HELLO EVERYONE! I feel like I should have made this announcement earlier but I regret to inform that me, Weylin, will be taking a break from Maddox for an unknown time. I haven’t been motivated to play as them for a while and no new ideas have come up for me. I may occasional post here with new tid bits for Maddox or Sirius might post but for a while I will not really be participating in roleplay at least for Maddox. I have other projects I’m working on so…. :)

Altair has always felt the most comfortable in complete darkness. Whether from their own biology of being made of the void of the night sky, or their own mother's domain, they have always found comfort in the nothingness. It really doesn't get to go out much and stare off into the cosmos it hails from all that often. It has been around among deities and mortals for a long while, since it left it's more solar siblings to observe outside their origins. Alt in all honesty never really felt it fit in with it's siblings who burn bright with star power. The star core that shattered was all of the same, it has the same core, but still being launched out into the voids of space makes one different then the nebulae that fueled the rest. Instead the all-consuming cold just embraced that shard of star, encasing it in void, and cradled the void shard in a foggy abyss.

"Hi mom, other, whoever is listening," Alt voice breaks the silence, it stares out at the ever expanding window of space that shrouds this area of the planet, "I'm doing well. I've made friends. I'm doing my best. I'm protecting those who need it. As you taught me, mom."

The Celestoid giggles, "I think i'm finally understanding why life is so important. However I think i'll stay here even if I got what I wanted. A part of learning this is I guess is gaining a purpose. I'll visit though. Or try. May be hard." Alt frowns, "You live with your partner, right mom? their domain is always moving. I'm unsure where it is. But I will find it. I promise. Thank you for letting me exist." Alt smiles before disappearing off again to wherever they sit, awaiting a time they will be needed again.

(A voice calls out, as Alt appears from the shadows as the entity tilts its head curious and seems a bit relieved too.)

….I guess. Everyone keeps telling me to do so. Might as well just get it over with.

(They sigh)

You’ve been through…a lot.

(Alt comes forward and forms beside Maddox)

I- I don’t know. There’s just so much going on, it feels wrong.

(Alt seems to shrink down at that slightly. A sadness.)

you really don’t need to carry the universes on your shoulders all the time, Maddox. You are allowed to take breaks. You can break too if you never give yourself that. Others can help shoulder the load until you are at your best again.

(Maddox looks down at the ground.)

I don’t want them to get hurt more…. if I leave I can’t protect them.

(Alt forms a hand to set on Maddox in comfort)

the others are strong. They can defend themselves as well. You did so much already. You deserve a break. So many have been telling you this already.

….(theyll look at alt. lemme make a roll for decision making….)

(Maddox will turn to alt. and fucking hug them tightly. This is completely different than normal.)

(Alt tenses up for a second from surprise before it hugs back. Just as tightly. Almost…protectively in a way.)

(They (Maddox) just stay there in the hug. They hug like never before.)

(Alt is there for fae. Solid best it can be and hugging back)

(Eventually Maddox will slowly pull away.)

I…. I think it’s time for me to go….

(Alt nods. You can get an impression Alt would be smiling if it had a mouth)

get that well deserved rest. I can help watch out while you are gone.

Try stepping away from it for a while. Go to a different world that isn't involved with that stress. The hardest part will be staying away, but it will be good for you. Once you have rested and taken the time for yourself that you need, you will come back stronger than ever.

This stress will kill you if you don't take a break. Then you definitely won't be able to help. You want to help your friends? You need to take care of yourself first so that you can help them.

Taking care of myself would insinuate that i would need to relax. Problem is, pretty hard to do currently.
