KULTURA: Ang Pamana ng Nakaraan, Regalo ng Kasalukuyan at Buhay ng Kinabukasan

I remember reading this poem back in junior high school and instantly love the deep the meaning of this poem. "Kultura: Ang Pamana ng Nakaraan, Regalo ng Kasalukuyan at Buhay ng Kinabukasan” by Pat V. Villafuerte is an artistic representation of the roots of culture, the battles and triumphs of ancient or indigenous people, and the evolution of world culture through persistent struggle in ever-changing times.

Because culture developed during ancient times and was influenced by ancient people, it is a legacy of the past. These individuals are both our ancestors and our roots. We value what we have now and back then since they contributed to its development, continuation, and existence for many generations to come.

Culture is a gift of the present because we continue to learn from their talents, skills and inherited wisdom. In every move we make every day and as we live our traditions, our culture continues to color our lives. Art, medicine, science, astrology, strategy in social and political affairs, technology, and business are the talents that help us in our daily lives.

Culture is vital to the future because it has been passed down to and gifted to our generation and generations to come. If we do not learn about and value this culture, we will not have a future. We can deduce almost all of our movements and products from our culture.
