLEASE!!

Some tips on how to spot a blog that’s trying to scam you by pretending to be in Palestine:
Check the date of the pinned post if they have one. It likely is only a few hours old at best or a few days old.
Check how many posts the account has and if they’re all just reblogs of a trending post or popular post. Usually scammers reblog just a few then nothing else. Their only original post is the pinned one and maybe a few asks they answered.
Search the contents of their pinned post/aid post and see if it comes up on a real fundraiser site. Scammers tend to steal their info off of real people and real fundraisers hoping no one will notice. They’ll claim their fundraiser is pending but they don’t run or own anything they’re taking from. Some will even steal names to impersonate people.
You’ll only get these asks if you actively post about Palestine or share Palestine related posts. These accounts will often share the same posts then contact you via asks asking you to share their post. They will continue asking even if you tell them you don’t have money. They won’t read your blog so even having a ‘don’t sent donation asks’ in the bio or pinned won’t stop them. They just want you to share their post and won’t take no for an answer.
Often times you’ll get the same ask from entirely different accounts or the ask is tweaked by using parts of another ask. But the post itself will always be the same as the previous account before it was removed for being a scam. These scammers reuse the same exact ask so often searching the ask will pull up past accounts who sent it.
The pfp and images are often stolen from the real fundraiser that the scammers have copied. When you call them out on it, they’ll usually send you hate mail instead of explaining anything. And then block you only to send you the same mutual aid ask from another blog because they think you won’t notice.
If you answer these asks, and know it’s a scam, call out the scammer and link to legitimate fundraisers or useful links to verified charities. This way the scammers ask will be seen if searched and people who see it will find sources for supporting actual people.
Not all mutual aid posts for Palestine is a scam. It’s just suggested to do some research into a brand new account asking you for money. Please support verified charities and fundraisers made by people who have confirmed their legitimacy in some way or have proved they are the person that it was made for. It’s unfortunate these scams are happening, but they do exist.

There needs to be more ace/aro rep in video games
I say this as a sex-positive allo Bisexual person
There needs to be more ace/aro rep in games. Sex should not be necessary to happen to further or open up a relationship/romance route in EVERY SINGLE GAME. And in terms of games that DO offer sex-less romance routes, queer characters often get no real romance in their route at all unless there's sex involved which is SO homophobic. Why do the straight characters get to have romance without sex but the romance routes for queer characters in certain games seem like you're literally just out on a date with a friend. My most favorite player/character friendship in any game has been Female inquisitor with openly gay male Dorian Pavus in DA:I. There is so much love and depth and angst in that storyline when it's literally just a woman who has a gay male best friend that she CAN'T date. It forces the player to learn and understand the in's and out's of not only valuing friendship over romance or sex but also solidarity with people who don't have the same experiences as you. I honestly think it's the best relationship/friendship route in the game, more than Solas, more than Blackwall, more than Cullen. Ace/aro relationships AND people are beautiful and they need to have more representation, and ACCURATE representation too. Ace/aro doesn't mean you're lonely. Ace/aro doesn't mean you're cold or cut off or that you have PTSD. Learning about ace/aroism as an Allo Bi person taught me so much about relationship structure and the different forms of love. You can be in love with someone but not be able to be in a relationship with them. You can marry someone and NEVER fuck them or have children. You can be with someone your entire life and never get married or move in together. It gave me so much internal freedom, and a sense of calm, to learn that I DON'T have to say yes to everything because there are people out there that don't say yes to everything either. Love and sex feels safer now. Thanks ace/aro people for teaching the rest of the queer community about yourselves despite all the backlash and awfulness you've faced from people inside and outside the community, admittedly from myself too when I was an angry preteen on queer insta discourse making opinions on things that i don't understand.
#I didn't understand nonbinarism either and so just wrote it off as people who don't understand themselves...#Come 2023 I realise that i'm nonbinary 💀#AND THEN THROUGH THAT REALISE THAT I'M TRANS#Happy holidays you queers

Billlie 2nd Anniversary

"Shining, you and I
forever in the flowerld
I’m not afraid even when I’m in the darkness
Our growing hearts are pouring down like starlight
Here, we are in our FLOWERLD". - FLOWERLD, 2021
Sometimes things happen so suddenly. So unexpectedly. Plans are halted, people go into shock, the world seems to stop, and for a while you're just stuck in a place of limbo, wondering what comes next. These women and girls' determination to keep on going and keep on performing their art and perfecting their craft despite all that they've been through this year, as a group and as people themselves, is astonishing to me and i'll never be able to send my full gratitude to these ladies in words. Someday I'll make a song for you all, i promise.
Thank you, Kim Haram. For accepting the role of leader and big sister at such a strange time. Thank you for making me laugh.
Thank you, Fukutomi Tsuki. For the strength of your enthusiasm and your unwavering brightness. Thank you for making me grin.
Thank you, Kim Suyeon. For your versaility and your desire to keep pushing through and showing the world what you're made of. Thank you for making me discover this incredible group.
Thank you, Kim Siyoon. For your unbreakable power onstage, and your thoughtful and sentimental personality behind the curtain. Thank you for making me stay.
Thank you, Osato Haruna. For your empowering will to improve with each day, and grow into the lovely, elegant young performer that glows brighter and brighter as time goes on. Thank you for bringing me peace.
Moon Sua. Kim Suhyeon. Our mothers. Our older sisters. Every day I think about the two of you. Every single day. I think about your smiles. Your voices. Your eyes. Your laughter. I miss it all so much. I wake up each day and I hope it's the day that you come back. Fully healthy and happy. But I know your personal lives need to be put before anything else. Don't worry, Belllie've will wait for you. If it takes another day. Another month. Maybe a year, or more. We'll be here. In the FLOWERLD.
HAPPY SECOND ANNIVERSARY TO THE BEST GROUP IN THE WORLD! BILLANGAE!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to agree. Skill-wise, for the most part the members CAN cover for Moon Sua and Suhyeon's absence (though it bothers me SO much that the OT5 girls aren't getting more vocally challenging songs, Siyoon has a VERY powerful belt, Haruna has a huge range for someone her age, Tsuki was literally Main Vocalist in her JP group and Mystic already treats Sheon like the Lead Vocalist anyway), and they still try their best to bring that Billlie energy to performances, but Sua and Suhyeon were such... rays of sunshine. They are the MORALE of the group. They smile when the other members don't, they joke around, they don't take themselves too seriously like the younger less experienced members do (no offense, love our maknaes). They're like the parents of the group. Not to mention they have the longest training time of all the members and (though ik fans never talk about vocal analysis), Sua and Suhyeon easily have the best vocal technique in the group. If you're someone who has known Billlie for a while you can tell that some of the heart of the group is missing. Billlie will always be 7. No matter what happens.
i feel guilty that i really don't care for this billlie comeback but i can't help it. billlie incomplete feels wrong and you can tell they scrambled to come up with these songs just to have something to release cause they're so beneath their discography </3
