Jeremiah is suspicious as hell
I just don’t get why Jeremiah was the twin that was send away and not Jerome… I’ll explain in a minute but first: I simply don’t buy his innocent victim act. We’ve seen all of the Valeska family being absolutely batshit, but somehow he’s a simple timid genius? Harvey also made a point of saying ‘there is something fishy about this dude’. Now, if you have two twin kids, and one of them is threatening to kill the other, why would you send the one in danger away? For his safety, sure, but that’s the only reason I can think of. If you have a potentional murderer in the family, normally you would send that kid away to get help for the safety of the whole family, and not just let them stay. That just seems way more logical to me.
We already know he’s a liar, he admitted it himself when Jerome accussed him of poisoning the mind of their mother by lying about him being so damn horrible. He also casually lied to our cop duo about not knowing where Jerome was while he had him locked up in a cell right under their noses. What was his plan of what to do with him, anyway? I get that if what he’s saying was/is true (which apparently it wasn’t, at least not 100%), and he was scared he’d escape Arkham again to come after him, he’d rather keep an eye on his brother himself. But that all could just be a lie as well and he was planning something way more sinister.
I have the growing suspicion Jeremiah hurt Jerome waaaay more than he’s letting on. I feel like he could be the reason Jerome lost it. There must be a reason Jerome wants to take revenge so bad other than it being just because he’s insane and badmouthed him a little.
Jeremiah said ‘The truth is, Jerome, you’re just born bad,’ but maybe it’s him who is the one that is born bad, and Jerome became this way because of nurture. Psychopaths often reflect themselves onto others. Also I noticed in this exact scene that Cameron Monoghan acted a little like Jerome did when he was lying about killing his mother as Jerome and keeping up a facade to the police. Which was fake and after that we quickly saw the ‘real’ him.
(Plus he’s an insane genius that lives in an underground labyrinth he build himself, if that isn’t at least the little bit of creepy idk what is.)
I think the twist might be that Jerome is actually the lesser of two evils, how evil crazy that already might be. Maybe Jerome wants to ‘turn him mad’ to prove to the world his lies, because then he can’t hide it anymore, and he won’t be the successful engineer anymore which he might be jealous of because it’s unfair.
In the next episode we see him helping Bruce and Jim to take down Jerome, but he might be playing them too just to get to Jerome before he spills the beans on his true identity.
Also, if ‘such an innocent victim soul’ became the Joker out of a sudden because of Joker gas or an Ace acid vat, that’d just be stupid.
(If this theory falls into water, I won’t be embarrassed. I like speculating and I think we saw way more than we think we saw this episode.)

I don’t have a favourite because I found some of them funny 😂 and hopefully you do too (Warning for the first Jerome is not the Joker, R.I.P. ear/head phone users)

Disney Fathers
A father loves you
He teaches you about the world
He loves spending time with you
He loves to make you smile and laugh
And being your father makes him smile
He watches over you
He is always ready to protect you
And he will fight to keep you safe
He gives you advice when you need it
And is there for you when you’re sad
He helps you find out who you are
And he learns from you as well
He supports you and your dreams
Even when no one else does
He wants you to achieve your goals and fly
And he is proud when you succeed
No matter how far you go, he’ll be there when you return
No matter how long you were gone
He prepares you for the world as best he can
And lets you go explore it
No matter what, he will always love you
The one that raised you might not have been a true father
But somewhere in the world you will find a father
Your father might be a brother
Or a teacher
Or a stepdad
Or a friend
But they will be there for you
And they will love you
And support you
And you will find them
Because everyone has a father somewhere
