“I thought we could go clubbing if you’re up for it.”

“Oh uh yeah sure what did you have in mind?” she asked getting back up.

“C’mon, T. The night is still young and I’m bored. Let’s do something.”

“Yeah, I think I’ll pass on that one. You know clubs aren’t my thing.”

[sfxcharlie]

“Hm, I’ve got a taker. Good, I hope you’re fun.”

“There’s nothing wrong with having fun. I’m down to go out.”

[sfxcharlie]

Charlie presses her lips together, not entirely sure what to say. “Okay, that’s fine. Just don’t shut down on me, okay? Be sad, be angry, be numb...just talk to me.”

Harrison sighs, shaking his head slowly “Don’t. Don’t talk about about him.” He says quietly, his voice sad. “I don’t think I can eat, I’ve been eating cupcakes all day. Thanks though.”

“Does Devin Wallace normally talk in the third person?” Charlie asked, giving him a look. “Yeah, whatever. Let’s go have fun. This club only has backlights at night, so everything looks cool as fuck. I brought neon body paint if you want to really have fun.”

“Devin Wallace doesn’t say no to drinks, – I’m in.” Devin pulled the collar of his jacket slightly, licking his lips. “Something tells me that you’ve been getting a lot pity that you don’t need,” he raised a brow.

“That’s really shitty of them, I’m sorry. I don’t know any vets personally, but my friend’s husband grew up on army bases and he gets jumpy around fireworks.”

“It’s really inconsiderate. Especially when my neighbors know I’m a vet.All I want is a little respect.”

“Yeah, everything is good.” She nods, giving him a small smile. “I filmed three videos tonight so I’ll probably edit all day tomorrow. Spend some quality time with Draco. I have nothing else to do.” The blonde says lightly, running a hand through her hair. It’s so nice to have Bas to come home to, especially because she hates being alone. “How about you? Everything okay?”

It was one of the few nights Bas had off from the bar, and instead of going out, he decided to stay in. Flynn had left again, and that was kind of a lot to process, even if they hadn’t gone any further than friends. It still stung though, that he could leave like that again, especially when they were getting to a good place. It gave Bas some closure though, and he knew he could move on now. 

When he hears the knock at his door, Bas sets down the book he was reading, motioning for Charlie to come inside. “Hey yourself. Don’t apologize, we’ve both been busy. Everything okay?”

“I work from home most of the time, so that’s not really an issue for me.” The blonde shrugs. “I just like the music and the environment.” 

Roisin rose a brow, notsure what to say to this woman. She was glad she didn’t ask her if she wasalright like she had wanted to do. “I guess there’s nothing wrong with that aslong as you can still go to work the next day. I’m not much of a drinker butsure.”

“Well I also came to ask if you want to go out later.”

Raven knelt down in front of the girl running her hand over the tattoo slightly “you have it looks great Charlie” she smiled. “So is this really the only reason you came?”

[sfxcharlie]

“It doesn’t surprise me at all, but I know you and how much you love him. The first time around I always thought you two would get married as soon as you were of legal age.” Charlie teases lightly. “Let her be bitter, but she’s missing out on a healthy relationship with you. Being bitter isn’t going to get her anywhere, she needs to accept that you’re with him for good.”

“Yeah, we’re definitely not unhappy about it. Surprised mostly, but not in a bad way. Honestly, it’s so us. Like we got married fast, and now we’re pregnant. Not that I’m complaining.” Mellie shrugs, pushing some hair behind her ear. “Exactly. Like, I’ve forgiven him, that’s what matters. My parents love him, it’s literally just her being bitter. Like I love her for being protective, but I can take care of myself. She needs to let me live my own life, you know?”

“I’m so sorry. He’s an ass.” Charlie murmurs, wishing with all her heart that she knew what to say to him. “Do you want to watch a movie? We can eat a bunch of junk food. I’m not going anywhere, though...even if you don’t want to talk to me.”

“He got shipped out anyways…I thought we were going to stay together. I feel…led on.”

“The next person to ask me what’s wrong is going to get a firm kick in the ass. Why can’t a girl just want to have a fun more than one night a week? I’m going to this club down the road, do you want to come?”

Charlie stays quiet for a minute, a small weight on her chest as she thinks about what he must be feeling. It’s Harrison, this was a big deal for him. The blonde pulls him closer, letting out a sigh. With anyone else she'd tell them to get over it, or offer to kick their ass, but she can't joke with him about it when she knows how badly he's hurting. “I love you.”

“Tommy left…and we broke up.”

Charlie pushed her shorts down so Raven could get a better look at the parts on her hip. “I’ve taken care of it, I think it looks pretty good.”

“Oh really let me see it” she said placing her phone on the counter before walking over to Charlie.

“No, I was just coming to show you how the last one healed up.”

Raven hung up the phone and looked at Charlie quickly hiding her face and wiping the tears “yeah, yeah I’m fine what’s up you here for a tattoo or? Cause I was about to close up” she said acting like nothing was wrong at this point.
