Rules for Submission
1. First and foremost, this is an accessible blog. That means any images/GIFs/videos/audios submitted will have an image description/audio transcription with them. If you would like, you can write the ID yourself, which would be greatly appreciated. If not, I can write one, but it may take me longer to get to your submission in that case. Also, not knowing your character, I may get info wrong in the ID, so the best way to ensure everything is correct is for you to write the ID yourself. The ID does not have to be excessively detailed, just stating the most important info about the content that you are submitting.
If you would like a guide on how to write an ID, you can check out the link at the bottom of this post. If you're ever unsure about an ID or have any accessibility concerns with a submission (such as questions or needing content to be tagged a certain way), feel free to send me a PM about it. Asks are fine if you would like to remain anonymous, but please be aware of the possibility of me not seeing it if my inbox is particularly full.
2. While I would love to see any and all OCs, I do have a few rules about things I will not accept/post. This list may be updated from time to time, so please check back any time you are submitting a new post.
Content that will not be accepted:
Sexual situations/fetish art (Non sexualized nudity is fine)
Heavy gore/graphic violence (Light blood is fine)
Flashing lights (A huge no no, I am photosensitive and any submissions with flashing GIFs/videos will be deleted immediately)
Any videos/GIFs/audios with jumpscares
Any racist/sexist/homophobic/ableist/ageist/transphobic/classist/religiously bigoted content (If I accidentally post something that falls under one of these categories, please let me know and the post will be removed. I will always try to do my research if I suspect something is hateful, but I may not be aware of all prejudices/stereotypes and as such, may miss things)
Stolen/Uncredited art
OCs from non original works (I will already be putting a lot of work into making sure posts are following other rules, I do not want to also have to research other media to see if I am willing to post content from it or not)
3. All OC content will be accepted. Whether it is art, videos, edits, stories, cosplays, etc, it's all good here, so long as it follows the other rules. I would prefer any content be contained within the post, but outside links to reputable websites (youtube/wattpad/furaffinity/deviantart/etc) will also be accepted. I may ask for a resubmission if I am unsure of the safety of a link.
4. Depending on how busy this blog gets, I may or may not give a reason for not posting something. I may do a bulk post of reasons for not posting submissions, where I'll have a list of several submissions and the reasons why I have not posted them (ex. "To the user who submitted [Random OC], please resubmit with proper credit to the artist").
I will not delete the post until at least a week after this resubmission request, so feel free to message me and ask for the content you submitted to know what exactly you need to correct. If I end up very busy (I will try to keep a fairly up to date queue, linked below), I may not make these resubmission request posts. I am only one person, and an unorganized person with ADHD at that lol. Things may get lost and I apologize in advance for that.
5. Please do not spam with messages/asks about when your submission will be posted. I will get to them when I get to them and that may take a little bit of time. In the same vein, please only submit any given character once. If you constantly disregard this rule, your submission(s) will be deleted and you will be blocked.
6. Please only submit OCs that you have permission to submit. Any OC that you created is all fine and dandy, but if you are sharing a friend's OC, please provide proof that you have permission to do so (it can be as simple as @ing the person in your submission). Same goes for if you are posting something that contains your OC, but also has others' OCs in it as well. Please always credit the creator of the character/art.
7. Content warnings at the top of a submission would be appreciated, but are not required.
8. Any type of OC is welcome. I know some people sexualize furries/monsters/etc, but so long as there is no sexual content submitted, they are more than welcome!
9. Please let me know if I describe or tag your character incorrectly and I will fix it asap. Even if you are not IDing your post, it would be appreciated if you provide your character's age and pronouns. I have a list of tags I use in a link below if you want to know about my categorization system.
10. I use the tag Queer Character for any character that has been specified as being LGBT+, I am using it as an umbrella term. Don't waste your breath on telling me it's a slur (my identity isn't a slur), this is the term I am using and if you don't like it, leave! Please always let me know if I ever get any other terminology wrong, but I am never looking to debate identity politics.
///
I know there are a lot of rules/guidelines here, but it is because I want this blog to be a safe and positive space. That doesn't mean that the submitted content has to be sunshine and rainbows (believe me, I love some good angst/horror), but I want those who do not wish to see that to still be able to enjoy this blog. This blog is about sharing cool ideas and your neat OCs. I never want to staunch that excitement, but I also want to make this blog open and safe for all.
