So Life is Strange: Double Exposure... Pretty much a rinse-repeat of Season 1 with a slightly different cast, a improved Max power, and oh yeah, Max returns because the sycophants who demanded it and couldn't wish for a new protag get there bitchy wish and risk ruining Max and Chloe's relationship at the same time. Confuckinggrats on that.

CONFESSION:
While it did take a minute to adjust, I will say I did enjoy the upgrade in weapons from ME1 to ME2 and ME3 (weapon mods were grand.)
Sure, I did miss the spray and pray style of ME1 in 2 but having ammo matter in a fire fight? Loved it.
Though for weapons in general I was always fond of the AR, specially when the Mattock was introduced (Avenger before that). Never really used the sniper rifles unless it was the Widow if I get it. Never once used any of the shotguns, mainly because I hate close range combat and the pistol was either in use during the awakening or if I ran out of clips for all my other guns. The SMGs in ME2 though... wasn't a fan. Either a 3 burst trash or a 5 burst one (Locust was alright, better aim atleast), with not enough hitting power. Did kinda wish they had added a upgraded SMG along with the other weapons in the Collector Ship.
In short? Assault Rifles all the way.

CONFESSION:
So, as I replay Mass Effect 1 again (OG not Leg) I can't help but to wonder with Mass Effect 4 (yes, I'm one of those people who say the next ME is 4 and NOT 5 mainly because it follows ME3 and NOT MEA, even though it'll be at most 'mentioned').
Mainly about the Council and Humanity. Let's face it, even on paragon the Council never lifted a finger to help humanity. It was always 'it's a human matter', even when we asked for help and were in their good graces.
Liara's words in the teaser few years back got me thinking: Could Humanity, possibly, be rejecting the seat and the Council, given both the treatment and Liara's 'Human Defiance' statement. Because the council never saw or truly treated us as equals at all. They threw us to the wolves in ME3 to save them selves, all because they didn't listen to Shepard. So, IF the main thing with ME4 and MC are against the council and rebelling... I'm honestly kinda all about it and can get behind it.

CONFESSION:
I don't get the "hate" for Liara. I REALLY don't. So what if the dev had a bit of a soft spot for her? Same could be said for Leliana from DA yet I've haven't seen any hate for her. The whole notions these people that are so edgey with Liara truly make me laugh. 'She's forced to be Shepard's canon lover' 'I don't like her because of such and such'
Firstly: You can JUST be friends with her and have NO ISSUE with her being sad or what not. Secondly: She's not gonna be a canon romance at all, so get over yourselves.
While YES, I will admit and agree that in ME3 she was WAY over used in topic and conversations, though it was more so likely to make up for her abscence in ME2 (similar to Leliana and DA2-DAI, shocking I know), at the same time she played a key role in the game. Was she wrong about things, sure but who else would have filled that role of info broker?
It's almost as if all this hate for her truly comes for the fact that these people didn't get their version of Liara they expected. As if she was supposed to be meek and innocent and not grow up essentially. Or just hate her for no real reason or minor little thing. So when I look at theses confessions about Liara and crying foul about something I just shake my head and laugh at the absurdity of people.

CONFESSION:
I'm gonna be real here: As much as I do enjoy 'the one' in terms of romances, there is naturally a part of me that is at times somewhat greedy and wants that second romance option to have a three way relationship. And to be quite frank, I am honestly kinda sick and tired of nearly every RPG or game that has multiple romances BUT you can ONLY PICK ONE. WHY!?! I have two hands!
Think about it: Imagine IF Liara and Ash/Kaidan had worked out long ago. Would it be awkward? Oh for sure. Comical even. But who knows, maybe it could have worked out in some way. What about the fantasy three way of Miranda and Jack? Fireworks for sure, along with lots of destruction of property. Garrus and Tali? Would have been the super wholesome and funny.
Sure, there would be some pairings that wouldn't naturally work, mainly given personality (and some certain fates -cough cough cheating scumbag Jacob cough-), but I think if we were given the option to have that extra romance... It would have been just a bit more fun.
Mod Note: Though mostly Dragon Age related, Mark Darrah does discuss polyships in this and explains why they have not been done yet.

