Imagine your f/o getting genuinely upset or protective on your behalf, a sign of their loyalty to providing you with all of the support and care you want/need. Standing up for you is something they'd do any day for you, as long as you'll let them.

your f/o realizes that you've fallen behind so they stop and they turn, and they hold their arm out for you so you can tuck yourself against their side before they start walking again

If you’re like me, you worry that too many of your daydreams involve your f/os comforting you, and not the other way around.
But think of it this way: there’s a lot going on in your relationship that doesn’t necessarily become a scene or story you think about, just like there’s a lot happening in a work of fiction that doesn’t make it onto the screen or into the book.
A healthy relationship means that each person knows they can rely on each other, and with you and your f/o it’s no different. They know they can count on you to cheer them up or comfort them, and you do, even if it’s not “on screen in your mind.
So don’t feel guilty for taking comfort in what is, for a lot of us, a coping mechanism. And don’t feel guilty if taking on another (fictional) person’s emotions isn’t a big part of that coping mechanism, either.

Imagine your f/o having a hobby or interest that is surprising. Maybe they seem tough and intimidating but they enjoy collecting plushies or painting flowers. Perhaps your silly f/o is secretly into very intense horror movies, or your soft, sweet f/o loves to watch reality tv, the kind where it's filled with drama because they see it as entertaining. Regardless, they'll offer or invite you to explore these interests with them sometime!

Imagine your f/o picking up on small little phrases you say and vice versa. Maybe you two are always around each other, and you both find yourself repeating funny or interesting things that one of you says a lot of the time. Maybe it even becomes a special inside joke, catchphrase, or vocal stim for you two to repeat to one another!

"It's okay," your f/o reassures, holding both your hands at the same time. "It's okay. We'll help each other along the way."

Imagine your F/O putting their arms around you from behind and swaying gently with you while humming. They take your hands, spin you around to face them, and pull you into a kiss.

Imagine your F/O noticing that you’re upset.
They drape their arms around you from behind, and kiss all over your ears and the back of your neck.
They hold you tight and promise you whatever is wrong they want to be there for you, and make it alright.

If you're someone who tends to struggle with chores, imagine your f/o helping you with them. Imagine you both folding bed sheets and washing the dishes together. If you do chores with music in the background, imagine them humming to the songs and you joining them. Do they distract you sometimes while you work? Like putting their arms around your waist from behind you? Do they steal a kiss as well? Or is it you who does that to them? Do you both accidentally distract each other cuz you both can't stop stealing glances?
Imagine them giving you motivation and support throughout the chores, and when you take a break, they praise you. Whether you rush through it; take it slowly; or just do part of it, you bet they will be proud of you no matter what and want to help you as well.

This is your sign to headcanon a BUNCH of little things your f/o likes about the world — their favorite color, their order at a coffee shop, what type of pet they’d like best, where their favorite place to visit in your city/town would be, a plant or flower that makes them happy, you get the point,
Now every time you see that thing out there in the world, you get a reminder of your f/o and the life you have together! If you’re decorating, you can look for stuff with their favorite color or that reminds you of another one of their favorite things. If their order at a café or a restaurant isn’t what you’d usually get, you can try it out with them. You’ll have so many more little reasons to think about them and feel like they’re by your side.

In the times where you're struggling and frustrated but feel like nobody notices, your f/o does. They recognize ane validate your feelings, they know how tired you are and will do their best to support you. You aren't "burdening" your f/o by being vulnerable, they'd love nothing more than to make you feel better about yourself and uplift you when you need it. They see how much you're trying, and they're so incredibly proud, and they always will be.
