The dugong is the only Marine mammal that eats only plants, 50kg of sea Grass every day to be exactly. They are vulnerable to extinction due to hunting, Pollution and getting caught in fishnets. In Okinawa (south-japan) they are nearly gone due to the polluting done by american Military bases. Many okinawan people Protest already since 20 years in the Name of the dugongs. Especially against the Project to build a New heliport Base into the Coral Reef of Henoko.
