I always envied Persephone, as she was lily light, grace personified, but her ankles bruised lavender when she was dragged like lucifer into hell; Petunia petal skin melting away, revealing ruby crusted bone, lipstick looking less like roses and more like blood. She went from prom queen to hell in high heels, a thunderstorm woman born from a raindrop girl, and you will never convince me that the woman who holds hell in the palm of her hands is weak.
