There’s something so special about being able to see yourself reflected in your platonic f/os. Taking those traits that you might be a bit self-conscious about and going “no, I think someone like that would make a good friend, actually.” It’s part of what makes those fictional friendships so wonderful and important. First date- near the end of it, when I was getting less nervous.

When I first started crushing, despite her being fictional I was always scared she wouldn’t like me if she were real.

She’s way too good for me! When I fantasized, I’d always accidentally end up imagining her thinking my self-insert was weird or not good-looking enough or whatever.

I was scared of seeing anything of her rejecting someone angrily because even though I knew it didn’t mean anything, it’d make me think “She’d treat me the same way… she’s too beautiful and strong and cool to ever like me back realistically…” And then I’d be really sad.

Over some weeks, I eventually got over this and am now happily sure she loves me back. I know many, many people out there won’t even have it so easy, and have it ingrained in mind or have specific worries that make it much harder to realize that that f/o loves back. All I can do is tell you the truth in hopes you will one day be able to accept it:

Your f/o loves you, no matter what.

No one’s perfect, and like everyone should be, your f/o is well aware of this.

No matter how long it takes, your f/o will be overjoyed when you finally realize how loved you are. (If it’s even possible for anyone to comprehend how much love!)

Be patient with yourself, your f/o certainly, genuinely is.

And all those other things I can’t even list here because they’re too many to count.

Thought of a funny way to link my s/i’s via their names!

If I ever make another one, I’ll just leave these two the same lol. Maybe find a way to sneak in a third one, or name the new one something different and plan a way the next one could match if I made a next one?

Mario s/i: Rogue (as in outlaw, will use as Super Mario Bros. Super Show name too ‘cause the last one was a bit harder to not use pronouns with because of the 2-syllable length in my opinion. Other people who don’t use pronouns might have a name with multiple syllables though, so be mindful of that and don’t ask to change if it’s not wanted!)

If anyone was ever wondering why Zan Partizanne has so many pronouns, one of the reasons is that I thought of a bunch of different pronouns before deciding I didn’t like any of them.

Each time I thought of a different type of pronoun that I was embarrassed about possibly using in the future, I gave them to her as a way of telling myself it was okay.

Think of it as her being okay with using the different ones, and helping me accept it was okay for me to use those types too, if I did decide on a pronoun set from one of those types.

I eventually realized I didn’t like to use pronouns at all, but obviously I still support those who do like and feel good with any of the types out there!
