A Note to my Followers

To the followers who don’t say much: having you there still means a lot. Even if you never send in an ask or anything, I don’t care. I appreciate that you still follow me anyways. And it’s nice to see you there liking and reblogging my stuff.

To the followers who buzz like bees: When you reblog 17 of my posts or send my multiple asks in a row, you aren’t being irritating. You’re making me feel like I’m doing something right as a blogger. Thank you.

To the shy anons: I don’t know if you follow me or not, but regardless of why you sent in that ask, I’m just happy to be hearing from you. You aren’t a bother. You make me feel awesome.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been here, and I am so appreciative of the people who have stuck around in my absence. Life has been hectic to say the least. I started graduate school two weeks ago, and also two weeks ago one of my best friends passed away. Also, my husband and I are applying for a mortgage so things are a little crazy. With all this stress in my life I find myself severely needing Rufus right now (my husband encouraged me to get back onto this account to help deal with everything). Please bear with me as I ease back into things. I want to take this slowly, since I am feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable right now.

Ooc: wow thanks to my new followers! I am really sorry for vanishing but after my kitty passed away I had no desire to do anything. be patient, please, as I get my muse back slowly after that. It was really a major blow to me. Oscar was my fur child. :(

I pretty much feel like a part of my soul was just ripped away from me because that cat was my child and I love him more than I love most people...so I am just going to go afk while I cry for who knows how long. Out of the office for the weekend.

//Hi friends new and old! So I will be out of cell service/wifi range for the weekend. I’m heading out of town to rough it in the wilderness to look for reptiles and amphibians all weekend starting early early early tomorrow morning. One of the perks of being a herpetologist is you get to pack up and go on little adventures all the time. Fear not, I have not gone MIA again I am just out doing my day job. <33//
