The mortifying ordeal of being known.
AURORA Ransei’s kingdoms are built around a spot that Arceus placed a store of energy from their plates as back-up. Aurora was the Fairy kingdom for a time. In the battle against Giratina Arceus used the power of Aurora’s plate to nullify Giratina’s power. Aurora abruptly fell into decline and reached its current state. Once a thriving hub of fairies, after Arceus’ use of the fairy plate all Fairy Pokémon in Ransei lost their typing. Aurora’s Pokémon gradually migrated out. Those left were weakened, more comparable to their mainland counterparts than anything found in Ransei.
Most of those who live in Aurora do so because they have no means of leaving. There is farm land, but wild Pokémon destroy most of the crops before they mature and what does get harvest more often than not isn’t enough to go around. Those who left often became bandits who preyed on those who remained behind. Poor handlings of affairs and diplomacy left Aurora isolated from its neighbors. If help ever was offered it was rebuffed, and help was rarely asked for. Each year saw Aurora lose more and more land to its surrounding kingdoms. By the time Hiro-no was born all that was left of Aurora were a few farms and the mountain range that protected them. Aurora has more than any kingdom seen a decline in warriors being born, to the point most its warlords came from outside Aurora. Hiro-no’s predecessor was one such outsider, giving up the kingdom as a lost cause when they realized there would be no glory or riches in leading the kingdom. When they left, Hiro-no was the only human capable of linking with Pokémon still in Aurora. A warrior is a warrior, even if he’s only a boy of sixteen with an Eevee and Meowth at his side. HIRO-NO
Iie and his grandmother live on the “far” side of Aurora, around the bend in the stream that separated his home from the rest of the village. Iie’s had selective mutism his entire life, not helped by the compounding anxieties and inferiority complexes he developed. Like everyone else in Aurora he suffers from malnourishment. After being made warlord, his aquisition of kingdoms was mostly accidental. Greenleaf, Fontaine, and Ignis had to be dealt with so they didn’t claim the last of Aurora’s soil. The others were goaded into fighting or decided to start one based on his communications, or lack thereof. Hiroiie came into his own as warlord and likely would have remained settled happily in the south if not for Kenshin and Shingen. After his battles with the two kingdoms, they took advantage of Hiroiie’s poor mental health and pushed him into a role of puppet ruler. The two pulled his strings north to fight Nobunaga. Trusting what Oichi told him about how her brother used to be, Hiroiie faced Nobunaga in the final battle and begged for his help. Ransei was surrendered to Nobunaga and Hiroiie, after spending some time recovering, went home to Aurora. Hiroiie passed the duty of representing Aurora to the villager he, and the rest of Aurora, considered their leader between (and during) warlord occupations. He focuses on restoring Aurora’s fields and wilderness now that the kingdom has expanded. This is somewhat impeded by the stranger that seems to have taken an interest in him and his refusal to unite Ransei. PERSONAL Hiroiie has three names. Hiro-no is his public name, used as a formality after he became Aurora’s warlord. Friends and family know him by his private name, Hiroiie. Very few select people, three in total, call him by the name his parents gave him: Iie. If he gives you permision to use Iie, you’ve reached max relationship status. Iie can make perfect links with Normal, Grass, and unbeknownst to him Fairy Pokémon. He has secondary links with Water, Psychic, and Bug types. While his perfect links make it more difficult to partner up with some types he is still able to make a connection through focus and effort. Types which he might have a normal chance of linking with are boosted because of his ability to link with other types, such as bug and poison. He cannot link with Dark or Ghost Pokémon. The best word to describe Hiro-no is emaciated. One could easily count his bones just by looking at him and it took a severe amount of time to put on any amount of weight and be seen as anything other than skeletal. Even after he started eating well and consistently he stayed thin. It particularly affected his face; his cheeks remaining hollow and his eyes deep-set, giving him a permanent look of being gaunt. His malnourishment left him on the short side, at five feet two inches. His hair is a dark brown, almost black. Like the rest of Aurora’s citizens, Iie’s skin is dark in tone. On top of this he has a deep tan from year-round work outdoors and seasonal sunburns that pop up in the same places on his shoulders, back, and face.

“Seriously. These guys were so impressed thinking I befriended a deer with a flute. Just link with ‘em, it’s not that hard.”
He got one (1) advantage and immediately became a bully.
"Pokemon are nothing to be afraid of. Once you understand them, they're no more or less of a threat than any person."
Said with an alpha Luxray at her feet, rolled over onto its back and purring like a kitten. Alright, so maybe she has a bit of an unfair advantage.

@ranseiuniter || baby time
Okay, so even he knows it’s probably not the smartest idea to just stay somewhere because a grown man picked him up, took him there, and said “you’re siblings now”. Iie could, and should, be doing a lot more to figure out how to get home. And where here even is. On the other hand, they fed him. And the kid he’s supposedly siblings with is a lot of fun.
“Onee, they’re not looking.” Anyone who understands the fun of sneaking out is good people.
