Mass Effect au where instead of the Starchild, Shepard finally gets indoctrinated by the Reapers at the very end and you have to play as the squadmate with highest relationship points or their LI to stop them. 

If your ems is high enough, you can break through the indoctrination and bring Shepard back to stop the cycle.

If your ems is too low, you have to stop Shepard. 

Permanently. 

And it falls to you to activate the Crucible.

Started Playing Mass Effect 1 a little while ago and...

Me (playing relatively blind): So I know there's romance in this game, but I doubt there's gay romance since it's from 2007, so who should I date. Garrius seems cool (did not know he was unromancable in this game), and Kaiden has some interesting backstory going for him.

Two years and twelve days after the tragedy and loss of the Normandy SR-1, a Cerberus facility is destroyed from the inside. One of the survivors is rumored to be the missing in action, previously believed to be deceased, Commander Shepard.

After two years and twelve days, Liara begins to feel her heart beat again.

I'm back on my bullshit and here with some shameless self-promotion of my new Mass Effect fic! Part of my Among the Stars series, this fic takes place during portions of the interim between ME1 and ME2 and the Redemption comics, as well as during the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. it's so sad and tragic that Shepard departed with a smile. I mean, must be making the memory less bitter for Liara and letting herself feel the moment, be true with her own feelings, sincere, despite being in the middle of a battlefield.

Not sure if the non-human team members have the SAM implant, but this lil comic runs on the assumption that Peebee does.

And that SAM is like EDI in their ‘it’s just biology, what’s wrong?’ synthetic attitude, thus lacking the social skills to know when they’ve shared too much.
