Even with all the issues @nba2k has had already this year I've managed to have some fun on MyTeam. Klay Thompson is a sniper on catch and shoot or off the dribble. I'm going to get this off my chest. NBA 2K20 is NOT an 8/10. Not even close. Neither is 2K19 or 2K18. I don't know how the hell the gaming community doesn't DESTROY these games with poor ratings. This is the most microtransaction based 2K to date. If you plan to be competitive in MyCareer you better have an extra $50 laying around for your character directly after spending $60 on the game. Oh and if you want to get into MyTeam you'll be pushed towards buying the mystery boxes. Averaging around 170,000 VC per 20 cards. So essentially. To play at your full potential, you will literally have to pour around $100 in VC into things that are literally already on the game. Just locked until you give them more money. This is because a large amount of people blindly accept this practice as the new normal. Not me. Hell NO. Think about this. Why exactly do they do patches? Well with MyCareer it would make a ton of sense from a money making stand point to patch certain things that make certain archs effective. In turn, you might have to build another player, spending another $50. The patch notes cause an uptick in VC sales. So....what incentive do they have to stop when we all buy it?.. We spend hard earned money on fake currency to unlock something already on a game we already purchased. So. In closing...to catch up with a large group of the online community in NBA2K20, you'll need about $200 from the jump to take advantage of the game modes.