Full Confession under the cut due to length
CONFESSION:
Being completely candid here, I hope the next game after DAD we actually delve more into the world of Thedas and beyond instead of ANOTHER DRAMA INDUCED Conflict.
DAO/A had darkspawn and civil war. Cool cool. DA2 had us deal with Templars and Mage and Qunari, while having a idiot of a friend screw everything over. Fun times. DAI was the conflict of religion and betrayal and frenchy drama during a civil war. Such fun. DAD will be us vs a delusioned old elfy god who is gonna do stupid things and we have to stop and fix his idiocy while dealing with Darkspawn, Political Drama, and Gods.
I know it's a main stay in DA but I REALLY want to explore the hidden mysteries of Thedas and beyond, ala Andromeda style. I don't want to deal with the politics of Thedas for the umpteenth time, or have some mage go coo coo for lyrium dust. I want to know what lies beyond the uncharted lands in the south of Fereldan and the Kocari Wilds. I want to know what was the true reason why Humanity fled from the North of Thedas into the present lands (Personally I think it stems from the true Maker/Golden City/Taint). What about the Scaled Ones and the Wellspring, along with the hairless humans chasing nugs and the flying golden ship? Could there be a East Asian culture who similar to feudal Japan and has samurai and ronins where everyone wields magic yet it's entirely different from Thedan magic? Could there be a colassi race of stone people out there?
To put it simply, Dragon Age has SOOO much potential interms of lore and mystery that sadly isn't exploited on or even fully delved into.

I was never a fan of Anders nor his “plan”. Rather than trust his friend Hawke and listen to their advice, specially when Hawke manages, SHOCKINGLY, to get Orsino and Meredith to the table so to speak to hash things out and maybe work it out, here comes Anders with his whole ‘It Had To Be Done!’ Shpell. Really Anders? Rather than actually talk it all out you opt for the nuclear option where no one want it in the first place? All under the guise of ‘It’s for my fellow mages.’ Really???
CONFESSION:
Honestly, my one big problem with Ander’s’ chantry plan is that he never asked anyone. By that I mean, I’m convinced that any true act of revolution should be collaborative. But the Circle was just as devastated as the Templars, because they weren’t asked if this is the path they wanted the mages to take. What kinda person just makes that choice for their people, all by themself?

So, finally wrapped up the Descent DLC in DAI. Story, lore, worldbuilding wise? I give it a 10/10. Me being the intrigue of complications and mystery guy that I am, I am facinated by the prospect of what it could all mean going forward. Scaled Ones returning or having a kingdom of sorts in the wellspring region? The mentioning of Hairless Children running around chasing nugs? A flying Golden Ship? Curious to say the least. (And yes, I'm very late to the party, better late than never.)
That said, knowing Bioware enough, they won't return to that in DAD, and likely the next game, given how DA games are so wrapped up in conflicts, whether it's with Darkspawn, politics, religion, etc. As much as I do like that, to have it every game and being the focal point does get old, specially for a series that has SO MUCH lore and mystery to be explored and expanded on. Like what could be beyond the Kokari Wilds and the uncharted plains there, or the North of Thedas, where it is said Humanity fled into the south escaping some disaster of sorts. (Personally I theorize it's related to where the Blight and the actual Golden City/Maker originated) Could there be a kingdom influenced in a East Asian style and similar to Feudal Japan with katanas and ronin of the sort yet everyone has magic and it's entirely different from the Thedas mages (More support/augment their swords with spells than offensive spells maybe??) Or perhaps even a race of Golem like figures like Colossi that are all female?
Personally, I would love a Dragon Age game where we play an Explorer of sorts and delves into theses possible things, with some conflicts here and there of course and maybe over the course of their journey or so they happen to stumble upon an Old God and everything goes to the preverbal void.
Aside: If it is called the Dragon Age... why no pet dragons? -Forever disappointed-

