I know Humans is a dead show with a very lacklustre final few seasons.
I have a lot of thoughts I want to share, I watch the original Swedish(?) production and there was some of the things I wish I brought over but I do think the British version is significantly better.
I do wish they had a default model, in the Swedish show they showed that there was a default model that was basically meant for manual labour that lacked a lot of capacity.
Also when the family were looking for answers in the original Swedish version they go back to the seller and they've got a model that has a life narrative, when they check it out they realise the life narrative is superficial and is near enough just like fanfiction.
The things I like about the British version is that there's a lot more talk about mods. Also Dr Milligan keeping his original D series synth is very interesting and accurate to how people treat rumbas. (I myself have a robot vacuum that I will die for even though it keeps eating my knickers)
Dr Mulligan is overall a very interesting character but his new synthetic feels very accurate to the healthcare assistant but also doesn't think he would have qualified for 24 hours support. I would see it be more accurate having a synth for maybe 12 hours a day and then the synth would go somewhere else, that's a very minor complaint though. I also feel bad for the GPs, imagine having to deal with hundreds of requests from synthetics asking if it's ok to move a bed. (I think the implication that the GPs are also synths)
I also find the addition of the pretend synth subculture very interesting. As someone who's definitely a little bit neurodivergent I never felt so seen, The idea is pretending to be a robot and not having to deal with conversations just doing what you need to do without having to partake in society sounds like a dream to me.
I do think the first season of this show is really amazing, there are some questionable moments but could be a lot worse.

[ID: Edited audio clips from Red Valley. A computer chime plays between each clip:
CLIVE: You're sure you're on it? You're not just playing yourself at pool and listening to power ballads on the jukebox you repaired?
GORDON: Oh, uh, I mean--
CLIVE: You know a Blue Sky unit is a microphone as well as a virtual assistant right?
GORDON: I, uh.
(BLUE SKY STARTUP SOUND)
FRANCESCA: Okay. Okay. Well… well smart people, let's brainstorm.… How are we going to manage this? How are we going to manage this?
REBECCA: I know what to do.
FRANCESCA: Rebec -
(SONIC THE HEDGEHOG RING LOSS SOUND EFFECT)
REBECCA: She was losing the plot anyway. Poor Fran.
(BLUE SKY STARTUP SOUND)
BLUE SKY: Is there anything I can help you with, Gordon?
GORDON: You and me are done professionally. /end ID]

Screaming crying
[ID: edited clips from Red Valley pod. Loud music plays in the background of some clips:
CLIVE: Metal. REBECCA: Metal? CLIVE: I know that song. REBECCA: That's a song? CLIVE: How do I know that song?
WARREN: LET’S ALL GO TO BED. FOR AT DAWN WE RISE DA DA DA DA DA. PAMELA: How did he get on the roof? GORDON: I don't know.
GORDON: That track was called Morior Invictus.
SOPHIA: It means Death Before Defeat. CLIVE: What. What are you talking about?
WARREN: ONCE MORE UNTO THE BREACH! PAMELA: Why's he pointing at us? WARREN: ONCE MORE UNTO THE BREACH! GORDON: Oh God, he's pointing at me.
GORDON: You see the thing is, the music, despite the technical complexity and outwardly aggressive tone is, as I'm sure you can tell, incredibly melodic and uplifting, sentimental in many ways.
WARREN: ONCE MORE UNTO THE BREEEEEACH! GORDON: Dear Friend! WARREN: EAT SHIT! /end ID]

Also, random thought
They're able to hold off death but not fix Clive's leg.
They're able to delay death but yet not improve people's quality of life.
The whole point is to hold off death till someone cures you but that's not happening. The world in RV is a shit show. People are wanting to sleep though the end of the world but yet no one to fix it.
From my own experience of science and medicine, everyone wants short and quick fixes but long term solutions are unobtainable because no one wants to wait 10 to 20 years for results.
"someone else will fix it"

Wtf is the 3rd episode! Clive's heaven sounds like my hell. This had been the first episode I've had to stop and back away from. I honestly feel horrified, fuck this hyper capitalist world.

I am so glad to be involved in the @malevolentbigbang ! It was such a lovely experience and I got to interact with some amazing and creative people such as Quakergoth (A03) (Writer of the AMAZING fic all of the artworks are based off of), and Strumdunkle (Instagram and tumblr) who also created some brilliant art from this fic!
The fic is: You Shall Walk With Me Tomorrow , Everyone should check it out! I have by now read it more times than I can count.
Image ID's, top to bottom:
ID: An image of warm colours- mainly yellow- Arthur stands to the left site of John, exclaiming "John what are you doing?!". John is standing in the middle, right hand raised to feel at the white mask on his face with a look of surprise. He's wearing a yellow robe, much like the faded figures which surround the two. A hand is pointing directly at John.(edited)
ID: The king in yellow, standing in front of a space scene- the king is looking over their shoulder to the scene behind him which is somewhat fused with his back. There is stained glass in the middle, on either side there is two ghost-like statues reaching up. there are two tables scattered with bottles of whine and fruit. A hand is laying across the bottom part of the image, holding a knife covered with their own blood and a pool of blood forming below the arm. The arm has scars and is wearing a baggy yellow sleeve.
ID: A scene containing a fence, overgrown with trees and grass. In the top left is Arthur shoulder-up, smoking with a speech bubble which simply says "... Oh.", this is cut off by smoke from Arthur in the bottom right- standing in front of the fence- exhaling smoke while saying "I suppose it is".
ID: A mainly blue coloured artwork, John is in a robe and is being lifted by the arms- around about the elbow area- by a figure which cant be seen. He is in purple-like water within a mirror frame and is being dragged down by one regular hand and one faded-out hand. A crown sits on top of Johns head- emitting a blue glow. He has almost next to no expression on his face.
ID: Arthur stands in a pool of water, one hand (left hand) faded holding a cane, with his pinky finger being the only section of it which remains in a form- wood. He's smoking a cigarette with the other hand, the smoke littered with eyes and said hand is drenched in blood. The coat he wears is floating on the pool of water in a circle like motion.
ID: A man stands with mostly warm brown colours. His eyes are covered with smoke emitting from the cigarette he is smoking in his right hand- which is covered in blood. He's got a long jacket, striped waistcoat, brown trousers, orange tie, dark brown hat, off-white shirt, brown hair, and brown shoes- along with a cane. His left foot and arm are gray and whispy- the rough form of the limbs remain the same but there is no finer details. (Arthur Design)

Being a tma fan in Britain is wild a statement will start and you'll be like "oh shit that's in my city I've been to that place before!" and then it'll go on to describe something that fills you with a terror you feel all the way to your bones and suddenly you don't wanna go there anymore actually
