When I was first looking at cages, holytrainers seemed to be THE premium option. As it turns out, they don't live up to the price tag, in my opinion.

I am not that well-endowed; fairly average, honestly. That being the case, I thought I was just measuring in correctly and bought the standard tube to start. The pantyhose method, threading a length of hose through the urethral opening of the cage and using it to pull the penis into the tube, was the only way to actually get the cage on. Lube or lotion were not options because I completely filled the tube, and trapping moisture in there is a recipe for a real bad time. On top of all this, the cage would actually start cutting or otherwise causing abrasive damage to my shaft at the earliest signs of arousal; as well as chafing to blood in the taint region, where the ring sits under and behind the scrotum. My longest wear was just a few days, followed by a week of healing.

Upgrading to the maxi tube has somewhat alleviated these issues. I still need the pantyhose method to put the length of my shaft into the tube, and I still completely fill the tube (not quite as packed as with the standard, though). With my longest stretch with the maxi tube being two weeks (cleaning at least once a week, as recommended), thewearability is much improved. However, after that period, my shaft and taint are still chafed and need a couple days to heal; moisture trapping is still an issue (should clean at least every other day) and relegates removal to only immediately before a shower (oh dang, there's a mighty stank); arousal is less of an issue but repeated arousal works the shaft out of the tube; the whole cage will slowly slip down and off if your balls start sagging from heat; the only comfortable sleeping position I could find was on my side; and since the cage is actually rather bulky, it may or may not fit comfortably while wearing clothing.

Tl;dr, there are some minor tricks to hold it up and in place, like a ribbon or similar around your waist, but the holytrainer is rapidly becoming an obsolete relic. My advice to someone considering one, forget it. Spend that (rather large amount of) money on a 3d printed custom cage. Dicks come in so many shapes and sizes that just making four or five full-enclosure sizes leaves too much to be desired in this price bracket.

Some of the issues I've been experiencing may be just how I put it on, or my lifestyle, and I totally recognize that; but the fit isn't one of them. Pass on HolyTrainer cages, and find something that will specifically fit you.

Pulled the trigger and upgraded from the regular to the maxi-sized holy trainer tube. Difference is amazing and wearability is hugely improved.
