Kwami Lore rewrite
So, this is what I can find of Kwami lore. The following are direct quotes thatre straight from the wiki. You don’t need to read through it and can skip straight through to what I plan on doing. (Of course suggestions and ideas are welcome.)
“Kwamis are divine beings that are formed whenever a new abstract idea or emotion comes into existence in the universe, such as creation, love, beauty, and mathematics. The very first Kwami ever to come into existence is Tikki, the Kwami of Creation, who came into existence upon the creation of the universe.“
“The concept of creation not only created the Quantic Universe, it also created a near infinite number of other universes alongside it, with each universe having its own set of kwamis, that is to say that the kwamis exist in all the universes simultaneously. The kwamis have the knowledge and memories of all their counterparts from the other universes, though they don't usually bring up this topic with mortals, as there isn't enough time in such a short lifespan to explain even the tiniest bit about it.”
“All of the Kwamis know each other and journeyed across the universe for eons. During their travels, they found their way to Earth and at some point discovered their magical powers, born from the abstract concepts that they respectively embody, with Plagg using his powers to cause the extinction of the dinosaurs. That's when the kwamis realized, even though their powers were great, they were too strong and unfocused, leading to great damage. During their ancient past, the kwamis witnessed the rise of humanity and with it, from 5 to 7 million years ago, the birth of their "cousins" the Renlings.”
“However, the Kwamis were spirit-like, and thus couldn't be perceived by regular, tangible lifeforms, such as humans, and were therefore unable to interact with them. Despite that, they had a deep yearning to learn more about humans by observing them.”
“Until one day, five thousand years ago, a Chinese mage figured out how to create special magical jewels, the Miraculouses. These jewels allowed the Kwamis to manifest in physical form, finally allowing them to communicate with mortal lifeforms, though the physical form can only be manifested when a Kwamis respective Miraculous is in the possession of an owner. In return for the privilege of having the ability to be perceived by mortals, the Kwamis were able to grant superpowers to their Miraculous owners. Through said owners they had discovered that their powers are far more manageable.”
“From that point on, Kwamis helped the wearers of their Miraculouses transform into heroes and achieve good all around the world. There were instances where they became stuck with villainous owners and were forced to help them with their diabolical schemes due to being bound to their Miraculous owner's every command, such as Nooroo and Duusu currently in the series. Some of them have made long-lasting and meaningful bonds of friendship with their owners and to commemorate that special bond, they'd give their owner a jewel, known as a Kwagatama.”
“A long time ago (long enough for some Kwamis to forget), a magical spell was cast upon them. They are physically incapable of speaking their owners' names to each other or any Miraculous owners other than their own. However, if another Miraculous owner already knows their owner's identity, then the Kwami can speak their owner's name freely. The spell also prevents kwamis from speaking the name of the guardians of their Miraculouses.”
“On occasion, incidents where an active kwami would get separated from their owners or find them in trouble would occur, and often used their powers to protect them, but only as a last resort.”
“In "Sandboy", it is revealed that active Kwamis collect items from the outside world and bring them inside the Miracle Box to give as presents to inactive Kwamis for entertainment.“
“Sometimes on occasions, through unknown means or without the need for an owner a kwami can find their way out of the Miracle Box.”
“Just as Miraculous holders were taught about the powers of the jewels, so were the kwamis, such as the Miraculous potions, that allowed them and their owners to change into their elemental forms. However, even though they were curious about how their powers could be modified, they were forbidden by the guardians to know as a precaution in case if they ever fell into evil hands.”
“Over time, the kwamis also became aware that they could unify their powers as well as the danger that came when one holder fused too many jewels together, as seen in "Miracle Queen", when Stompp, Roaar and the others refused to share their activation commands after seeing Chloe's rude and selfish behavior. They also knew that Chloe could've severely hurt herself, so they refused for her own safety. They also were aware of the Guardian's Code and sometimes, like their owners, shared meaningful bonds with the guardian's of their boxes.”
“In rare incidents not all kwamis know the identity of the guardian that has ownership of the Miracle Box their Miraculous came from such as Nooroo and Duusu not knowing much about Master Fu before they were separated.”
“Sometimes, depending on certain situations or emergencies, Kwamis would often return to the home cities, towns, countries of their previous owners, but come under the ownership of new holders, like in the case with Tikki.”
“Even though, kwamis can be renounced by their owners in "Transmission", it's revealed that they can do their own form of "renouncing". As with Tikki's and Plagg's case, if the task of being a wielder is too great for them or least if the holder doesn't meet the kwamis expectations they can convince their owners to surrender their jewels without saying the renounce command. Afterwards the kwamis begin their search for new owners under their own judgement if a guardian doesn't or can't intervene or has their permission.””
So, just from this alone, im making things a bit more concrete. So, here’s a general overview of some updated Kwami info.
There’s seven miracle boxes, each for a different continent. Each Kwami will be inspired by another historical civilization. Some are larger than others, and some have stronger Kwami in them than others.
Tikki and Plagg were created at the same time. (Creation and destruction go hand in hand imo.)
When Kwamis develop, another Kwami for the opposite aspect is born as well.
Kwami still have no tangible form without a holder. HOWEVER, there’s a trade off with this sort of thing. Kwami cannot go outside of a certain range of their holder, and their life force and the holder’s life force are one while the bond exists. If a Kwami dies the user dies, but if the user dies the Kwami just goes dormant for a set amount of time. However, because Kwami are immortal the users are immortal via proxy—(Natural death wise, but they can die of other things).
Kwami are also inherently neutral beings. Not good, not evil, just neutral. Because of this, this sense of the morality of the user is the defining factor of the acts they participate in.
They still cannot speak their holder’s name to others. If they try, it comes out distorted and unintelligible unless the identity is already known.
Kwami CANNOT leave the miracle box unless they have owners.
Kwami can renounce an owner just as an owner can renounce them.
And I’m also adding in my own Kwami lore.
The Kwami themselves are beings that exist beyond common forms of morality. They’re HIGHLY morally ambiguous, oftentimes only working toward the goals of themselves or their users. Because of this they’re inherently rather uncontrollable in most situations.
The Kwami take the forms of animals when they’re bound to a holder. Ex: Plagg would take the form of a true black cat when bound to an owner.
The Kwami and their owner have a very…Contractual bond. Obviously deep bonds can be formed, but there’s a certain contract in place between Kwami and holder that neither party can go against.
Kwami have a set of rules they’re bound by because of a spell placed upon them. Those rules cannot be broken.
Guardians are always as morally gray as their counterparts. They’re like a lawful neutral. They’re focused solely on the good of the world, and lean toward neither good or evil.
Kwami have to be compatible with their users. Characteristics, goals, ambitions, etc. if they’re not the miraculous will reject them and that process is extremely violent and deadly. The user will die a horrible death if that were to occur.
This is just what I have for now. Subject to change!

This blood is essentially the place in which I’ll be brainstorming ideas for a MLB rewrite, and actually rewriting it. This community is—And I can admit this—Essentially just me being so fed up with MLB I’m taking it into my own hands.
This blog will be interactive. Feel free to DM me ideas, or thoughts, or debates on existing ideas and thoughts. Feel free to also comment on posts. There’ll even be polls. To start us off, I’m going to be going back and actually fixing some worldbuilding, the power system, characters, etc. the basis and getting the storyline down before starting the rewrite itself.
If you’re interested in following the journey, and even participating, make sure to follow this blog! <3
Ideas are taken via asks, comments, AND DMs.
