“Alright,” Lu Guang says, voice barely above a whisper as he looks at Yi Mei, “we'll take the job.” When the time photo studio receives a request to alter a fate, Cheng Xiaoshi expects Lu Guang to reject it as he usually does. Except this time, Lu Guang can't quite bring himself to, not when he sees a similar desperation reflected in the client's very demeanor– one that he sees in the mirror every single day.

And im trying something different and doing a breakdown post for my artwork

The first one was from cxs pov, I included one of our original characters Zhen hui, her hair has a lot of white streaks and more desaturated colors because of her illness; a lot of the neon signs are referencing time and longing using floriography, while the sage that sorrounds them means inmortality and wisdom as a reference to lu guang and Yi mei (the other oc in the story) knowing the way to help them to live.

As for Lu Guang’s pov i went with a similar color palletewhile desaturating the colors a bit, i went with more messy and sketchy lines and coloring to try and get across that feeling of "emotional mess" and make him look out of place since he is from the future/another timeline.

I made cxs as like ... a ghost or a memory. I was drawing this one with mon laferte's cover of "la nave del olvido" so i made lu guang listen to it.

As for the title "té para tres" comes from a song by the same name, it talks about death, acceptance of parting and the pain from the people around, originally the 3 people taking the tea are the singer and his parents, in our fic the 3 people sitting at the table are cxs, lg and death and the parallel of yi mei and zhen hui with also death.

In Ever-Changing You

The thing about making a key duplicate, especially from a cheap stall on the side of the road, is that the locksmith will take a random template of uncertain quality for your key. It can be smooth, it can be rusty, it can be sturdy, and it can be glossy. The point is, the key still opens the same door, its physical qualities barely matters, it always changes. And the same goes for Cheng Xiaoshi, in each timeline Lu Guang visits. Somewhat different, yet undeniably Cheng Xiaoshi.

Several people have asked how we will be pairing artists and writers. So, to explain some of the procedure.

We will be randomly assigning artists and writers as a pair or trio. Since there are more artists than writers based on the current numbers of the interest check, we will be asking whether contributors are comfortable being matched with more than one person in the sign-up form. There will also be a role in the discord server to indicate this.

The pairs/groups will then be able to discuss their topic together.
