Hey folks! I know I don’t have a huge following or anything, but for those of you who look, I wanted to make you aware of my new Travelogue Blog. I’ve got a few exciting adventures/ a life change coming up, so I thought now would be a good time as any to start chronicling things!

I’ve re-surfaced this old blog I’ve had laying around, and added in the remains of my old “Veeblesaurus” webcomic, from my Calarts days! Feel free to follow me on SweetlesJourney, I follow back. =)

Summer 2016.

My folks came in June for a two week visit from Pennsylvania. We had a blast, and I probably kept them way too busy with all our plans. This was their first “real look” at Alaska, and I wanted to show them as much of this beautiful place as I could.

They came up in 2013, individually: My mum came up during my last month of pregnancy, and my dad was up for a week after I had the kiddo. This pretty much meant that they were both stuck inside with me ALL THE TIME, between exhausted pre and post-mom-dom, and Alaska’s January weather. 

We took a train to Seward, hopped on a day cruise, jetted around Anchorage and Palmer, drove down to Homer to spend a weekend in Seldovia, and took a glacier cruise out of Portage after visiting the Wildlife Conservation Center.

Very excited to share a new comic I made with @annasellheim (The first part by Anna, the second part by me)

We both really believe that @plannedparenthood is vital for women’s health, so to show our support we made a comic about our lovely experiences there.

Whoops! Forgot to repost these here! Gonna work on day 4 during breaKs and lunch! Woo!

Day 2 and Day 3 WIPs of the 30 day background challenge! I did most of the he legwork for yesterday’s prompt ( witch’s bedroom) but didn’t get to ink it yesterday, so I’m working on that. Today’s prompt was an uninhibited planet. The sketch is quick and doesn’t show off anything except asymmetrical compostion, but I have ideas for the final thst th should make if very shiny and attractive. Having fun, at least!

Told you I was going to start it. =P Quick pic for proof, no time to color today. They all might get initial drawings, with polish later. Not a whole lot of time after work and hanging out with the kiddo.

I started the 30 day Background challenge today, because it seemed like time. I’ve had it in my favorites for a while. This was a lot of fun, and pretty zen, actually. I did a quick sketch for perspective of our room/studio, then let myself remember alot of what was in the room. 

It’s a pretty big room, but we definitely live in it.

Since I noticed that I RARELY draw backgrounds I decided to do a 30 day background challenge!!!!!

I hope Darla and Stacy (the girls walking) will keep me motivated to do this! Please lazyness don’t overcome me!

By the time I finish this post, it will be illegal in my country

Hello again friends.

As I wrote in the title, this post will be illegal in Spain in less than an hour. Why? Because in 1 July of 2015 will come into effect the new “Ley de Seguridad Ciudadana”, the “Law of Citizen Security” or how the people of Spain call it LEY MORDAZA, in english GAG LAW.

This law was approved by the government with the oposition of the rest of political parties, the population of Spain and even the EU, the UN and the Greenpeace between many others because is the most agressive attack to the human rights, particularly to the right of freedom of speech.

In less than an hour doing something of the next list will be illegal among many other things:

Manifestations around the Congress and the Senate

Take photos or videos of the police, even if they are using force against the people. 

Stop an eviction

The pacific resistance

Tweet or spread information about a manifestation in Internet

Criticize the spanish monarchy

Spread information of the crimes of an accused party (like those participants of the government and politicians who now are being accused of corruption)

But the worst part is that, if you do any of those 44 new guidelines, you will be found guilty no by a proper judge but the government itself under the accusation of administrative offence, with a fine till 600.000 €

In short: this new law search the most agressive way to silence an entire population against one of the worst governments we ever had since the dictatorship of 1939.
