I am SO EXCITED to be in the recruitment process for the brand new colony of Tri Sigma at Auburn University! I can't wait for bid day to find out if I get to help build our chapter from the ground up and give us a good name alongside the other sororities here. I wanted to ask what advice you can give me for the week to come! I had my interview today and now I have the agonizing wait for sisterhood day and then bid day on the 29th! What can you tell me about sisterhood? :)

Hi! First and foremost, I'm excited for you to be going Greek. The first tip I have is, sisterhood is what you make of it. There are going to be some trying times where you wonder why you joined and there are going to be amazing times when you feel so united, nothing will break you. A sister told me something I'll never forget, always keep that flame lit because even small candles can turn into a raging fire.The second tip I have is, take every opportunity presented to you. Join a committee, plan events, run for office. Without my sorority, I would never have traveled to the place I've been, speak in front of crowds, or plan a huge baby shower. I've gained real world skills and talents that I take with me everywhere. My third tip is, you're not going to be close with everyone but you CAN be close to anyone. Sisterhood connections are the strongest bonds I have and they will be with me unto death. Sisterhood has also taught me to open my horizons and because of that, I have gained a better perspective about people in general. You'll hear negative things in the media, around campus, and from your friends but, sisterhood is what will get you through it.I hope you have an amazing time during this process and regardless of where you decide to commit, I'm so glad you chose to do so.Sigma Love And Mine,Gabby

For me, standing in the light of Sigma Love means constantly being surrounded by women who inspire me. Women who empower me to do better and be better. In the light of Sigma Love I find myself surrounded by a group of women who build each other up, and whose love for one another could withstand anything. Happy Founders Day to all of my sisters around the world. May we always cherish how blessed we are to belong to an organization as wonderful as Tri Sigma. Cheers to another 117 years!
