Daily Doodle 10 - Elemental Rest
Golden Sun is one of those games that never fails to come back to my mind and fill me with joy. I also felt like leaving this one fully black and white without using the gray marker to focus on the crosshatch shading.

i think a big part of expanding your intellectual curiosity and trying to learn new things about the world is to abandon the shame of not knowing things. don't blame "the US school system" (which US school system????), don't blame your teachers, don't blame society, but embrace the fact that you are going to be learning new things constantly, throughout your life. practice saying "i really need to read about that" or "does anyone know of any good sources to learn about xyz?" or "hold on i gotta go check wikipedia/a world map/the dictionary/the news." every single day, there will be something you don't know already. that something doesn't have to be embarrassing. instead it can be an opportunity to learn something new

I can’t express how important it is to have hobbies in your 20s. To have something you enjoy and look forward to after long work days, tough conversations, and pressures in the real world. You need something to pour into like you’re a child again. The world is expectant, in a rush, focused on outcome. But with a hobby, you can take your time, make it your own, show it to no one, be bad at it, and do it for pure enjoyment without worrying how it will turn out. We desperately need the space to experiment without emphasis on the final product. We need emphasis on the process. Hobbies can teach us how to get back to that space.

Yeah i’m not concerned about ball lightning. Or really any unexplained atmospheric phenomena. Anyway goodnight man
(I put my phone down and fall asleep. Shortly afterwards a sphere of electricity floats into my room through my open window, and explodes)

This website: "It says a lot about a person if they write or make art about dark, horrific things. It says what they're like in real life. Hiding in plain sight."
