Kindness is foundational to building community, and community has a ton of rewards.

Quick example, I live with my mother, we only have one car, but she works from home so I generally use the car to get to work.

But on the occasions my mom needs a car whilst I’m at work, she can ask my retired neighbor to borrow her’s for the day so she doesn’t have to get an Uber.

And we help said neighbor with carrying groceries up and down stairs and will run errands for her on days she’s too tired to go out.

We all benefit from these acts of kindness. If you can’t figure that out, I dunno. Skill issue I guess.
