kaeya
he understands your predicament. all you want is to get away from the one who claimed to love you but was always up to no good! toxic people need to be removed from your life just like any other negative thing!!
so why didn’t he..
kaeya is a man to claim he only wants the best for you. to only protect you like any other client he ever takes in.
he was a very successful lawyer. especially in mondstadt where your trouble lies. you were extremely thankful to have him there with you all throughout the case.
but why only hold onto you for the case? don’t you want to try again with someone new? could he be that someone? he promises to treat you well. treat you like a god.
he’s devoted to you. somehow he always manages to find a valid reason to get you to come back to his office to chat with him.
you owed him your life for getting you out of your old circumstances. he was your free therapist for whenever you needed to talk about whatever was on your mind at that moment that troubled you.
letting you sit beside him as he rubs your back and praises you for getting past it, and how he’s always there for you. how you're such a brave being for talking about this.
he tries not to push you into a relationship immediately. instead, he tries throwing hints at you. that you should devote yourself to being his doting housewife. all he asks is for your hand in marriage.
and if you don’t want to do anything around the house, that’s alright! just be loyal to him and don’t try to run. it would be a shame if your ankles broke, now wouldn't it?
now all you need to do is sit down, take the pen, and sign your name on the line. no need to read over it. the fineprint isn’t important. it’s just to ensure that you consent to him being your lawyer. you trust him, don’t you?
zhongli
he uses contracts 24/7 on a daily basis for many reasons. this isn’t new to him. over the course of time, he’s developed ways of sneaking things into contracts that a normal human wouldn’t be able to catch unless they looked closely.
which was perfect. especially when you entered his office to file a divorce with your partner for whatever reason. you were a naive little thing who needed someone who could help you.
and of course, who was he to turn down such a pretty face? If there’s one thing about doing a case with him, it’s that he wants to make eye contact as much as possible.
but he doesn’t want eye contact with anyone. he specifically wants it with you. and only you. along with the eye contact concept, he hates when you make eye contact with anyone but him. it gives him the icks like crazy.
do him a favor and keep your eyes on him at all times, alright? he won’t ask you that face to face. he wouldn’t be able to hold back a blush if he tried. something about you just makes it hard to control himself.
he wants every inch of you to himself. he would do quite literally anything if it meant you would be his lover. but let’s get back to the main point. slipping something into your contract without your knowledge just makes him smile.
if you looked close enough into his eyes, you would notice his mischievous intent. but why would you suspect something so vile from the man who’s done everything to ensure your safety?
when he finally finished a copy of a contract, he slid it to your side of the desk where you sat and told you to sign. you didn’t bother reading it though. not like you ever did after your 2nd contract with him.
by that point, you trusted him with everything in your body. everything he now owned of you, of course!!
ningguang
oh, dear me! you seem so distraught by your partner. her first instinct is to get all the information she can. at first, you’re just another person trying to escape your life and start anew.
but as time passed and you both got to know each other a bit more, she was hooked on you. she wanted to see you daily. even if that was her day off. she wanted to spend it with you.
unfortunately, you weren’t always free to spend your time with her. you had a job and family who you also devoted yourself too.
but no worries! on days like that, she would watch you from afar to ensure your safety. she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if you had gotten hurt mentally or physically.
safety wise, if anyone was to hurt you, ningguang would spend her time digging as far as she could into that person’s files to get a valid reason to put them behind bars.
if they hurt you physically, there wouldn’t be much work to do. assault isn’t hard to put someone behind bars for. unlike physically where she needed more justification to get back at them for hurting you like that.
she is a feared woman. she always finds loopholes to get back at people so no one bothers to get on her bad side. though her patience for others was slim, she was more lenient with you.
you did something bad and she was right there? oh that’s unfortunate that she was turned around admiring a piece of art being sold! doesn’t look like there’s anything she can do about it if she didn’t see it herself.
so when she dragged you into her office letting you know she was almost ready to finish up your case for court, you were instructed to sign two contracts. one was a consent form. while the other was a form that would make you her property.
what’s the harm in lying, saying it’s just a backup form of consent in case anything happens to the first one? just be a good client and sign the forms, would you?
yanfei
she’s on the same level of IQ with contracts as zhongli and ningguang. except she is a little more experienced in lying.
it’s a secret she hasn’t told a soul. she has lied in court numerous times. that’s her secret. she didn’t want to tell anyone, but she swears she only does it for the greater good!
no one is the wiser to think she’s a liar. do you realize how long she’s been a lawyer for? anyone would be shamed on if they tried to call her out for lying.
so because yanfei is an amazing lawyer, you obviously chose her to help get you out of your toxic relationship. who wouldn’t? never in her time of showing up in court for a case has she lost a single one!
you were very impressed by her. she was successful like most people only desired to be. but you didn’t desire success in business or commerce. no, not one bit. you desired freedom from your life.
a freedom you believed only yanfei herself could help you reach. She promised you could rely on her for it. She gave you discounts on your case and offered to give you a position in her office for the meantime to help you pay what you had to.
this job was to be her partner in the office. you didn’t have to do what you think you might have. all you had to do was bring her drinks and food, talk to her during her breaks, and back her up when needed. which was rare.
“here, sign this. what is it? oh, it’s just a consent form to show you’re fine with me being your lawyer and also that you’re fine with assisting me in the office. you don’t mind signing it, right?”
you immediately assure her you have no problem signing it and you do so. not wanting to keep her waiting, you carelessly signed your name quickly and slid the paper and pen back to her.
“thank you, n/n. ah, m-my apologies! i meant y/n! i didn’t mean to-” she was a mess, blabbering about how she was sorry when all you could do was smile and laugh while telling her it was alright and the nickname was cute.
she hid her face in her hands as you got up and said your goodbyes for the day, telling her you’d see her tomorrow. also adding on that you want her to keep calling you that nickname.
