My Humble Gift for the Game's 20th Anniversary
A llama lava lamp! It is found under Lighting/Table Lamps for 100$, and casts a cool white light. The animated textures loop smoothly in game. I just couldn't fit the whole cycle in a gif. The llama started its existence as a mesh from TS3's Midnight Hollow set, converted here by Veranka. Also: wew, slave subsets are even more of a pain in the ass on lamps. Enjoy being able to recolour the goo, glass and glow pattern, because I spent a while finicking with them. -> Download at SimFileShare

An edit of the lovely candle set by BuggyBooz /or rather: an edit of this edit by @shastakiss . I've changed light settings to Ikea SP tealights. Edited meshes require IKEA SP!
BB Candid Candles - warm light mesh edits
Download (SFS)
Archive contains my small recolor pack - two brass shades and black & white candles. ❕ You'll need Standard Material Shader Edit by @crispsandkerosene to enable the texture glow effect, as I've used additive maps for candle recolors - and also added it to BB's original worn white candle texture. Be aware that CandK's shader edit clashes with other shader edits.
Original recolors for candid candle set by BuggyBooz (repositoried edit by Shasta) are available here (SFS).
More under the cut:
*This is for The Sims 2
So far Crispsandkerosene has shared two versions of their extended standard material shader edit, one includes bright CAS fix by LD, the other does not. Current versions conflict with Dreadpirate's shader edits - but CandK might share merged version at some point.
Pics above on the left: my white / black recolor without Standard Material shader edit. Pics on the right: shader edit present, additive maps work.
I've added additive maps to edited meshes - BB_CandidCandles_chandelier and BB_CandidCandles_3candlesticks. When you recolor these (candle subset), texture glow effect will be applied to new recolors.

!* recolors in this set rely on additive maps so Extended Standard Material Shader by @crispsandkerosene is required - without it the texture glow effect will not be visible!
🪷 Floating Lotus Set
Contents:
• Recolors and two animated floating add-ons for Far East Table Lamp from Bon Voyage EP, I also included optional light default for the BV lamp.
• Water level OMSP, optional mesh default, three glowing recolors and octagonal reflective overlay for Spaceship Spacious Fountain from University EP
Download: BOX | SFS
Lamps were cloned from Ufo lamp by @jacky93sims - please note it doesn't work like typical light, you need to turn it on / off manually, also - it goes off when you leave the lot or switch recolors. These lamps do not emit any light because I've disabled it - but you can add it back by changing the light settings.
⚠️Reflective overlay was cloned from Murano's millenium floor mirror and requires their millenium shader. You can get it here (file is called millenium-reflectivewallsfloors.zip) or here, on their T$R account
*This is for The Sims 2
More under the cut:
Lamp recolors are merged, and so are fountain recolors /because of shared resources/.
I've included an optional mesh default for Uni fountain that removes round pipe from it .
The light default replaces Far East Lamp /aka "So Bright it Almost Smells" If I remember that horrible name right? / CRES light settings with IKEA SP tealights settings (so IKEA is required). Original has warm light but quite faint, I wanted it to be a little brighter, I also didn't like the lightpattern (obviously ;)
Add-ons will float on pond water surface. You can also place these on SevenBySeven aka Spaceship Spacious Uni EP fountain water using included OMSP.
Animations need to be turned on for these , which is useful - you can avoid synchronized animation on public lots, by letting animation play for a while before turning on another lamp.

Here's another replacement 'cuz it annoyed me that Bisquit Number Cruncher from H&M SP didn't fit those OFB counters. Did a few recolors while at it.
Cash Register [H&M] - smaller default
& recolors
Download: SFS | BOX
Mesh replacement is optional. Recolors feature additive map so display panels will slightly glow in the dark if you have extended shader edit by @crispsandkerosene
Enjoy!

In time travel movies, when the time traveler asks 'What year is this?!?' they're always treated like they're being weird for asking.
When in reality, if you go 'What year is this?!?' people will just say '2024. Crazy huh.' and you go 'Wtf where has my youth gone.'
And if you ask 'And what month??' people won't judge you, they'll just go like 'SEPTEMBER!!! Can you believe it?!?!' and you go 'WHAT?!? Last time I checked we were in May?!?'

