Week 16 of Techno Start Up

  Sir BGM is already here, so he gave us the requirement for the final pitching, our team is preparing for it. I'm also nervous since I  will be the one pitching for our team. Last midterm I know I ruined our teams effort because I got mental block. But Im trying my best this time I will do it right!

 So this week our team meet for the preparations of our pitch deck we decide the highlight that we want to show others about our startup. We decided that we will show everyone our working mvp and the future of this app.

 We are doing our best for this subject because it is an opportunity to learn how to startup a  business that is in line of your course.

 I learned a lot of things in this subject. I learned that I have communication skills and thankfully Im enhancing my skill. Then team work is very important in this subject. I would say a million thanks to my groupmates they are the best!

Week 15 of techno.

  Sir BGM is still not around this week but we see to it that we are still in line with our startup project. So we are still doing some revisions in our application because we realize that it needs aome improvements and there are some bugs that need to be fixed in our app.

 This week we decided to finalize the important details in our BMC and application, our team also decided to meet for the upcoming final pitching so that next week if sir is around we have something to present.

 Our team has opinions on who will be the right ones to pitch for our startup project. So I was the one assigned for the pitching. This is exciting but also Im worried what if I blow it up again. But thanks to them we decided that Galvez will also present some of the slides. So that it will not be so hard for me.

 This week I learned that it is good to be ready all the time and you should finalize things so you can see the negative and positive effect of your startup project.

Week 14 of techno.

 This week sir BGM is not around but he left us some important matters of our techno. So we need to work hard for it this week because finals is approaching.

 So this week our team review the interviews and the changes we made for the BMC we also review the cost and the future revenue of our startup project.

 We decided that next week our mvp and update our BMC so that sir BGM will see that we are still working even if his not around.

 Since we are starting our mvp and show it to our prospect users we already finalize the proper flow of our system. I learned that it is so important what are the feature you need to put in your app. It must be important and apply to the needa of the users.

Week 13 of techno.

This week our team validated some question and interview some pet owners. Since we want to update our BMC and develope our mvp.

As a team we decide the design and right way of our system development, we want to ensure that the need and want of our user is in the system.

The BMC is already updated and our team meet to designate our task for next week activity in techno.

This week I learned that BMC it is important to update tge BMC because it will help you in the validations and you can upgrade your system or your product.

Week 12 of techno.

Documentations while we interwiew the pet world shop and some pet owners. We ask them about their business and if they are willing to use the app. The pet shop owners suggested some features because they notice there are existing app for reservation, so they wanted the app to have a feature that gives important informations about the health of pets, but they are willing to use the app.

So we decide to ask the pet owner if they are willing to use the app. Their are 10 pet owners says that they are willing to use it but they dont agree on the reservation fee.

Our team also started to do our high-fi and we are currently making our dummy data for our high-fi.

This week I learned to update the data weekly, it is important since we wanted to catch the vet and pet owners market.

Week 11 of techno.

 This week we start to make our high-fi and updated our BMC for this week's assignment.

 Our team decide to use SQL lite and Java then our API, we will use andriod studio because this will fit to the application we are making.

 We have planned to validate our mvp every week so we can update the changes of our bmc.

 This week we've learned the strategy on how to make the metrics and revenue model.

Week 10 of techno.

 This week we interviewed the vet. Clinics and introduce our MVP to them. We asked them if they are willing to use the app, and how much are they willing to pay for this app. So we come up with our Revenue, CAC and lifetime value.

 We decide the possible amount of the app that the user will pay and it was based on our validations. We also do the calculations for the Revenue, CAC and Lifetime.

  The teams opinion this week is we focus on the vet. that is very willing to use, we found vet. Salcedo in kauswagan who said that he is willing to use it because this will be a help to him.

 I learned this week that the amount to pay is just an hypothesis so we need to validate it more for the value of our product.

Week 9 of techno.

 This week we continue to validate the veterinarians for further informations that we need so we can change our BMC.

 Our team decide that we will introduce our app next week after we finished all the validations. Its another set of validations so we can see if the target customers wanted to use this app or is there anything they wanted to add.

  My team has different opinions on who are the target customers, we choose the vet clinics who said that they wanted to use this app, so next week we will going to met them.

 I learned this week that its important to validate the mvp so that you can add more features or change the mvp according to the validations.

Week 8 of techno.

 This week we did not visited our target customers because we have our midterm exams and and we had our pitching presentation.

 After our pitching our team decided that next week we will do our validation for the mvp, we will let the users see our application and ask some questions.

 Our team chose to do our validation as early as we can so that we could see the failures and features we need to upgrade so the user may enjoy using the app.

 I learned in pitching that it is very important to stay focus, I was driven by my fear thats why I failed to delivered it properly.

Week 7 of Techno Start Up   It's exam week so we did not conduct some interview since sir BGM wanted us to present our latest BMC. We have a meeting about our validations.   This week we decided what role each of us will going to play in our team. Because we are going to present or defend our startup.   We choose our teams player. Galvez as team leader/project manager, Torres & Janlay as our hacker and yours truly as the hustler. We choose this base on our personality and skills.   I learn that you should do what you are capable of. It maybe hard but if others can see your skills and potential then why can't you see those. So be productive and focus on what you are doing!

Week 7 of our techno.

  This week we visited the vet clinic here in cdo. We go to Batinga vet clinic, their vet is busy so we are not given a chance to have some interactions with him, but we left the survey sheet.