“o-of course, n/n.. see you tomorrow for work!” and once she heard the door close she couldn’t help but smile and pick up the form you signed, allowing her full ownership of you.
heizou
he smiled as you entered his office. just like he did for every other client of his. you shot him a smile back and sat in the chair across from him.
as much as he wanted to halfass this like how he did most of the time, just seeing you and how desperate you were sent him to give it his all. though even when minimum effort was put into one of his cases, he still won, he didn’t want to risk anything bad happening to you and this case specifically.
he chose to dig deep into your partner’s data file for the first course of action and pulled out some records to look over. your partner wasn’t the best person to be around, let alone date.
“if this was your choice, why did you even get with them? were you unaware of all they had done beforehand?” you raised a brow at his question. “what have they done? i was never aware they had a record. may i take a look?”
he handed you the file for you to skim through. curiously, you pulled out one document at a time. your curious demeanor was replaced with a scared and shocked one.
you opened your mouth to speak but nothing would come out. your throat felt dry as you realized you were dating a horrible criminal. heizou did his best to hide back a smirk.
he couldn't be more ecstatic about you realizing you were dating such a person. there was no way you’d want to get back with them after this. that’s why you were here today, was it not?
to get out of the relationship? it’s what you wanted, right? well you’re in luck! he’d gladly get you single again if it meant he had a chance.
“before we continue this case, you’ll need to sign some papers tomorrow confirming you’re fully consented to me being your lawyer. can you do that?” you agreed to returning tomorrow to sign some papers.
“perfect. does 4 PM work for you?” he bit his tongue before he could call you ‘darling’. he didn’t want to scare you off. he never will want to scare you off!
soon you’ll be all his forever. then he wouldn’t mind calling you his. you didn’t have a choice but to just accept his affection. and tomorrow you’d set yourself in a position right where he wanted you.
ayato
when you were directed by a staff member to his office, he immediately looked up. you sat down and he couldn’t help but get excited to ask you all about yourself.
“uhm, shouldn’t we be talking about why i’m here? not about myself?” he chuckled. “of course. though i like to know my clients. i’m not compatible with all of them. what’s the point in wasting my time on foolish people who won’t understand a word i say?” he had a point.
so you both started talking. everything seemed innocent. but he had so many ideas on what to do with such information. he just had to make an extra file for himself!
“can we talk about why i’m here now? i want to get this case over with as soon as possible..” you sighed. “alright then. why are you here today, y/n?” “i want a divorce from my partner along with a restraining order.” he nodded.
“well i need you to first get them to sign these. do they ever read anything you give them?” you shook your head. “alright. get them to sign these by tomorrow. i want to get this started soon.”
you picked up the papers and skimmed through them. they were divorce papers. “i’ll get going now. goodbye, mr. kamisato. i appreciate you offering to help me.” he wore a shit eating grin as you walked out of his office, excited to let this all begin.
once you returned the next day with signed forms, he took them and put a paperclip on them. “sign this.” he slid a pen to you along with a paper. “What is it?”
he groaned. “just sign the paper, would you?” he was playing annoyed so you'd only comply and do what he wanted. he promised himself that once he got you with him, he would be nothing but kind and gentle towards you.
you eyed him, taken aback by his attitude. but you didn’t want to start anything so you signed whatever this paper was. once you did, you gave it back to him. but you were lost. why was he laughing all of a sudden?
“ mr. kamisato, is everything alright-?” you felt uneasy at his sudden response. “oh you must be so confused at the moment. i hate to break the news to you like this but you just signed away yourself to me.”
you immediately stood up. “so you tricked me?! i can’t believe i trusted you to help me! i should’ve known your snobby attitude was a red flag. i hate you so much!!” you snapped at him.
“you can hate me as much as you’d like, my love. but you can’t reverse what’s already done. so i’d suggest you sit back down before i do something rash to you.” he was quick and sharp with his response, like he knew what you were going to say and how he was going to respond to it.
instead of heeding his warning, you turned around and were making your way out of his office. but the door was locked. you fiddled with the knob until you finally gave up.
“you planned this, didn’t you? look, i’ll be yours. just let me out!” you were biting back tears and your shaky voice made it clear. but he only seemed amused at your fear.
“i’m afraid i can’t do that. then you’d try to get help. you’ll be staying at my estate forever, my love. now are you going to come with me willingly? or will i have to be forceful with you?”
al haitham
your desperation to be freed from your partner had driven you to going to al haitham’s office. there were plenty of lawyers in sumeru but al haitham was who was recommended to you by many. especially for your situation.
you didn’t know what made him so much better than anytother lawyer. he had a vision. That was quite literally the only distinct difference between him and others.
so when you walked in, you soon realized how handsome the man before you was. sure, you were trying to get out of a relationship now, but afterwards maybe you could try shooting your shot.
“why are you staring, y/n? something catch your eye? please, have a seat.” you blushed with embarrassment. were you really staring for that long? and how did he know your name?
you would ask whenever you had the chance. but it seems chit chat about random nonsense wasn’t on his to do list for you. he wanted to get straight into it.
“you see, i’d love to get to know my clients. but there’s a lot i have to work through when it comes to them so i don’t have any time to talk about things that don’t even belong in a case other than their name and some other stuff.”
you began telling him about why you were there, your current situation at the home, and how desperate you were for any type of help as soon as possible.
“of course. but i’m afraid i can’t just jump in immediately to help. you’ll need to give me your consent.” he leaned forward some and lifted your chin to make eye contact with you, “so, y/n, do you mind signing a consent form saying you don’t mind my help?”
the eye contact you both had made you blush and made it extremely hard to focus. “seems you’re staring off again. what has you so distracted, dear client? hm?”
his remarks were only made to tease you. but it wasn’t anything normal. he hadn’t done this for any of his clients. you’re the first one he’s done it for. you didn’t need to know that, though. he wanted you to only see him as your lawyer for now.
“go ahead and sign for me, alright?” you nodded and signed while your hand tried not to shake from the sensations soaring through your body.
you slid the form back to him and looked down, playing with your fingers in your lap. he checked your signature then put the paper down.
“you’re looking nervous. is something wrong?” he stood up to walk over to you, kneeling down to feel your forehead.