Xenomorph Myths
Thinking about getting a xenomorph for a pet but hesitant because of certain myths perpetuated by Hollywood filmakers? Well as a caretaker for a pet xenomorph I’m here to dispel those myths and set the record straight.
Myth #1: Xenomorphs are aggressive and violent
An old myth that unfortunately has become all too common. In truth aggressive xenomorphs are only violent as a result of abusive or violent owners. When properly raised and cared for xenomorphs can be loyal, kind, adorable, and affectionate pets. While movies give them a bad rap, in reality most xenomorphs just want a hug.
Myth # 2: Xenomorphs have metal dissolving acid for blood
I mean, come on! This is so ridiculous! As a xenomorph owner and a person in the medical profession who works with blood gasses, this one truly baffles me! IF this myth was true, how would a xenomorph maintain blood chemistry balance? What about nutrient and gas exchange? How could a xenomorph’s body tissues and internal organs be unaffected by an acidic compound that melts metal? Sheesh!
Myth #3: Xenomorphs don’t get along well with other pets.
Certainly not true. If raised properly a xenomorph will become a loving part of the family with all other pets. Xenomorphs are especially known for having an affinity for kitties.
Myth 4: Xenomorphs drool everywhere
Unfortunately there is some truth to this myth. Xenomorphs are known for being bad droolers. I mean, look at my xenomorph named Twizzler when I first got him.
However this problem can be mitigated with proper training. Never punish your xenomorph for drooling, rather offer rewards for proper spittle management such as hugs, kisses, and treats. I also suggest having a lot of carpet and upholstry cleaner handy.

MINARY (Flying/Normal) & SPELUKAGE (Ghost/Poison)
MINARY (Miner/Canary) is based on the practice of taking live canaries inside coal mines as a way to detect possible acumulations of gas, like carbon monoxide, this pokemon loves to sing and lives on the upper levels of caves, and usually avoid going further down as they are very sensitive to poor air quality
In order to evolve MINARY into SPELEKAGE you will need to have MINARY in your team and go down to a specific cave. This cave is one of the 5 that has a dangerous lake at their lowest level, which can only be accesed using a special suit, In this case its a lake where the water has become toxic, filling the air with poisonous gas (More information here)
You must reach the level before the lake, where the poisonous gas has started to leak into. Once you reach that level a message will pop up saying "The air in here has a weird smell" and if you have MINARY in your team, after walking a few steps it will evolve.
SPELEKAGE (Spelunking/Cage) is based around dead canaries and dead miners, with MINARY's soul still traped in a cage (a rib-cage *badum tss*), manifesting as poisonous gas. It has the signature ability "Gas Leak", and when this pokemon comes out it fills the air with flammable gas, if any pokemon tries to use a fire type move, it will blow back, similar to the move "powder" but it affects all pokemon in battle

