But for Ahsoka Tano, there was rebirth. _______ Ahsoka Tano died on Quell—or so the Republic believes. Months later, the Bad Batch discovers her alive in a Separatist base, scarred by horrors they can barely comprehend. As they fight to bring her back, Commander Fox takes in a grieving Boba Fett, determined to ease his brother's guilt over Ahsoka's dead by trying to give the boy a chance at redemption before another child is lost to the war.

Meanwhile, Anakin Skywalker spirals, the 501st fractures, and the Republic struggles to move forward under the weight of its grief. But some wounds refuse to heal, and some ghosts won’t stay buried.

Clone wars fic idea

au with Ahsoka struggles with the dark side, not because of Mortis but because she's a fourteen year girl with so much potential and power inside of her. She's a fourteen year girl who's always been told that her anger and her greed could make her become a Sith and it scares her because she doesn't want that to happen.

But she's a fourteen year old girl with emotions and struggles to contain them, leading to anxiety and resentment of what is expected of her, building up and causing her to struggle between letting all that hate consume her or finding a way to get rid of it so she doesn't become "evil".

"Goddess of light reborn" Ahsoka is so fucking boring. Give me an Ahsoka who is GENUINELY dark, who is more obviously struggling with all the negativity she is feeling. Give me an Ahsoka who is following in her master's footsteps and might not even realize it. Give me an Ahsoka who forgives Anakin not because attachments are good actually, but because she's falling herself and can't accept the truth about him anymore than she can accept the truth about herself. Give me an Ahsoka who is giving into her anger and grief and guilt because it's too painful to do anything else. Give me an Ahsoka who turns on everyone in her life because she can't handle anyone's pity or sympathy and she can't lose anyone else. Give me an Ahsoka who is legitimately cruel and apathetic because it's too much effort to care again. Give me an Ahsoka who is getting into petty fights just to lose them so she can feel something again. Give me an Ahsoka whose first response to people asking her for help is always no. Give me an Ahsoka who more obviously hits a rock bottom.

And then give me an Ahsoka who can only be saved by remembering the Jedi. Give me an Ahsoka whose salvation comes in the form of forgiving them and mourning them and remembering their teachings and advice. Give me an Ahsoka who tells herself "there is no emotion, there is peace" and feels BETTER afterwards. Give me an Ahsoka who may never again feel ready to be a Jedi herself, but who refuses to let go of that heritage and turns to it when things get hard.

She's not a goddess, she struggles to turn from the dark every day, she still feels angry sometimes, she still is bowled over by her grief sometimes, but she's a fighter. She's a survivor. She can get back up and dust herself off and try again. She can do better.