  The decision our team made is about our BMC we updated it and able to see the negative and positive about our startup. Also, we decided to conduct more interviews so we can get more validations.

  We choose to conduct more interviews because we see that the BMC change if we validate more. So our options is we should visit all the vet clinics that is available here in cdo.

  The lesson I've learn this week, it is very important to have team meeting from time to time it really help us build our team and it also help us in our start up.

  We interviewed the city vet this week, since the other vet clinics want us to give them a survey paper. We asked the city vet with our usual questions. Then, we found out that the city vet is using a software database wherethey stored their clients info including animal gender, age, and symptoms. This software is being used over the nation and even the government itself. According to the city vet the data is gathered from Barangay-Municipality-Provinces-Regions-National. We considered PhilAsia as one of our related system.   Our team decide what are the features we need to change in our BMC since we need to update it every week. It’s a good thing we conducted that interview because it really helps us.   The team’s opinion is about our BMC we choose to change it since we validated it in the interview.   I learn this week that it is very important to conduct interview and validate it. Also I learned that from time to time the interview, views and opinion will change your BMC.

Week 5 of our Techno. Start up 🤗

    This week we did conduct interview but some of the vet clinics and the city vet want us to send them letter and a survey paper but we already validate the problems since we already conducted some interviews weeks before. So we had the BMC workshop activity in our class. Since we conduct the interview ahead of time, we are able to put the results in our BMC.

   We proposed our BMC last thursday, and Sir BGM accepted our BMC and told us to make our MVP that will due on Midterm but we should still conduct some interview to validate our problem and solution more.

   So we had our meeting that afternoon, and decided to designed our MVP and what are the features. We also decide the function and the algorithm of our app since sir BGM wanted a running startup project.

  The lesson I learned this time,  “With team work and God’s help we can do all things!”, because it’s not easy being rejected in the interviews. Seems like our team’s effort has been reject but still fighting! All for His glory ❤

Week 4 doing our techno.

This week we finalize our ideas and done some revisions in our powerpoint since Sir BGM rejected our proposal. We had our initial meeting with sir BGM on tuesday and it turn out good because finally he approved our proposal.

  We didn't conduct some interviews since we already done it. So our team have decide to get some rest and focus on other team projects.

  But on thursday we research some important matters for the content of our business model canvass which is our task for next's week activity so we did our delegate tasks.

  On friday we have joined the Techno. Series. I learned on that talk the importance of Vision and Mission of your startup, the team building, the core values that you should contain in order to make a successful startup and also the positivity of mind, "Success is not a destination, its a journey".

Week 3 of doing our Techno. Proposal

    This week we present our idea which is the "VetTalk" app. After our presentation sir Bronson ask us to interview some veterinarians and decide if this problem really excisted. So me and my team interviewed 30 people and 43% of them have pets. So this are the questions we asked.

1. Pila ka times nimo gina paadto imong pet or animal?

 - once a year, or depende kong magsakit

2. Kung naay mobile app na maka locate sa mga vet clinic or veterinary willing baka mugamit?

 - 65% ang oo, the rest kai maybe

3. Unsay mga kasagara nga problem na inyong na encounter?

- Bad service

- Dili available ang vet at moment

And this are the questions we asked the vet.

1. Nag try na ba mo mag advertise? Unsa nga platform inyong gigamit?

- Mostly FB page ra

2. Unsay mga services inyong gi offer?

-vaccines, consultation, surgery, ultrasound, hospitalization

3. Naa bamoy mga tambal or accessories nga ginabaligya?

-yes naa mi baligya para ana

4. Pila ka customers inyong ma cater everyday or monthly?

-10 customers per day

5. Kung naay app nga pwede mo mag butang sa inyong mga services or online booking/chatting, willing ba mo makigpartnership ba mo?

- yes, pwede kaayo, pero mas need namo ang kanang maka record sa mga data sa among clients og sched sa ilang mga dogs

6 Naa moy mga regular clients?- naa pero ang uban kai after mahuman ilang session once a year nalng mubalik

7. Naa moy mga dagkong company nga gihandlean?- Asia brewery guard dogs, CGY cafe

   So our team decided to change the problem and the solution because of the interview we conducted. We decided to focus on one market which is the vet but we will add some features for tge user.

   We choose to focus in the vet because of the problem they told us and somehow we come up of the idea on how to make a profit out of it.

  The lesson I learned this week is we need interview more people, listen to their suggestions and focus on the idea of our scope & limitations on our proposed project.

Week 2 of our TECHNO PROPOSAL

   This week we've done our milestone and the planning of process we have to accomplish to make our proposal succesful.

   We also arranged our ideas to prepare it for next week presentation, we have decided to present the best idea we have since we categorized it accordingly.

We also arrange our question for the interview that we will soon to conduct, we need this interview to forsee if our startup proposal is applicable to the users and to the vet clinics.

   This week we really focus on the idea that we need to present and hope that our instructor will approve it or give us more good advice. This will going to be a great startup!

This is my first blog for techno.

It's our 2nd week in school. But this is going to be our 1st week in doing a startup project. My group is doing some brainstorming, and plotting our milestone timeline for our startup. Its really a good thing because we categorize the proposed problems if its going to be a good startup.

Thank God we made the 3 ideas for startup after 2 days of brainstorming.

We also tried to communicate to each other as a team we need to be more comfortable to each other especially in sharing our ideas and thoughts so the brainstorming helps us to know more.

This is going to be more challenging and exciting!
