I don't need to look to sci-fi to fantasize about shaping the self. We read about mechs, cyborgs and androids, we aspire to the idea of self-modification, but I can alter my body any way I like. In four years, I've become unrecognizeable. Or rather, I've become recognized for the first time. New organs have grown, old ones have been rebuilt. Though my body is less physically powerful, the force of my personality has multiplied tenfold. Is there a greater pursuit than this?
