Sorry for the recent silence, but I've been working on something big, and this is it! (Group collages are hard, you guys!)

A big special thanks to everyone who has submitted asks and interacted with this blog for the past year! It's been tons of fun to be a part of the pony ask blog community and I hope for just as much fun and friendship in the year to come!!

I wanted to say thanks also to everyone who has interacted with this blog who didn't get a character in the group shot. I've been really busy lately and didn't have time to make new art for characters I hadn't drawn already, only time to make small edits to existing art for the group shot. I see you, and I love you! *Hoofsies!*

Apropos of nothing, hi! Mun here, peeking out from behind my emerald curtain! I wanted to give you guys a little glimpse of "me" before scurrying back into wacky Ponyverse AU mode.

Before I scurry off again I wanted to make an announcement for myself and for this blog! Unfortunately I will need to put the blog on a bit of a hiatus during May. This may change depending on circumstance, but I will be having surgery at the beginning of May and recovering for several weeks thereafter. I may be able to work on some art while I recover, but I can't promise anything, so out of an abundance of caution, I'm letting you all know now that you might not hear from me again until June.

—loud Zap—

*There’s a pause, before a startled voice crackles to life.* "What the— *huffing…* did you hear that?"

*Her breath quickens.* That wasn’t thunder, it came from… over there. On the other side of the treeline. *Her panting intensifies as the sound’s of her hooves get louder.* I don’t see it anymore, but there was this lightning? It wasn't like normal lightning. *There's a pause, followed by a shaky breath.* I think it’s coming from… the School House? Maybe? I don’t know… but Shattere *Her breath hitches* she said… sometimes, the Rifts are opened with lightning like features. They don’t hurt anything, they just… *Her voice wavers as she struggles to catch her breath.* they just take you to another place. Another time, even."

*Her panting is starting to sound like wheezing.* "That’s gotta be what this is. Right? It’s just… a portal. A way out. So maybe… maybe everypony’s okay. Maybe they’re just… somewhere else?"

Broken: "Hey! I'm on my way home, practice was a bit longer then I expected, what with Eazy Breeze crashing into the side of a tree. Do you want me to stop by the school house and check on everypony?"

I don't know fully what the Shattered Doctor's issue is, and I don't think I want to, but I have seen worlds without heroes and I shudder.

We have to take care of each other.

Especially in the darkest times.

Dr. Shattered, what exactly happened in this world? I don't think I understand what Broken Shield is going through though I am aware of the cannibalistic tendencies of some of my Cousin Pinkie's counterparts.

I don't understand what has happened to the other Element bearers.

I assume my Mentor Miss Rarity is a scarred mare who likes inflicting pain almost as much as she does suffering it herself? And refers to herself as "Mommy"?

No… I wish it was just a game of playing firefighter… that would’ve been so much easier to explain to myself. I had just…... left..... Sugar Cube Corner. I was running to the clubhouse to warn the girls about something really important. But when I got there… it was on fire. The whole thing was burning.

I froze. I couldn’t move, couldn’t think. I couldn’t even go get help. It was like my body just… gave up. The only thing that finally snapped me out of it was the sharp pain in my neck...... from... running.... so hard.

Then something weird happened. My Cutiemark started glowing. When it stopped, it wasn’t the same anymore. It still looked like my shield, but it was broken in half. I think the girls..... didn't make it out of the clubhouse that day....

Oh and the camera? It’s old, kinda.... grayish? It probably has a crack across the lens now. Shattered says my rough entrance caused it to fall down. My bad! I kinda got really excited when Dash told me the blog was up, heh heh."

(I was originally going to cut them out and put them on drawn backgrounds, which is why the colt is cut out. But I didn't know what to use for a background, so I didn't cut Shattered or Broken out. Also, since this is probably the third time someone's mistaken the Fragmented AU for one of the other universes with a Broken Shield. This isn't the Ponytown Broken, this one was created specifically for this blog AU, she's in her mid teens and has no physical friends, as she always stays inside the M.U.F.D.I.S when not at Wonderbolts training. I know who this ask was meant for, but this isn't that universe, it's a separate dimension. Also, I used bases for the bodies.)
