I just finished reading The Mortal Instruments and this is how I see the characters

(mild spoilers) 

Jace- daddy issues with the occasional identity crisis, *punches wall*

Clary- typical nice girl-adventure seeking-new to romance protagonist, “wait, where’s Simon?” 

Simon- he doesn’t get into drama he just shows up, “a few months ago i would’ve never thought i’d be friends with shadowhunters , be a rat, be a vampire, be a daylighter, be a normal kid, be a shadowhunter”

Alec- 10 coffees with some mood swings, “because i’m the oldest i should walk directly into fire while being held at gunpoint by the enemy” 

Isabelle- too good for you, “Simon, NO!”

Magnus- acts wise and all knowing but would still follow google maps off a cliff, “Alec, NO!” 

Raphael- always has a plan, *drugs Simon* 

Maia- doesn’t let boys ruin her life although they keep ruining her life, “he reminded me of my brother” 

Sebastian- says he has a plan but doesn’t really, “I can’t hurt you, but I can hurt Simon!”