“you’re burning up! maybe you need to rest here for a bit. i’ll take care of you, no need to worry. there will be no extra fees for this either. just close your eyes and relax, alright?” which you did.
but your partner wasn’t quite sure where you had been the past couple of weeks. that’s a secret al haitham would never tell.
but would it really matter if you just gave yourself to al haitham? he could tell you liked him from the beginning. you weren’t very sneaky.
cyno
he teases you a lot about this case, cracking a joke here or there about your partner. as much as you despised them for what they’ve done to you, it felt off and weird that your lawyer was being so unprofessional at the moment.
“they signed the divorce papers, correct?” he asked. you nodded. “good. now i need to talk to you about something.” you looked confused. “alright. what is it?” you asked.
“this next form i’m about to give you will make you mine unless we both sign it off otherwise. but i won’t let you not sign it. so you’ll either need to sign it willingly or i can force you too. and i’m sure you know what i’m capable of..”
it took you a moment to process and register all he said. but you could pick up that he was threatening you. “c-cyno.. i don’t think i’m ready for another relationship right now…”
“i’m sorry to hear that, sweetness. but i’m also sorry to tell you that if you don’t sign it i’ll have to become forceful with you. you know i don’t like hurting you but i’m not against it. so please sign it..”
he gave you the paper and a pen. you looked up at him to see him staring right back at you. “go on. sign the paper. you always seemed to cooperate with me. so be good for me and sign that form.”
you caved. you were scared. scared of what he would do. his polearm sat in the corner of the room on his side of the desk. you had eyed it a couple of times.
“i appreciate it, sweetie. now come here and sit on my lap while i finish up some paperwork for the day. okay?” you had no choice but to get up and sit on his lap just like he asked.

in stamina nimiam implicitus- miscellaneous
cw // slut-shaming, suggestive content, mdni
a/n // this won't really have any genshin characters, but a sorta peak?ish thing in mc's life so feel free to skip this. [based off of this post ]
ever since you made your presence known to the superstitious lands of teyvat, news of your taboo acts spread amongst the seven nations like wildfire. many names, insults, threats, and obstructive stunts alike were thrown at even the mention of your title, as you never stuck to one name; always introducing yourself as flora of regional specialty such as aster, henna, cecilia, qingxin-- an idea originally rooted from a lack of creativity that now became apart of your 'brand'.
your notorious reputation immediately shoved what used to be tones and expressions of pity and condolence out of the window, greeting you with looks of disgust and disdain whenever you go to buy at shops or even glance at someone. it wasn't any better than your previous treatment, but you preferred it much more than feigned empathy more blatant than an amateur conman's lies.
a small shot glass slid over to your direction, spilled drops of liquor sticking onto the aged wooden counter. with a quirked brow, you looked at the bartender who was tending to one of the bar's many patrons.
their attention diverted to you for a brief moment, sage locking with [eye color] before winking at you. oh. 'how charming,' you thought, raising the glass to eye level and swirling the ornate liquid. the thought of the alcohol being just a kind gesture was, while pleasant, was far from the truth, but it was nice to try to view it from that perspective from time to time.
taking a swig of the liquor, your eyebrows scrunched at the sudden burning sensation running down your throat. you slammed the glass on the counter, coughing as the bartender approached you.
"whiskey?" they nodded. "i thought a strong liquor would be a magnificent drink to pair with a strong-willed person." once more charmed by the stranger, you laughed half-heartedly. "such a bold statement from someone i've known only moments ago."
"i think i already know all there is to you, nympho." the name they called you brought a look of bewilderment to your face. their tone was cool and nonchalant, not a hint of malevolence evident in their voice despite the irony of them calling you a whore.
they took your silence as a cue to speak once more. "usually, bartenders have little need for introductions with clientele, as the only words exchanged are orders of alcohol or whatever's present on the menu," they started, cool demeanor and laidback smile never faltering. "but, now that one of teyvat's most notorious individuals is seated across from me, to not make an exception is discourteous." they reached to collect a martini glass from a cupboard beneath the counter, setting it on the table as they cracked their martini shaker open and poured a liquid into the glass.
"the name's trancy, your personal server for the rest of this dusk." a gloved index finger pushes the concoction to your fingertips.
"how...pleasant." you swallowed down your discomfort. "i wasn't aware my reputation preceded me. much more than i thought it could." you slipped the stem of the glass in between your ring and index finger. "tell me, is this laced with poison or spiked with some sort of drug?" trancy froze abruptly at the sudden question, looking up at you in disbelief. their demeanor shifted uncomfortably.
your lips curved into a slight frown. 'must a stick be shoved so far up their ass they'd be surprised when someone reciprocates their ill manners to them?' you sneered, eyebrows furrowing. the air between you two grew thicker, the air heavy with discomfort.
you eyed the drink in hand once more, breathing an exasperated sigh before downing it in one sitting. perhaps being poisoned wouldn't be so bad.
the ginger watched you intently, eyes wide with surprise before bursting out in a fit of giggles. "you anticipate me more and more the further you play out these antics of yours." they said, dimples ever so present on their cheeks. "had i known you were so intent on dying, i would've concocted a drink with a much more potent poison." they joked, taking your used glass and setting it aside.
you laughed along with them, the grimness of their humor nullifying the unease you'd felt previously. you two exchanged pleasantries and jokes as they served other guests, time flying by much quicker than you'd expected.
by the time the clock hit 2:00 am, the bar was nearly empty. the lack of loud chatter, a bard's performance on stage, drunken banter between patrons-- it would've filled you with angst, but trancy's presence helped the night end on an enjoyable note(ish).
tossing the rag they used to wipe the counter to the side, they dusted their hands before going back to you, perching their chin on their palm as they stared at you with a playful glint in their eyes.
the two of you stared at each other, sharing a moment of silence just as you did before. though, instead of one of discomfort and unease, it was one you were all-too-familiar with; one of lust-- the main course you anticipated ever since trancy handed you that shot of whiskey.
