Yep, that was intentional! When I was hatching the idea in my head, I had the idea that even being on the verge of abstraction, Ragatha wouldn't lose hope for Jax and help from him until her last breath. She doesn't want to "die" and tries to console herself with the thought that Jax will help her and the others, that he can help them, that abstraction is reversible. That's why she's trying to ask him for help, poor rag dolly. BUT ALSO!!

As for me, Jax, even if he does not want to admit it, sees in Ragatha his last, insignificant hope that all of them will stop disliking him, that one day he will become loved. He's afraid that, postponing attempts to become better and ignoring the voice of reason, he'll one day simply not have a chance to ask Ragatha about it. Of course, Jax thinks of her as a toy that magically, without needing anything in return, will make his life better, but he's afraid of losing her, although he's also afraid to take the first step. In his dream, he's tormented by guilt and conscience for what he did, primarily towards Ragatha, as the only one who had such power to forgive people and not hold grudges against them. Quite possible that in this dream Jax whispers apologies for everything, but whether it was so – think for yourself :]
