All I Have is Faith.
IS FAITH ENOUGH?
SOMETIMES IN LIFE, YOU REACH A POINT OF DESPERATION WHERE ALL YOU HAVE IS FAITH. WHEN YOU REACH THAT POINT, KNOW THAT YOU'VE MADE IT. YOU'VE UNDERSTOOD THAT THIS IS REALLY ALL IT TAKES.
Have you ever prayed for something to happen and it just seemed to be getting worse. Like instead of the situation getting fixed, it just seemed worse. The more you prayed, the worse it got? LOL. That’s what happened to me and my prayer request recently. I was praying for a certain situation to change and for some reason it just seemed further to attain. I strongly believe that this challenge was meant to discourage me and lead me to give up, but The Lord gave me a word to hang unto and that was Hebrews 11!
Our God is the God of impossible. Whatever is impossible for man to do, He can do very easily. So the fact that the situation got worse as I prayed just meant that God wanted a challenge, he perhaps wants to prove to me and others what he can do. It just means the testimony will be even greater right?
Have you ever noticed that God doesn’t do easy things… I mean take a moment and think. He can do simple things, great and small but he likes a challenge. He specializes in the impossible. Just to prove that his power cannot be matched to that of man. He really loves tough complicated things forcing us to involve him for breakthrough. Just take for example the people of Israel. When they were trying to dip out of Egypt, it could've been soooo much easier and simpler for Pharaoh to straight up say yes the first time, but how much fun would that have been? How would Gods power manifest? Instead, every single time Moses appeared before Pharaoh, his heart got hardened harder and harder as he declined time and time again. But this just made the testimony even greater.
Well, you guys my situation seemed just like that of Moses and the people of Israel. I really wanted to give up because I figured no matter what I do or say, this situation won't change. Until I realized that my expectation should not be in the situation to change in of itself but it should be in God, to change that specific situation. So, I went back to the basics of faith. I hung unto Hebrews 11 and kept believing. Because, I mean, if God gave me this faith it must mean he will accomplish it.
One thing you must know, if you don’t already know, is that God is not a deceiver. He won’t drag you along, he won’t tease you or lead you on without accomplishing what he said he would do. He’s not a liar. I believed with my whole heart that if God, who is the beginner and finisher of my faith, put this faith inside of me and gave me hope to believe in him that meant he would do it!!!
Fast forwarddddd to this month. I was just chatting with God one morning right, and was reminded my prayer requests and I let out a sigh because I was annoyed. I mean what else could I utter to him. There is nothing else I can do at this point but to believe in you and not what I can do to change this situation. And I said very softly:
“all I have is faith”.
That’s when it clicked! I got out of bed and grabbed my laptop to type away.
That’s really all it is. That’s the point of it all I feel. For you to come to the realization that all you have and all you can afford is faith… After you've prayed, after you've fasted, all that is left for you to do is believe and have faith. That's really all it is.
Whatever it is the Lord put on your heart to pray for, don’t let go, don’t give up until you see the manifestation of his glory in your life. I repeat, do not give up. There is a reason you have this faith and this assurance. Leave it all in God’s hands, if it is his will, he will do what he has promised, in his own time.
I hope this message inspired you, the same way it inspired me.
My next collection I will be working on will have the word 'Faith' inscribed on it. Coming out soon hopefully. I just want it to be a reminder to you and those you will encounter to never loose this faith you have even when situations you're praying for are getting worse.