'sex with a charming barista and exquisite alcohol on the house? count me in.' you grabbed their collar and
------
you sat up from the damp cushions of the bed, eyes sullen and dull as you try to wake yourself from the groggy state you were currently in. you took in a deep gust of air, and let out a long sigh. sweat dripped from your neck to your bare chest as you nudged yourself to the edge of the bed, groping the floor for your discarded clothes before clumping the garbs together.
you slipped on your undergarments and buttoned your crinkled blouse before padding your way to the bedroom door. as you reached for the doorknob, you glanced out the window, at the dark orange sky before you made your way downstairs.
you toed on your boots of leather before leaving the house once and for all.
it was yet another night left on a soulless note.

in stamina nimiam implicitus - fatalis occursus
a/n // i greatly apologize if i mischaracterize any of the characters, as i'm unable to replicate the characters' purple prosed(?) dialogue. also, just before i anger anyone with my character pairings, most of them are put together not because i ship them or anything like that.
alberich, kaeya - mondstadt (khaenri'ah, perhaps?)
╸every once in a while, you'd treat yourself to bars or fine dining despite the little mora you have. a little tradition you picked up from a light novel you've read before.
╸having used up most of your remaining coinage on poor choices (and do it once more this night), you stumble your way to angel's share as you try to adjust your coat to hide the ripped and stained parts of your blouse done by one of your 'client's' spouses.
╸you stepped into the tavern and took in the alcohol-tinted air, a hint of familiarity pricking at your nose.
╸taking a seat on an empty barstool by the counter, you notice a blue-haired man clothed in shades of navy and alike seated next to you, talking about light-hearted gossip with the bartender.
╸'it's always a treat to see fresh meat in this tavern, isn't it?' he asked rhetorically, catching you off-guard as you wondered if it was directed to you or the person he was talking to.
╸"what would make you say that?" the man turned to you, a slender champagne glass in hand while he used his other to lean his cheek on. "a set of eyes boring into the back of your skull is a feeling that can't be mistaken for no other, don't you think?" his words brought a slight flush of embarrassment to your cheeks.
╸"tell me your name, stranger." there was something about his suave voice that sent shivers down your spine. "it's the least you could spare me after the eyeful you got from me. i'd hate to get off the wrong foot with someone i have yet to know about." he uttered, suave voice spreading throughout your brain like butter.
╸it took you a brief moment to think of a name to introduce yourself as. you've already used aster (windwheel aster), dandy (dandelion) was unfitting for the persona you portrayed, which led to your last option.
╸"cecilia. i must apologize for the rudeness. i'm afraid i presented myself in an improper light different from the one i hoped to." the man remained silent, taking a quick sip from his glass before averting his attention back to you once more.
╸"pray tell, what is this light?" he asked curiously, voice glinting with interest. "an eye for an eye, captain. can't say til' you state your own name in return." he let out a hearty laugh at the joke and your unintentional pun.
╸"kaeya, cavalry captain of the knights of the favonius." he paused. "though, i'm just a captain without any cavalry to lead."

Hello! Could i ask for yan kazuha and venti with a reader who came from another world like the traveler? Gn pls :)
summary. venti and kazuha with an otherworldly darling
warnings. manipulation, unhealthy relationships, general yandere themes
venti ;
like the traveler, i think you ended up somewhere in mondstat, but unfortunately for you, it was venti who found you instead of amber.
from the very moment he saw you picking sunsettia in whispering woods, he was absolutely mesmerised. venti's a creep and a disgusting pervert, he can't help but stare when he finds someone attractive. and you, goodness, you just looked so delectable. your shirt lifted when you lifted your hand above you, exposing a bit of your tummy for him to view as he pleased. within just a few seconds, he was already hard, and his thoughts ran rampant.
he hid in one of the trees just a few yards away, watching intently as you stood on your tiptoes trying to reach a sunsettia that was too far up. he found it amusing the way you huffed, nearly falling over after attempting to jump up and grab it. you were adamant about getting that fruit, and venti saw it as the perfect opportunity to get acquainted.
he approached you with a friendly smile on his face, asking if you needed any help — to which you frantically said yes. he used his anemo powers to push himself off the ground and into the air, just high enough to grab the sunsettia you so desired. you were in complete awe when he landed and handed you the fruit. it nearly fell out of your hands when you jumped in his face asking how he did that.
that's how he found out you weren't from this world, and he took complete advantage of that fact. he told you a lot of lies, and you obliviously ate them all up without a second thought 'cause you trusted him fully. even if you were a bit hesitant about some things, there really wasn't anything you could do about it 'cause you knew absolutely nothing about the world of teyvat.
kazuha ;
kazuha saved your life, that's how the two of you met. during his travels in liyue he saw you surrounded by a pack of hilichurls, holding a mere stick as your only defense. kazuha's a gentleman, he couldn't just leave some helpless person to die when there was a possibility he could save them — so he did.
you thankes him profusely, telling him that you'll forever be indebted to him. he smiled politely and told you what he did was nothing, that anyone would do it. he was intrigued though. why would someone with little fighting prowess be so far out from liyue harbor where countless dangers lurked?
he kept his curiosity to himself, instead offering to stay with you in case you were attacked again. it wasn't till later when you learned he was okay to trust that he found out you were from another world. you told him you were all alone and scared cause you didn't know where you were or how you got here, but he comforted you.
you two got quite acquainted on your travels together. he loved hearing you talk about where you came from, but whenever you mentioned going back, he felt a twinge in his stomach that made him want to throw up.
he didn't want you to go back. you couldn't just leave him when he was there for you, protecting you from all the dangers of teyvat when you were all alone and helpless. it just wasn't fair, how could you even think about abandoning him like that? he got moody and withdrawn any time you said you wanted to go back, and poor, clueless you had no idea what was wrong with him.
he'll use manipulation to keep you with him — reminding you that you owe him your life for saving you. it makes you feel so guilty. but kazuha would do absolutely anything to keep you with him, even if that meant hurting you a little bit in the process.