MC Keeper
Name: William 'Hawkes' Hunt Age: 24 (Sun and Moon) - 26 (Life and Death) Height: 5' 10" Weight: 200lbs Skin: Caucasian Hair: Auburn, bit of an undercut. Full beard, neatly trimmed Additions: Dragon tattoo sleeves on both arms, Phoenix tattoo on upper back.
Occupation prior: Musician/lead singer (Band Name: Teenage Outlaw) Occupation currently: Keeper/Hunter-Magician Hidden Talent: Impersonation (Can sing any song in perfect tone, male/female, great for karoke wins-much to Thalia's anger at loosing)
Relationship Stats: It's Complicated Thalia, Astrid, Cressida, Davina (oddly...), Gisela (sorta...), Katia, Rachel (OC), Reyna (lotta hate sex...), Seraphina, Marcela.
Stats (Fallout Style) Strength: 7 (Knows how to throw a punch thanks to Thals.) Perception: 9 (Good with guns/picks up on the subtle things on people/surroundings.) Endurance: 9 (Has to have solid stamina to keep up with the waifus... wait...) Charisma: 10 (Suave son of a bitch he be.) Intelligence: 8 (Smart enough to pass most of the classes, and to keep up with most of the things Sera says.) Agility: 7 (Good enough to dodge a punch no and then.) Luck: 7 (Sometimes lucky, sometimes not.)
Story So Far (With changes, of course.) -Four years prior, Hawkes and his band were in a shooting during one of their preformances, leaving two of their band members dead, and the other, Rachel, in a coma. He too was shot (shoulder and rib cage) and spent the next four years in therapy and rehab, trying to get his life back in order and such. Deciding to take a road trip from Oregon to the east coast sounded like a solid, clearing of the head, idea.
That's until Astrid and her Gorgon bestie showed up. (Or rather, Sus Lord Patil.)
-Meets Cressy and Cyrus with Astrid in tow while taking a moment to collect himself. Calls both of them out for being egotisical brats with issues for being rich and such, calls Cyrus small dick, much to everyones surprise, and Cressy approval. The nickname sticks.
-Has the simulation done with both Astrid and Yakov, who finds out Hawkes is human, yet keeps mum about it.
-After shopping with Astrid, they go back to the crash site to pick up an item, a guitar that is treasured by him. Astrid eventually finds out he is the Hawkes from the band Teenage Outlaw, after much gushing, keeps quiet about it having known what happened.
-Get the suite to himself over Yakov.
-More or less gets dragged into doing a karoke night with the suite and friends, thanks to Thalia's urgings. Despite being pressured into singing by Thals, and told that he didn't have to by Astrid, he ends up playing Seventeen Going Under with his guitar in tow. Afterwards, much to people shock and amazement, he left to get some fresh air, in which Astrid let them all know who he was really and what had happened. Feeling like shit, Thals goes off to find him, finding outside the place, smoking a cigarette. He opens about what happened, his relationship with Rachel (inseperable besties, did have a thing for her even though she was more into the ladies), what he did up until now. Both admit they are interested in each other but not truly ready to commit fully, given they both have issues with personal things, but do agree to a openly casual relationship. After getting a bite to eat, they end up in his suite, where the share the bed together. In the morning, Thals goes about going for a morning wake up call, BJ style, only for Astrid to peek in and catch sight of it. -Que awkward morning/beginning of the harem afterward-
-Three weeks before Halloween, and after starting to teach Astrid and Leon how to PROPERLY cook food without burning/setting things on fire/starting a nuclear war in the kitchen, Hawkes is busy cooking dinner when Cressy walks in asking for a favor. The favor? Preform a concert to benifet the local hospital. At first, Hawkes refuses straight up, but eventually agrees on the grounds that 1: He does need the some money. And 2: It could be a good means of therapy, much as Cressy does mention.
Which comes to the slight issue of an actual band. The Band? Yakov, on drums (Heavy Metal Enthusist!). Thalia on Bass and vocals (Always wanted to be in a band!). And Gisela on guitar/violin and vocals (How she got talked into it is a mystery, likely bribery.)
However, when Hawkes asked what she was going to do in terms of ticket sales, vendors, and overhead, to not so much of a surprised, Cressy, in all her experiences with parties, had no clue. So Hawkes had to guide her about the operations of organizing a concert, getting local business's and vendors involved, while at the same time getting insync with his newish band of sorts.
The concert? Crushed it. Attendence? Sold out.
