Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection launches February 27, 2025 - Gematsu

Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will launch for Switch and PC via Steam on February 27, 2025, Konami announced.

A physical edition will be available for Switch, which includes one of two Quarter Century Secret Rare “Harpie’s Feather Duster” cards.

Konami also revealed Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul, Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction will be included in the collection.

Infinity Stones AU: Trickster Meet the Children

I…have….DONE IT!!!!!!!

So many of you guys have asked for an entry about Loki meeting the Yu-tagonists but it turns out that Loki is a character that is really hard for me to write. I’ve been off and on this one just trying to think of ideas and it has finally come together! I hope you enjoy!

“I want my brother to meet the boys.”

Tony nearly dropped the welding torch on his toe.

“I just want to put it on the record that this is a terrible idea Thor.”

“I understand but I think this can truly help my brother in his recovery.” Thor explained with a pleading look in his eye. “He has been very reluctant to meet with anyone because he has a belief that everyone still thinks he is evil.”

“I mean technically….yeah…” Tony said, “But why the boys specifically? They’re just kids.”

Thor had a knowing look on his face, “Precisely. They are children who do not know of Loki’s history. Based on their adventures that they have shared with us, I have a strong feeling that they can empathize with my brother.”

Tony really hoped that this didn’t end in disaster.

Loki wasn’t sure if Thor had lost his mind, more than usual. He had simply wished to spend some quiet time reflecting in a remote cabin but of course, his brother had to show up without an ounce of subtlety and insisted that he had to, in human terms, make some friends. 

Perhaps Thor had been watching too many Earth children shows involving magical equines.

But Loki had accepted his fate as the reluctant traveling companion to the Avengers Tower. Upon arriving, he spotted six unfamiliar faces.

“When did this tower turn into a child care center?” 

“Far from that dear brother…” Thor had a weird smirk on his face, “I think you will find these boys rather delightful.”

Loki cocked an eyebrow, “In what way?” He took another glance at the group and nearly doubled back when he saw a few things that he somehow missed on his arrival. 

He counted at least 3 spirits hanging around the boys, at least because one boy looked like he was four souls overlapping in the same body. Other bizarre powers seem to radiate from them, one signature felt very familiar…

“Thor…” Loki took a deep breath to compose himself, “Did I just witness one of those boys use the Space Stone to fetch refreshments without leaving his seat?”

“That you did. Yuma is getting rather creative with its use.”

“But I thought you told me you dumped the stones to be lost forever in the multiverse. How are they back?”

“That we don’t know…” Thor admitted, “They seem very attached to the boys. But enough of that…time for introductions!”

Loki blinked as he finally realized what Thor’s plan was, “You are going to leave me with them unsupervised?!”

“There’s nothing to worry about,” Thor grinned, “If worse comes to worse, they can take care of themselves.”

Somehow Loki did not find that reassuring.

Alternatives to Squishmallow

So as many of you have probably already heard, Jazwares, the company that produces Squishmallows, is donating to charities that support Israeli soldiers and the IDF. They’re also supporting Canary Mission, which has been doxxing people who speak out against Israel. BDS hasn’t called for a boycott against them, but I can’t in good faith spend my money on their products, and I would strongly encourage everyone who enjoys plushies to really think long and hard about if you want to give your money to a company that’s helping support genocide!

But the holidays are coming up, and lots of us enjoy plushies and were fans of Squishmallow, and were planning to give Squishmallows to friends and family this year.

Fortunately, there are a number of great plushie companies out there, and I want to promote some of my favorites in the hopes that folks will get their plushie fix from a source that doesn’t side with Israel. So without further ado:

Fluffnest

Fluffnest got their start on Kickstarter a few years ago, and I adore the round shapes of their PuffPal plushies! My favorite is Pete the Possum, which is probably the best possum plush I’ve ever seen. I’ve also got a beautiful moth from their Kickstarter and I’ve been wanting their bats for ages. They also recently had a Kickstarter for an Animal Crossing-esque video game featuring their plushie characters and it looks fantastic.

Squishables

I can’t get over the plague doctor plushies. They’re so perfect and cute, and they’ve released other variations of them called Alter Egos, like a ghostly version, an alien, or a really sweet cottagecore one! They’ve got a ton of variety, but what I like the most are the fantasy plushies. There’s a lich! There are dragons and demons! Cryptids! Biblically accurate angels! A lot of really fun stuff!

Also they do a lot of great charity work! Right now they’re doing an auction for the Food Bank of New York City.

AfternoonFika

AfternoonFika is a very small business of only three people, but their plushies are extremely cute. They tend to sell out fast, so I recommend following them on social media to stay on top of any restocks! They recently released a line of dinosaurs that are precious, and of course I love their iconic cactus cat and cinnamon bun bunny.

Jellycat

Jellycat has been around since 1999, so they’re the oldest of these companies. They’ve got great designs, a ton of variety, and a lot of their plushies are made to be cuddled on and not just displayed. All three of my tiny nephews sleep with a different stuffed dog from Jellycat. My mom has a sun and several succulents that she uses as decorations. There’s a little something for everyone who enjoys plushies!

If you have any other favorite companies I haven’t mentioned, feel free to add on! I’ve enjoyed Squishmallows for a while now and I’m sad to see their leadership coming out on the side that’s committing war crimes on a daily basis, but this is a good time to discover new favorite plushie companies! And remember, money speaks loudly. Even if BDS hasn’t called for a boycott of Jazwares, it sends a message when sales start dropping for companies that support genocide. It’s a small thing, but the little things we do can add up!

A PSA about trucks from a truck driver

I and some colleagues were talking about how we wish everyone could see the safety videos that our company was showing us, because I don’t think most people understand how traffic works in a truck. So here’s some things we wish everyone on the road knew.

- we’re not kidding about tailgating. If you’re right behind us on a straight highway? Chances are we have NO IDEA you’re there, which means we can’t anticipate any of your movements. Plus slowing down takes multiple downshifts, so we might start decreasing speed way earlier than you expect.

- We’re not kidding about any of our blind spots. WE CAN’T SEE YOU, GUYS.

- That bit about slowing down taking a while? The same goes for when you’re in front of us. Don’t cut off a truck. Oh god, PLEASE don’t cut off a truck. If you cut me off, I’m not irritated, I’m terrified. For YOU. It can take 7 to 9 seconds for us to stop. DON’T CUT OFF TRUCKS.

- Before you get mad about how slow we’re going on the highway, keep in mind that many companies govern their vehicles so they literally CAN’T go over 60 or 65. This is a good thing, I promise. Because…

- Do you know what happens when a car meets a truck in an accident? The car gets totaled and the truck needs a new coat of paint. You will not win this fight. I know nobody likes getting stuck behind a big dumb truck, but it’s not worth your life.

We are trying our best to protect you from our 80,000 pound death machines. Please help us out.