@ddarker-dreams, @yandere-romanticaa, I hope you don't mind my tagging you two
~
The night’s smoke still burned your lungs as you were thrown to the floor of a new room. Wooden, nice quality by the feel of it, even as it collided violently with the side of your face. The edge of a carpet pressed into your cheek. Your arms and legs had been bound and you were blindfolded, though you were sure that you wouldn’t recognize your surroundings if you’d been able to see. As such, your oh so gracious guards had dragged you to whoever’s office and thrown you to the floor with as much grace as could have been expected.
“You’re not nearly as fun to watch when you’re tied up like that,” a voice mused, smooth and even. “Leave me with them.”
“Milord,” one of your guards tried.
“You think someone like that would let you throw them around like that?” he the voice purred. “I have faith in your ability to do something as simple as restrain a thief to the point where I can safely interact with them. Unless I shouldn’t?”
“No, no Milord,” the other guard stuttered. “The thief has been restrained as you requested.”
“Good. Now, you two must be curious as to why I wanted to speak to our dear guest, yes?”
“W-well-,” the first guard began, breaking off with a yelp.
“It’s not our place to ask,” his partner broke in, “but even I must admit to curiosity.”
“You two studied under our dearly departed Rosalyne, didn’t you? It shows.” The boss gave a low chuckle. “Well, I’ll tell you anyhow. They put on quite the show last night, didn’t they? Such a graceful sword style on a lowly thief, surely there must be something more there. I can hardly bear to think such a lovely art has fallen to the petty criminals.”
The guards didn’t respond, and you could only imagine the mute nodding and nervous glances they must have been exchanging.
“Leave us now,” the voice told them. “I wish to speak with our dear guest alone.”
The guards hesitated, but left with a reluctant “Yes sir.”
Without waiting for permission, you sat up, tucking your legs beneath you to sit seiza. “Shall I take off that blindfold?” he mused, coming standing up with a sigh of shifting fabric. “I must admit I was struck by the way your eyes glow.”
“What does it matter?” you ask, debating whether or not you could spit on his shoes blind.
“I suppose it doesn’t, does it? Now, what does matter is how you managed to find that particular shipment.”
At this, your mouth twists into a sneer. “We thieves have our ways. You know that.”
“I haven’t the faintest clue what you’re alluding to, dear, now please be cooperative lest I lose my patience.”
And all you could do was laugh. “To answer your question, the local Treasure Hoarders were getting agitated, so something good must have been on the way. I will tell you, I had a really shady contact. Never worked with the buyer before. Sold the lot of ‘em to her for half again market price. But the Fatui ought to know better than to smuggle precious stones and metals in Liyue.”
“Seems careless to me, that you wouldn’t at least confirm your contact’s reliability.”
You laughed again. “You assume I’m some normal criminal, stealing for the money. I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie. The money’s nice, and I got paid handsomely, but mostly I just like causing trouble.” Just thinking about it, you could feel your blood heating up. Had he been any less important than he seemed to be, you might have attacked him just to see what he’d do. “So, I don’t particularly care. The threat of getting caught is part of the fun.”
“You’re a foolish creature,” he mused, mulling over your words. “A foolish, lovely thing. I should like to keep you.” He snapped his fingers, an idea striking him. “I know. We’ll have you make another bargain with that buyer of yours.”
You shook your head a little. “She’s not the kind of person someone in our line of work deals with twice unless we want to get caught.”
“Do you not?”
“You think I want to rot in a cell? You’re not very good at this, are you?”
“It’s been a long time since I was your run-of-the-mill pickpocket, yes. I’ve moved on to grander things.” Suddenly he was in your face, you could feel how close he was. You wrinkled your nose at the cologne he was wearing. He took your face in one hand, fingers digging mercilessly into your cheeks. With his other hand, he removed your blindfold. “What?” he asked as his teeth came into focus. “Don’t like it?”
He was pretty, as men sometimes are, and you immediately hated it. Clean well-dressed, and yet he didn’t even deny coming from the same place as you, beginning an illustrious career as a pickpocket. Well, not exactly the same place.
But he didn’t know he wasn’t like you. “Hate it,” you replied easily. “I didn’t grow up caring about being rich.”
“Interesting. So you didn’t grow up a street wench, I assume?”
“Probably not,” you allowed, only growing angrier when his mouth pulled up into a pretty, smug little smirk, grip easing enough to no longer be painful.
“You amuse me, really. It’d be a shame to let you go or kill you.”
You leaned back a little, hoping to put some space between you. “I’d almost rather you killed me,” you muttered, not particularly caring if he heard you.
He probably picked up on this, and leaned forward into your personal space, at the same time, pulling your face closer. You barely suppressed a flinch that he undoubtedly noticed as he placed his forefinger and thumb over your left eye socket, admiring it like a fresh-cut jewel. “You do have such pretty eyes,” he purred, pressing his fingers into the soft flesh, a silent threat. “Maybe I’ll keep one in a jar if I don’t get to keep all of you.”
~
“Just the person I was hoping to see.”
You scowled. You knew that girl was trouble the moment you laid eyes on her. The fur coat, the jade bracelet that missed its pair, she was openly far too wealthy to be some girl, and yet no one knew her name. “What do you need?” you asked, putting on your work face.
“Now, now, let’s be friendly here. I know who you are, and I’m looking to make a deal with you.”
You click your tongue, turning to face her, leaning back on the bar. This had Tianshu fingerprints all over it. “What kind of deal?” you asked.
The woman sat down beside you, unconcerned, and ordered drinks for the two of you. “What will it be for you tonight?” she asked. “On me, as a gesture of goodwill.”
“A classic mijiu will do,” you replied, unsurprised and unimpressed when she called a top-shelf brand.
“I work with the Ministry of Civil Affairs,” she said, daintily swirling her cocktail, feigning indifference.
“I figured as much,” you told her. “What does the Ministry want with me?” You were sure they were trying to arrest you but you weren’t going to bring it up until they did.
“Because you’re talented,” she said with a knowing little half-smile.
