For anyone who might need to read this.

I saw a tweet about this and some people talking about it here on tumblr, and I honestly feel like I'm saying something obvious but I want to reiterate the following:

Schrodinger's Yuu: All Prefects are canon and not at the same time. Self Inserts included and especially.

The anime, manga, and novel are adaptations, correct? Which means the game's story will always be the original story, right? (this is a rhetorical question)

This isn't even a case of a series, book or movie where fans simply start imagining themselves in a story that has nothing to do with them.

NO, we didn't make ourselves the main characters of the story, the GAME made us the main characters of the story. One of the main mechanics of the game is to insert ourselves into that world.

Self Inserts or OCs prefects have always been part of the game experience and story.

All this to say that no matter what prefects appear in the anime or appeared in the manga, they are not the real prefects because there is no "real/canon" prefect, because both they and we are ALL the "real/canon" prefect. The character default name is literally Yu/Yuu (You).

And that's not just something we decided, it was always the intention of the game. They knows our names and wishes us a happy birthday.

And if you want to ship yourself with the characters, guess what, you can! I myself can't help but do it. Because let's face it the game kinda indulges you to do that. And if you don't want to do it, you can not do it too!

So whatever comes with the anime release, don't let potential new annoying "fans" ruin your enjoyment of Twisted Wonderland when the game itself wants you to be able to enjoy it this way. ❤️

The only people who can tell you what is canon or not are the people who make the game, not other fans like you or me. Whatever fans say are opinions, not facts, just like this post, you choose to give it whatever importance you want.

And at the end of the day Twisted Wonderland is just a game: the most important thing is that YOU HAVE FUN however you want, not who is right about something. 😘❤️❤️❤️

The Twisted Wonderland anime is confirmed to be an adaptation of the main story!! The animation will be handled by Yumeta Company x Graphinicia and can be streamed on Disney+.

Seasons 1-3 have been greenlit. The first season, Episode of Heartslabyul, airs in October of 2025!! 🌹

Seasons 2 and 3 are dedicated to Savanaclaw and Octavinelle, respectively. No dates have been announced for those yet.

UPDATE: According to this tweet from Yana, it sounds like the anime will be an adaptation of the comics/manga adaptation.

twst 4koma nov 2024 update~

The Episode of Savanaclaw update has been delated to January. There's no update for the Episode of Octavinelle either! Only the 4koma this time.

***4koma spoilers under the cut!!***

This month's 4koma features Malleus and Cater as the main characters! Malleus spies a gargoyle in the background of one of Cater's Magicam pics and asks Cater to show him that gargoyle on an aerial stroll. He gets the chance to show off gargoyles' charm to Cater~

Silver is surprised that Malleus has invited Cater and mistakes Cater as a new member of Malleus's club.

Silver is surprised to see Cater riding his broom without keeping his hands on it. It's such an advanced technique... but Cater says he rides like that because it's easier to take pictures with both hands free!

While checking out the gargoyles, Malleus and Cater spot the headmaster on a break. (Cater mistakes him for a raven-shaped gargoyle!) abhvaiudvof8eebfa CROWLEY LOOKS SO WEIRD WITHOUT HIS TOP HAT ON...

Cater wonders if Malleus would use magic to bring gargoyles to life so he can interact with them. Malleus says no because that would interfere with the gargoyles' duty of redirecting rainwater. (This is ironic because he was so giddy to meet the living gargoyles from Fleur City/the City of Flowers!) Cater then determined that Malleus is actually more like the type of person to turn living beings into stone so he can cherish things forever and ever. And... well, given the events of book 7... YEAH, I'D SAY CATER'S SPOT ON WITH THAT OBSESSIVE TAKE.

They come across the gargoyle that Malleus saw in Cater's picture. He says that it looks different irl than in Cater's picture; it's actually a gargoyle Malleus has already seen before. ... Turns out that Cater had used a ton of filters on his image, so it made the gargoyle look completely different.

AHHLAIDHBAIBDAEBVIOFQYBPALNCA THE FINAL PAGE OF THE 4KOMA... Malleus summons Sebek (who, of course, rushes to his side) and shows him a picture of the gargoyle he saw with Cater. He says that the gargoyle resembles Sebek, which moves Sebek to tears and has him shouting that he has been blessed by the young master 😭😭😭