A short reminder that Russia is imperialist, has been imperialist for a long time, and there’s no way around that fact.
Sections of the Western left have developed a narrative according to which Russia has been gradually surrounded by NATO and that supposedly “provoked” Putin. It’s increasingly difficult to sustain the notion that Russia is simply “defending itself” after 24 February 2022, but the thing is - the invasion did not come out of the blue. One needs a different narrative to understand what Russia actually is: an aggressive imperialist power alongside other imperialisms.
So, a different narrative:
- 1994: Russia, with US support, acquires Ukrainian nuclear arsenal in exchange for the assurances to respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity
- 1997: Russia acquires the Sevastopol naval base and almost all of the ships (82%, to be exact)… in exchange for the assurances to respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity!
- 2004: Russia meddles in Ukrainian presidential elections, fighting hard to force an undemocratic fraudulent outcome, but fails
- Mid-to-late 2000s: As punishment for Ukraine electing Yushchenko, Russia uses energy blackmail, a form of economic coercion not very different from the IMF and World Bank lending and conditionality
- 2008: NATO refuses to adopt a roadmap towards Ukraine’s membership and in effect postpones the decision indefinitely. Ukraine’s security is in no way guaranteed, while Russia has already demonstrated the propensity to use coercion to force Ukraine to do its bidding
- 2009: Dmitry Medvedev, then president, writes to Yushchenko that “Russia does not pose and cannot pose any kind of threat to Ukraine”, so seeking NATO membership is stupid. Yea, sure
- 2014: Russia, which “does not pose and cannot pose a threat to Ukraine”… annexes Crimea. Really, Dima?? I thought you were for real??
Of course, by annexing Crimea Russia not only makes all the previous statements that it “can never pose a threat to Ukraine” a ridiculous lie, but also breaks the 1994 memorandum and 1997 treaty. “We are the Kremlin. Our word is worth nothing”
- Crimea’s annexation provokes armed separatism in Donbas that Russia supports and coordinates, including direct military command and control, and then completely subordinates Donbas “authorities”, in effect occupying the region
- Ukraine’s still not in NATO, its security is still in no way guaranteed, and the supplies of US weapons only begin in 2018. They are kept to a minimum… out of fear of provoking Russia!
- Nevertheless, on 24 February 2022 Russia launches a full-scale invasion to establish 100% control over all of Ukraine in one way or another. There is literally no military development on the ground that could have provoked the invasion. On Russia’s part, it’s a war of choice in exactly the same way the invasion of Iraq was a war of choice for the US in 2003.
Now, this is only the general outline. One should add Russia’s drowning of Ukraine with spies and agents of influence, money to corrupt Ukrainian politicians and massive acquisition of Ukrainian assets to impose economic and political dependency.
These are well-known facts, but so many on the left refuse to see the story behind them. It’s a story of decades of imperialist aggression, culminating in a war that cost 150,000 lives in 2022 alone. Any discussion of left-wing internationalism should begin with recognizing the reality of what Russia is and what it did.

The Sims 1 Catalog Conversions
Hey guys, it's still a work in progress, but I threw together a Sims 1 conversion spreadsheet. It's still missing a lot at the moment, but I wanted to share it in case others were interested in viewing or contributing. I have very little experience with spreadsheets so it's pretty basic.

Here's a replacement for "It's MYSHUNO!"
BINGO Default
& Recolors
Download (SFS)
polycount: 2025 (console) & 120 (ball)
Note: it will clash with other Bingo machine replacements, BUT it can be used along Bingo 'dice' and stamp marker accessory defaults - these are not included. My recolors obviously are not compatible with original mesh.
Enjoy!
*This is for The Sims 2
I solved this floating plumbob issue. I also edited two animations to lower the jumping ball - but for some reason the first time the ball jumps out of the machine (and also at the ending sequence) - it's too high. I tried to fix it but decided it's not that much of a problem.
This default includes GMDC, CRES, SHPE, TXMTs, texture resources for the machine (512x512, 256x256 spec map, 512x128 glass) and for the 'ball' - 128x128 px. Plus two ANIM resources. Bingo console is compatible with kitchen counter OMSP.
Fun facts: the 'plumbob' thingy is actually three GMDCs: an effect, the animated non-handheld object and handheld plumbob accessory.
Resource names use the name: ToyMyshoeNoh while other use Maishuno, and inside OBJD resource you can find the name Bingo. Most catalogue description translations named this object "MYSHUNO!" or similar, I think it's only translated to "BINGO!" in Italian (?)
If you never used this object: one Sim becomes the caller ("Call" option), while the rest is engaged as players - when directed to "play", Sims will take only the seats facing the Bingo console.
From Wikipedia: bingo is a game of chance in which each player matches the numbers printed in different arrangements on cards. The game host (known as a caller) draws balls at random, marking the selected numbers with tiles. When a player finds that the selected numbers are arranged on their card in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, they call out "Bingo!" to alert all participants to a winning card, which prompts the game host (or an associate assisting the host) to examine the card for verification of the win. Players compete against one another to be the first to have a winning arrangement for the prize or jackpot. After a winner is declared, the players clear their number cards of the tiles and the game host begins a new round of play.