“I’m not the only stray in Liyue that knows how to use a sword,” you reply. “Surely there’s better qualified people than-,” you wave your hand in a gesture to yourself, “this.”
“That’s precisely why I wanted to speak with you. After your father was convicted, we know your siblings moved to Sumeru, where your family’s savings continue to support them, but you disappeared besides a few chance sightings.”
You frowned into your tea. “I’m sure you can imagine why I out of all my siblings want to stay out of the public eye.”
“Naturally,” she agreed, all sympathy. “Though I suspect this is the best offer you're going to get, considering how you've chosen to make your living.”
You clicked your tongue, irritated. “I’ll be the judge of that. Let’s hear this offer before we make assertions.”
At this, she laughed. “I like you. Well here it is. We’ll sponge your record if you become our eyes and ears in the underworld.”
You frowned at her. “I hope you don’t expect me to start a gang.”
She laughed again. “Of course not. We just want someone that can move freely with the less-than-savories, you understand?”
“Hmph.” You couldn’t exactly refuse. She knew who you were, and what you do. Probably had a tail on you if you tried to slip out. “Fine,” you said with a sigh. “What’s the catch?”
She swirled her drink in her glass. “There isn’t one, really. You just report to the Tianshu.”
“I knew it,” you muttered. “Let me guess, you’re the next Tianshu?”
At this, she seemed to be caught off-guard. “Now what makes you think that?”
You shrugged, sipping lightly off your drink. “The public doesn’t know a lot about the Tianshu. I was born into an old martial clan. You work for the Ministry, and yet no one recognizes you. It’s not difficult to put together.”
The woman had gathered herself by now, and was smiling again. “I knew I made the right call. Your decision?”
You scowled. “It’s hardly a decision if I don’t really have a choice. Bring me a written contract.”
She smiled. “That’s what I like to hear. My name is Yelan, the next Tianshu of the Liyue Qixing.”
You waved at her, almost dismissive. “Just tell me where to meet you.”
“How does Xinyue Kiosk sound?” she asked, immediately relaxing into a friendly sort of chat.
You gaped at her. “Even before my father was arrested, do you think I have something to wear to Xinyue?” you asked, incredulous.
“Fair enough, I didn’t really think of that,” she said in a way that seemed to you that she certainly had. “How about Third-Round Knockout? Or Wanmin?”
“Third-Round Knockout is fine,” you sighed, feeling rather like you were getting into much more trouble than a clean record was worth.
~
“I’m sorry to give you such a risky assignment on your first day, but I heard a little rumor that there was a large shipment of precious stones and metals getting smuggled by the Fatui.”
You nearly choked on your drink. “It’s bad enough you want to make a career criminal of me,” you coughed, scowling at Yelan. “I’m not getting involved with the Fatui.”
“I only need you to confirm it. Feel free to cause them some trouble if you’d like. The Ministry will pay you half again market price if you can retrieve the goods, but prioritize your safety.”
You liked to think you weren’t a money grubber, but half again market price for a shipment of valuables… Well, you were Liyuen. Gold ran in your veins as much as it did anyone else’s. “We’ll see,” you allowed. “When and where?”
Yelan laughed. “So direct. I like that about you.”
You glared at her again. “What do I have to defend?”
She waved off the question. “Lingju Pass. In a fortnight, according to my intel.”
So, she was testing you. Fine.
“Not like I really have a choice,” you muttered.
She beamed at you. “That’s what I like to hear.”

I would sell my left kidney to have some mafia boss Venti content
content warning: yandere, possessive behaviour, unequal power dynamic. reader disrection is advised.
Okay, I've had this thought before! Because Venti's definitely the one who seems super happy-go-lucky—the type to murder someone in cold blood, but all the while smiling as though he were playing a game, humming all the while a cheerful tune under his breath. The type to use extremely thin blades hidden away everywhere on his body in secret pockets no one knows. He's short, but he’s earned a reputation. The throwing-knife, stabby kind. And he likes to make his toys sing.
So how I imagine the backstory is that you’re an investigator that’s managed to worm your way into the family, working right under the boss himself—the same boss that’s been so unknown to your department, who’s so mysterious that no-one even knew their name, outside of the top family members.
How it begins is this: in the city of Tevyat, there are seven prominent groups in the underground. You've been sent on a mission to infiltrate the ones that call themselves Mondstadt, the so-called freedom fighters (though fighting for what freedom, you’re not sure). How you actually get in though, is far from the usual orthodox ways afforded to investigators of working their ways up to meeting the leaders. The higher-ups of the organization were exclusive and hidden, the boss of the family even moreso.
But of all the bosses in Teyvat—archons, the populace calls them, since they’re similar to magistrates in that they set down the unspoken laws of the underground—the Mondstadt archon is the most unknown one. In fact, there had been rumours he’d already been killed, or stuck in a coma, or some other tragic event. The head of the Mondstadt group is now Jean, who’s inherited it from the old guard composed of people like Varka, but she’s not the archon, which tells you that the Mondstadt archon hasn’t been killed at all. Not if the title was still used on some hidden piece no one knew. It seems that the archon’s just extremely laissez-faire in the governing of his group.
Unknown this archon may be, but somehow, through a stroke of luck, you end up saving someone with connections to him. Not that you were aware; you merely thought he was an eccentric singer. His name is Venti, and you save him from a cat, of all things, the little kitten circling the frightened man who keeps sneezing and shooing it away. My saviour, he positively sings it when he inspects you up and down after the offending kitten has been safely given back to its own (a little girl in red, who has quite an explosive imagination). There’s this gleam in his teal eyes when he calls your name, a sure sign of a mischievous trickster. That should have been the first sign. But you suspect nothing of his darker roots, taken in by his boyishly handsome looks.
You still think he’s a normal civilian, so when Venti insists on rewarding you for your bravery (it shall be sung in ballads, he says with a smirk) by bringing you to a fancy dinner party as his guest, you accept reluctantly. Not because you want to go, but more so because this man sticks around you like sticky rice, refusing to let himself from your side even as you’re making your investigations. when you tell him you’re busy with matters. The excuse was that you’re interested in joining the Mondstadters, and that’s when his eyes twinkle. “Oh? Why would you want to associate with a bunch of thugs?”