Song List: Run Away To Mars (Opener/tribute to his friend Rachel and former bandmates.) Are You Ready For Me Black Flies Piano Fire Spanish Sahara Heavy Gets Light (Duet with Thalia, much to Astrid and co. in the stands mentioning the Chemistry they have) Stay Familiar (Gisela lead singing) Black Bull When Am I Going To Lose You Seventeen Going Under Sustain/Decay Friday Night Fire Fight (Closer/went shirtless, much to Gisela's disapproval and Thalias approval)
After the concert, needing a moment to breath, Hawke's stepped outside to catch some fresh air. Thals proceeded to join him and attempted to congradulate him with a suggestive reward, which he was about to accept, when he got the phone call. His long time bestie/crush had woken up from her coma.
-Hawkes, along with Thals, go to Oregon to see Rachel. The trip isn't what Hawkes expected. Thals simply being their for morale support, oddly. They reunited, have a heartfelt moment, in which he says his current life is complicated but does plan to talk about (once he has permission to do so, expedited thanks to Sera/hints about the world he is in.)
-By winter break, Hawkes has delved into the Hunter job, working with Sera to find out about the Project, started talking about the realm of magic he is in with Rachel (who makes plans on joining him at the start of the new year there in college), and of course enjoys the lovely road trip with Thals.
-Rachel joins the suite family, bunking with Astrid. Finds outs Hawkes has a bit of a harem thing going on with most of the girls and wants in on it. Admits to maybe be interested in him as well and is willing to see how things go.
-Everything plays out normally in the end: Reyna gets captured, finds out he is a Castellan (much to Astrid's ire at first).
--Day and Night
-Instead of getting attacked on a road trip, Hawkes is in Oregon, on a mission to find a missing supernatural girl along the coast when he catches Tommie spying on him, mostly under the orders of Thals to keep watch on him and help him. Does get attacked by Werewolves though, but does end up finding the missing girl who is under the care of a witch, Morrigan, who apparently knows he's a keeper and offers to help him, semi-free of charge.
-Trip back to NMC is a road trip with Tommie, who is curious about her sisters boyfriend. Needless to say, the interest is there, but nothing happens between them. Well... something does happen: After getting back to NMC, both of them crash in his suite, with Tommie curled up onto of him. Which, of course, Thals walks in and finds her sister topless, laying onto of her future hubby, equally topless. Lets just say Thals rage quitted hard that day, but eventually found out that nothing happened.
-Makes a trip to the Castellan Family Estate, to sign papers and deal with inheritance issues. Ends up with more money to speak of, a dairy of his mothers, and a few other things. Has a bit of an arguement with Granny questioning her involvement with his mother and other things. Left of semi good terms.
-During Thanksgiving, Hawkes has Thalia, Astrid, and Katia over for the family thanksgiving. Finds out his father is dating Petrova, and brings Yakov and Gisela to the dinner. Awkwardness ensues.
-Ends up saving Reyna and her brother, at the cost of some broken ribs and dislocated shoulder. Reyna ends up under house arrest, or rather, suite arrest, staying with the suite gang given her defection and willing cooperation. Ends up bunking with Hawkes, much to Astrid/Sera's disliking. Over the next couple months, they end up having a moment with just Hawkes and Reyna chilling on the couch, having a passionate making out with clothes starting to come off when Astrid, Altair, Sera, Yakov, Gisela, and Thals walk in. You can guess how that goes...
-Having a bit of a mental crisis over his feelings and thoughts about his mother, Hawkes visits Davina during her time of rehabbing/watchings. Ends up bonding with her, despite her empathy powers. Gets more questions and doubts than answers though. Ends with them sharing the night, mostly to show Davina what it really means to feel love.
-Manages to capture Julian, and Dominic, who has sows of doubt expressed into him. And everything fallsout as expected. Having learned about Patils involvement (through Davina after another night of fun) and Celosia (went to the dinner and truth bombed), the politics of NMC are on fire.

I can agree with this person in that regard. Forcing a ‘canon’ ending after literally giving us 3 ending is short sighted and a total dick move by BW on their part. It would be interesting to see how in Control Ending how the new Reapers play out, or in Synthesis how the merge truly affects daily life.
While Destroy does make the “most sense”, it’s not what everyone chose.
CONFESSION:
I mentioned to some friends in a casual tone that if a future Mass Effect game locks us into a "Destroy" background, I don't know if I'd play it. They were shocked; they know that I love Mass Effect. But that's no small retcon; that would just be putting me into someone else's worldstate. Why would I want that?
