i mean this in the meanest way possible, if you as a leftist, in an attempt to 'punish' the democrats, either didn't vote or voted for a third party, go fuck yourself. you chose your own self righteousness over actually doing good.
#absolutely. in the meanest way possible.#if you didn't vote you ARE one of the reasons that scumbag won.#no two ways about it

writing tip: don’t tell us your character’s backstory. don’t tell us what your character is thinking. don’t tell us what your character is doing. don’t tell us anything. the reader should simply look at a blank page and be suddenly overcome with emotion.

Here’s my take on the whole audio books vs. reading:
Oral tradition of storytelling predates written ones by millennias, and honestly, which one you like is just a personal preference.
The actual difference is
when listening, you have no idea how to write characters’ names
when reading, you have no idea how to pronounce characters’ names
hope this helps!

Our Japanese class found it funny that in common terminology "food" isn't very distinguished from specifically "rice" until it was pointed out to us that in English "meal" is "loose roughly ground grain"

Yesterday my little brother told me something very sweet and touching, that when he was a kid and had nightmares about monsters chasing him or whatever he would be able to end the nightmare by finding me in the dream and I would protect him by fighting off the zombies, or carrying him away. This is adorable, and makes me feel like the greatest older sibling in the world, but the hilarious thing is that when I was a kid I had nightmares of needing to save him from zombies and such. so many dreams where he was in trouble and I needed to save him. Like my nightmares began where his ended. Low key I think he mastered the ability to psychically transfer his nightmare to me as a child and I'm kind of annoyed with him.

Also shout-out to the Swedes for just borrowing the French "adieu" into their vocabulary and just spelling it "adjö"

As Halloween approaches, we have been highlighting some of the odd, creepy, or strange cuts from our print shop, especially from the Lewis Winter Collection.
This electrotype (copy of a woodcut) was made by Lewis Winter (his name is in the corner of the print) about 120 years ago and depicts an old nursery rhyme that begins with “This little piggy” but you know the rest. This print shows a hand with a pig representing each part of the nursery rhyme. A version of this print appeared in W. Gannon’s “Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes, Tales and Jingles,” which was published in 1902. Winter seemed to make his own rendition of it.
The pink ink used was a mix of opaque white and rhodamine red rubber base ink. Jared printed 50 copies of this using his 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press.

"My first language has a perfect saying for this, but it doesn't make sense in english :("
Say it anyway! You don't owe them perfect clarity. Be profoundly cryptic, speak in riddles, make them ponder what the fuck you meant by that. The anglos, like porridge, must sometimes be stirred, so they don't burn stuck on the bottom of the pot.