“I think their philosophy is interesting,” you tell him half-truths, something about seeking power and admiring the Mondstadt archon and freedom in joining their group. If it could even be called freedom, how many rules and regulations the families set down in order to prevent territory wars.
“I see!” Venti claps his hands together. “Maybe you’ll find the party useful then! It has quite a number of notable attendants. Perhaps their connections will help you.”
“Notable? You mean like celebrities?”
“…you could say that!” Venti says while laughing.
Strangely enough, even though Venti’s broke—you’ve seen the poor state of his wallet, nary a penny to his name—he manages to send you this expensive suit set, complete with this little brooch at the lapel, emerald gem pinned, a pattern of the wind etched onto it. You don’t think much of it, much more aghast at the fact that Venti was able to afford this item—he could barely pay for his drinks whenever he dragged you to the bar with him, and even then, you paid for him half the time. The other half of the time consists of Venti putting the drinks on his tab and getting scolded for it by the red-haired bartender. So shocked were you, you don’t even ponder how it is that he knew where you lived. After moving to a new location because of this assignment, you’ve never told anybody your new home.
You attend the party. Grasping at straws, because the secrets of the boss were so highly protected, you sigh and make yourself decent enough to go. When you hand in the invitation, the guards at the front widening their eyes at the chicken-scratch of Venti’s writing, they let you in without a fuss, even bowing profusely at you as you step through the door. Rich people are weird, and it seems like the people they hire are even weirder, you think absentmindedly as you wander around the halls of this luxurious mansion. People give you a wide berth, occasionally glancing at the emerald gem you keep touching in some semblance of comfort at your lapel.
It’s when you try to get to one of the break rooms to rest your feet that you finally understand what Venti meant when he said there may be “prominent figures”. Because the person you almost knock over is the acting boss of the family, Jean.
She’s there, apologizing so softly, so politely, as you try to keep yourself from showing any of your shock on your face, your heart about to leap out of your mouth, beating so violently against your ribcage you think you may be ill. That’s when Venti pops in, that disarming smile, as always, present on his face. He’s surely laughing on the inside at your thoughts right now, racing so fast you struggle to keep up.
“So that’s your person, sir,’ Jean says, as Venti wraps his arm around your neck in a friendly hold—friendly only to him though, because you were finally beginning to understand. “You should keep a better watch. In this place… you never know who could take advantage.”
His.. person? Sir? The horror of the situation finally dawns itself on you, puzzle pieces sliding into place, as Venti nuzzles his face in the crook of your neck—an intimate gesture you’d gotten used to, having known him for months now, but only now does it make your mouth dry. Not with anticipation, no, but a deep unsettling dread that lodges itself in your throat.
“It’s okay,” Venti says to Jean, the smile never leaving his face. His eyes shift to the brooch at your lapel, and his arm lets your neck go, sliding around your waist instead, pulling you toward him. “Everyone we’ve invited should know better than to displease the archon of Mondstadt, don’t you think? Not if they don’t want to get a knife in their eyes, I’d think. I do enjoy the loudness of their screams though.”
Jean shrugs, nonplussed at his violent words. “Whatever you say, sir. I’ll be going now. The guests will need to be watched extensively, after all.”
You watch her leave, and finally you open your mouth.
“What just… No, who are you?”
Venti grins. “You said you wanted to join us, didn’t you?” His grip around your waist gets tighter, and you’re acutely aware that despite his slight form, he’s strong. Too strong for you to do anything about his touch, how his fingers are tapping on your hip bone a rhythm to an unknown song. “As your new boss, I must say…”
He leans into your ear, warm breath caressing the shell of your ears, voice sing-song with a smug satisfaction, “It’s such a pleasure to meet you.”
You swallow. You hadn’t even agreed to joining—but isn’t this what you’ve been working toward? So you smile weakly, say, “Likewise,” and pretend that his eyes are not sparkling at how your full attention is on him. Pretend that the kiss he presses to your cheek is just a friendly gesture—and not a mark of possession, like the one he’s pinned to the lapel of your suit, like the bruises you’ll find on your neck in the future, when Venti makes you sing like he’s always wanted.

Ruin | Yandere Dainsleif x Reader
CW: Stalking, unhealthy relationships, yandere themes, implied murder.
Word Count: 658
Dainsleif has never known a ruin quite so undoing as you.
To be entirely fair to you, and truthful to himself, it’s not wholly you. Rather, it’s him, with you acting as the unwitting catalyst.
You’re none the wiser to the new shadow you’ve gained. Sure, you might feel eyes on you, late at night, as you walk a little faster home than you normally do. Or you might notice the occasionally misplaced item on your nightstand, earning what’s a little longer than a passing glance as you try to figure out what’s wrong with what you’re looking at.
But it’s nothing concrete. Not yet. Nothing you can take to the Knights, nothing to make you do much more than double-checking the locks on your window every night before bed. You used to sleep with the window open, letting the wind carry the gentle ambience of sleepy Mondstadt evenings in with it. Not anymore.
Dainsleif knows that he’s the cause of your newfound paranoia. The guilt that is brought with it eats at him, worse than his curse, cutting deeper than any knife ever could.
The guilt eats at him, and yet…
He still finds himself sitting beneath your windowsill, pretending he can hear your soft breaths, watch the rise and fall of your chest, see the peace in your expression as you sleep– even though your back is turned to the window, and it’s too dark to see with the moon hidden behind dark clouds, anyway.
Eventually, standing guard at your window–a self-appointed duty, if only to disguise the ugly truth of the act and soothe what little of his conscience has not yet rotted and died– isn’t enough.
Dain moves from nights spent under the stars outside your home to nights spent standing sentinel in your home. It’s for your safety, he tells himself, a paper lie through gritted teeth, it’s for your own good.
