....Mythbusters WELDED A METAL SPIKE into the barrel of a gun to obstruct it, something heaps stronger than a human finger (and sealed the barrel better with the filler metal used to fuse the metal spike into place and prevent the explosive gases from escaping) but even that didn't stop the bullet from doing damage.

I didn’t know about/really think about the “front wheel flat” bit, but now that I think about it....the imbalance between tires (the width of the tire, but also diameter) on the wheels that steer would not be a good thing. Also, never hurts to keep a cheap pair of wheel chocks in the trunk with your flat-changing kit. Walmart, Autozone, etc often sell a set like these for pretty cheap, and they’re a good help in a pinch

You want to put these on the wheel diagonal from the tire you’re changing- so if it’s the rear-left flat, you chock the front-right - one on both sides of that wheel. Anytime you’re lifting one side of the car to change a tire, oil, do other work underneath- it helps to block up the wheels that are on the ground for that added bit of security/peace of mind, to help make sure the car doesn’t roll off the jack (in addition to putting the flat under the car around the side that is lifted with the jack)
