My days are filled with students make the teacher moments, but this one this morning is going to be one of my memorable ones. Slowing down is best when practicing a difficult passage, and it is easier said than done. In the moment of inspiration, this was our conversation: “It’s like writing a letter to a very important person. If you were writing a letter to your favorite friend, would you hurry up and scribble your words, or would you slow down and try using your best handwriting?” “Slow down and do my best handwriting, …ESPECIALLY if I’m using a pen!” “That’s so true!