He never touches you, of course. But it never stops him from looking, from standing across from your sleeping form and memorizing the gentle, quiet peace that finds you in dreams. You’re like the brightest star in his sky, blazing bright and fast across the backdrop of the universe. And Dain knows better than anyone that the brightest flame burns the fastest.
So he holds you as close as he can without holding you. Stands guard while you sleep, kills any wayward monsters that wander a little too close to you, keeps as much of the darkness at bay as he can manage despite being made of rot and pitch himself.
You will never know your shadow, but he knows you. It’s enough.
It’s enough, he thinks, to stand guard, to protect you, to slump against the windowsill bruised and battered and know you’re safe, making the blood on his hands worth the sin he’ll never scrub them clean of.
It’s enough, he thinks, as in a moment of weakness after hundreds of nights spent silently standing guard by your bedside, he breaks the very promise he’s sworn to himself– to you– with only the stars as his witness, and kisses the inside of your wrist.
It’s enough. And Dainsleif knows soon it won’t be, desires sparking like hunger pains, unbidden, in his gut.
He knows he’s damned. Knows the blood on his hands isn’t entirely for you, that if you knew the things he’s done under the guise of your protector, you’d think him a monster.
But if he’s a monster, then so be it. Let his feet fall heavy as he returns to your bedside each night. Let you stir and see him for the monster he is, let you know your shadow. May you never forgive him for what he’s done, for what he’s yet to do.
Dainsleif brushes a thumb over your knuckles, knelt at your bedside enraptured like he has for months now, and thinks that perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad to damn you, too.

˗ˏˋ꒰ 🍒 ꒱ evil, i've come to tell you that she's evil.
most definitely. evil, ornery, scandalous and evil, most definitely.
yandere! various! genshin impact women. (Because I don't give them enough love <33)
People whispered about a strange but striking adepti that suddenly appeared to roam the streets of Liyue Harbor, always dining on the most expensive and luxurious food but never finishing them, opting only to have but a single bite and leave the restaurant entirely, much to the chagrin to the people around her. Feeling brave you decided to approach the random stranger one day and without much of a hastle you accepted her with open arms and a happy smile, something that she found quite strange.
The beginning of the friendship was bumpy, and that was an understatement. Shenhe as you came to know her, had quite the temperament and thought that you were someone who was out to harm her at first. She threatened you but you managed to convince her that you were indeed harmless and that your intentions were pure.
To your surprise Shenhe was not an adeptus but a human. With her monstrous strength and cool attitude no one could be blamed for mistaking her for one but that made her more charming in your eyes. You'd praise her beauty and she would stare at you in confusion, wondering why you were saying such nonsense... Not that she minded though, she never once asked you to truly stop. You would meet her somewhere deep in the mountains, hidden far away from any prying eyes with warm food in your little wooden basket as Shenhe would wait for you beneath the moonlight, the forest leaves that hung on the tall trees being her only real cover. Hours would pass and the two of you would talk even if it was mostly you though. And then, you would leave, the crack of dawn signaling that it was time to head back to the city. You had duties and obligations to perform and you'd give your new friend a quick kiss on the cheek, a not so subtle attempt to get her used to the touch of other human beings.
Night would fall once more and she would stare into her reflection upon a nearby pond, the fond memory of your sweet kiss still happily replaying in her mind. Her heart was positively pounding at the mere thought of simply seeing you, let alone being able to spend with you. Shenhe however learned that if you love someone you must keep them close unless other people start getting funny ideas. She did read a few love stories in her free time and decided the best course of action would be to bring you with her. She could make you happy, she knew she could.
It was going to be just the two of you and she wouldn't want it any other way.
Golden embroidery and fine silk covered your body head to toe as you remained still in your place, the lingering touch of Ningguang's warm hand gently guiding you how to properly put on the incredibly expensive brooch as she carefully examined you, her heavy gaze never once leaving your body.
It was strange how someone like Ningguang would spend her precious time on someone as plain and unimpressive as yourself. There were times when Lady Ningguang would humbly request that you accompany her to some obscure destination, be it the nearby market or a hidden passage where only Teyvat's finest would meet to discuss about business and mora. You were often left dazed and confused, what were you supposed to be even doing at these events anyway? You'd always blush at the rumors about you being Ningguang's lover and she would simply laugh it off, never once actually even trying to stop the claims, as you oh so carefully noticed.
"Be by my side, that's all the support I need." she would say, he voice soft as silk, sweet like honey. The golden jewelry she wore would lightly prick your skin as she retracted her hand, her head turned to the opposite direction but her body still too close for comfort.
Everyone did always say that Lady Ningguang did have a keen eye for the finest things in life but you were often left trembling of the possibility that she might just take you as her own personal treasure instead.
"She gives me the creeps... AH!"
Thoma suddenly shouted in your ear as he let go of your hand with Yae Miko standing right behind him, a devious smirk on her pink lips as she did her best to contain her amused laughter.
The Kamisato housekeeper invited you to join him for a walk and a meal on this fine afternoon and since you had nothing better to do you accepted his gracious request. Thoma seemed to be on edge the entire time though, always looking behind his shoulder and never telling you why he was doing so. At first you ignored him, simply assuming that he was expecting someone to prank him or something similar of that nature but as the day went by your uneasiness grew and grew because the Thoma you knew was never this jumpy. With a stern glare from you Thoma decided to throw subtlety out the window and went straight to the point - he was highly uncomfortable with how much time you were spending with Yae Miko and just how possessive the head shrine maiden was with you.
She would monopolize all of your time, never allowing you contact with other human beings which was not healthy. Thoma saw how badly you wanted to be with other people but with Miko always hovering over you there was little to be done. He begged and pleaded, please put some distance between the two of you, at least for an hour. The shrine maiden caught onto the housekeeper's plans and decided to put them to rest as soon as possible.
There was no room for protest as Yae latched her hand to your own, telling you something how Thoma was just being silly and why were you out here anyway, don't you know that you didn't finish your duties yet?
Perhaps at least listening to him couldn't be so bad...
... right?
