choices that matter?

the only choices matter this season was, that boys wont be crazy over us and actually accuse us of using them just cos we explored our options, as if that's not what LI is about, as if they wouldnt do the same? both larson and hayden accused me of using them, when 1: i was single on both occasions and 2; i had options so i did well to explore my connections considering i was on LI. Ava still bitchy, no occasion to call out Nyah, milo tk her bk actually but larson is mad at me, uhm...ok.

i do honestly fuck so hard with any fantasy or otherwise not a direct 1:1 recreation of the real world setting that acknowledges that mental illness and trauma still exist without compromising the fundamentally different common societal perceptions that would develop around it as a result of that convergent timeline. i love that it allows for more immersive worldbuilding without denying the reality of people's experiences to achieve it. like you can still have PTSD it's just called battle sickness or some shit.

sometimes bad things happen to you but the manner in which they're inflicted is so indistinguishable from the sorts of cruel and unusual misfortunes that befall a character in a sitcom created for the sole purpose of suffering for other people's entertainment that it's impossible to even begin to get upset about it
