The first bullet hit me from behind, where my mask offered no coverage, and I slowly toppled. The second hit before I could fall on Very Large Beetle, before there could be any pain (that is, before Very Large Beetle could be hurt by me falling on him, it actually hurt a lot for me but like if I said ow that would be weird, y'know?).

rereading extinction 27.4 and seeing the part where Taylor pretty much confirms her power is giving her info on other shard activities thru the bugs broadcast style cause queen just. tells her when Zion is there. with the bugs. and she was doing it during lung, bonesaw, and cherish. how the hell did I not see this before. its like two chapters after weld directly compares Taylor and Jack. also queen what the heck are you doing you should not be getting this attached to your host. you're not fragile one chill.

huh that's not why they said they're reading it. actually they specifically mentioned how much they like Worm, how they're sad they spoiled some of it for themselves, specifically sung wildbow's praises, and mentioned how they are looking forward to reading more of it? am I missing something or

I'm going back on my three chapters a day routine, for my read of Worm. I was following this routine a few months ago, but I ended up slacking. I'm picking it back up, though. Not only will I finish Worm faster, but this routine should help me become more consistent.

I really do have to finish Worm ASAP. I've known about this story for years, and spoiled a bunch of it for myself, but never read the whole thing from start to finish. I would like to complete this read before I spoil even more for myself. It's already bad enough that I spoiled some stuff about Coil for myself during this read, along with other stuff in Worm.

I'm on arc 16 right now. The Monarch Arc. Next up is the Migration arc, which I'm excited for. It goes more into detail about the Travelers.

I wish I knew how many words of Worm I've read so far. I also can't wait to finally be done reading it, so I can say I read Worm.

One thing I dislike about Worm, though, is the territory stuff. I liked it so much better when Taylor was hanging out with the other Undersiders and they had that cozy headquarters of theirs, back before that territory stuff was a thing. The addition of the territories made Taylor spend less time with the Undersiders, and I hated that. Plus, I don't like Sierra or Charlotte. I think they're bland, boring characters. There are other things I dislike about Worm, but I don't want this post to get too long. So, I won't discuss them.

There are more likes I have than dislikes, though. I love how Worm has tons of characters who are clever and use their superpowers in clever ways. For me, Worm is the opposite of the Locke and Key TV show, a series that had the worst case of characters holding the idiot ball for the sake of plot. Plus, Wildbow does an amazing job with making you feel what the character is feeling, in non-cliche ways too. Like when Taylor describes how her fear didn't go up but it didn't go down either, as if someone was aiming a gun at her for a while. I loved that. I wish I knew what chapter that happened in. There's a lot of truth in Worm, things that make me go "Wow, that's so true." I don't remember doing that while reading any other novel. Just with Worm.

Interlude 11a(Bitch's interlude) has this great passage:

As if family somehow made you better than someone else?  The idea nettled Bitch.  Life experience had taught her that it was all too often the opposite.  People were assholes, people were monsters.  The exceptions were all too rare.  Far too many of those same people started a family just because they thought it was what they should do, and then they were assholes and monsters to a captive audience.

I love Worm. And I'm looking forward to reading more of it, simply put.
