Feeling too much
can hurt sometimes,
but one day you grow
and realize
that your heart
was never really
broken.
It was just
wide open.

"I've learned two things in my life. One that love is the beginning and end of all meaning. And two that it is the same thing whatever shape our souls have taken on this journey. Love is love. Is love." — Clive Barker

When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, O LORD, I shall seek." Psalm 27:8
Many of us are after God’s hand, His provision and His blessing but the Psalmist David is going much farther—he is after God’s face. He wanted an intimate relationship with His LORD. Don’t let the demands that life brings keep you from what God is after. We want to be pragmatic and resolve our problems, but God wants us to know Him and, in the process, become more like Him. A relationship with God is much more than just changing our present situation, He wants to change us with His beauty…change us from glory to glory.

Let Go and Simplify

‘Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you’ (1 Peter 5:7).
When we commit our way to the Lord Jesus, and trust Him in everyday matters of life, we can be confident that He will act. But how often do we try to do it our way and miss the best? If we really do believe that God loves us and cares for us with an interest in every detail of our lives, why is it that we find it difficult at times to ‘be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him’ (Psalm 37:7). God wants us to let Him be the burden bearer and give us peace in such situations.
Prayer: O LORD God, thank You that You care so much even about the little details of my life. Please help me to let go, and let You do the carrying. Thank You that there are so many encouragements in Your Word that tell me to do this, and thank You for the peace You give when I let go and hand the situation over to You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God."Philippians 4:6 If we’re going to impact our families, our nation, and our world in these critical days, prayer is where it begins. What was the first thing the Early Church did after Jesus’ ascension? "They returned to Jerusalem…to an upper room” and “continued with one accord in prayer and supplication…” (Acts 1:12-14). If those who walked alongside our Lord for three years were dependent upon prayer, how much more are we? What a grave mistake we make if we are casual about our prayer life. If worry assails you, pray, if you are anxious, pray, and give thanks because He's a God who answers your prayers.
