Can someone make the yarn store simulator of my dreams, please?
I want to run a yarn store. Choose what yarns to stock. Choose what wool to carry. What tools and books I'll sell. Run classes and social fiber time
Get to know the regulars and what their preferences are. Maybe even have romance options like with a supplier or sheep dog trainer
And perhaps have some sort of story line where you're pitted against the big box craft store or you need to run a festival or something
If I had millions of dollars, this is the game I would hire people to make me. Someone please give me millions of dollars. I will be very responsible with the money. I promise

Can you tell what my favorite color is? In all seriousness, I got the nodes to work in the editor as well as getting the theme to work. I'm very happy with the aesthetic of it so far. Does it do anything? Absolutely not, but we love her as she is, not as what she will be.

I got them to work in godot. I forgot to add (at)tool to the top of the file controlling the nodes. Now if only I could figure out how to get my nice theme to work in godot instead of this fugly default theme.
I've decided that instead of going the easy route, the sane route, the route no one would blame me for taking, and downloading someone else's plugin for doing dialogue, I've decided I'm going to make my own plugin in godot and make a dialogue system. This is my day 1 progress. Creating these nodes does nothing. Connecting them also does nothing. I'm just glad they pop up. Now if only I could get them to work within godot itself instead of having to check functionality in debug mode.

Finally finished the light transitions. I can change the times that they happen really easily and I'm so excited to implement this particular feature into the main game. Just need to make a calendar and change up the clock assets to fit the game a little better, but I'll do that when I'm actually implementing it and have a better idea of the game's color scheme.

Hey yall remember that day/night cycle I made yesterday? Yep, I did in fact start over and do something entirely different today. I like the result I got a lot better cause now it's integrated with the time system I coded. And by I coded, I mean I followed a really nice tutorial and made some extra customizations. I plan on working on it some more, but now I can change it so that the cycles change on whatever hour I want, meaning I can have seasonal changes when I implement a seasons system. Yay for future proofing the sun. 🤣
I started working on a game a few days ago that I haven't come up with a name for, but this is me working on the day/night cycle. It took me entire too long to figure out all of the angles considering I took trig and calculus recently. That's most of what I did, but it's looking decent now.
The song is Look to Windward by Sleep Token. It's the only music I have on this computer, so I threw it on here so it wouldn't be several minutes of silence. Go stream their music, the new album is great.

I'm finally finished with this tutorial. 3 days of actively following the tutorial and 13 hours and 40 minutes of render time. I'm ready to move onto the next project!

Here is the final rendered still image. I'm very happy with how my first project in blender came out. Because I'm on a different version of blender than the tutorial maker, there were a few road bumps, but I'm very happy with how this project went. I'm bursting with ideas on how to utilize everything that I made and what I should make next for a game. Now to render the animation, something that is definitely going to take 10+ hours.

I have started learning blender so I can make the 3d models necessary to make this massive game that I've decided I have to do. I got about an hour in and now I'm gonna go lay down cause today was taxing. More progress will be made tomorrow when the world doesn't feel so damn big.

I'm about halfway through the tutorial and I'm having a lot of fun. I think I have an idea for a small game I could make using these assets. I'm hopefully gonna complete the tutorial some time tomorrow.

More progress will not be made today, the desk I ordered came in a week early so I've been setting it up. I went grocery shopping as well so I at least have food for the week, but yeah. Very little progress will be made on the donut if any.

I've made a mood board for the starting area and decided on a general aesthetic. (Un)fortunately, I've figured out that I want this to be a 3d game, which means I have to learn how to 3d model 🫠 I always make things hard for myself. I've also come up with a few names for characters and simple relationships.

Oops no progress :) Jk, I've set up my vault in obsidian to start world building and watched quite a few videos to get ideas on how to create characters. That said, tomorrow I want to actually work on something substantial for practice in godot.

Not much of an update today other than watching a few videos on optimization and game design documents and actually starting said game design document. I think I'm gonna work on world building tomorrow and figuring out what systems the game will need so that I can know what game I'm making next. Hell, I don't even know if I want this game to be 2d or 3d.

First game is finished. It's almost exactly the same as the tutorial, but I had fun and changed a few small details. Onto the next project!
