The @shoecare_shop recently reached out to me asking if I'd like to check out one of their gift boxes and I was happy to do so. They sent me the Saphir Single Pommadier Giftbox which actually fills a nice spot in my shoecare arsenal. At home, I typically prefer large horsehair brushes, but those don't travel well! So this little set will now be my go-to shoecare travel kit. With the natural colored Pommadier cream from @saphir_official I won't have to think about what color cream to grab when traveling so the kit is always at the ready for whatever smooth leather shoes I bring. Not pictured, but included is the necessary cotton shine cloth from Saphir so you don't end up using hotel hand towels to get a shine . . Sadly sending off one of my favorite pairs, the @edwardgreen dover in redwood antique, to a new home today. However, it's a necessary step forward as I transition toward semi-bespoke/MTM/personal lasted shoes to accommodate my unique foot shape. #burzanhands . . My most recent pickup because no New York trip is complete without at least a few shoe shop visits and taking at least a pair home. So from last week' trip and my first visit to the New York @carminashoemaker store, EEE width forest lasted split-toe loafers in a rich chocolate brown suede. . After trying wide widths in the Rain last, it would seem that last just isn't for me, but the Forest and Detroit lasts work better for my problematic wide and flat feet. I'll have to see how this pair breaks in and wears over time, but I'm starting to think that even with wide fitting shoes, the fit isn't really where I want it to be and MTM/bespoke is really what I need.
