“Am I done with homework yet?” Jiro threw down his pen and leaned on the desk, stretching his arms out as he spoke over to you.

“Ahaha, do you have to ask me that every time you get a bit done?” When you looked at his desk though, he was indeed done. This could only mean one thing; he wanted cuddles but was too shy to directly ask for it, “You are! Come here then!” You opened your arms and beckoned him over from where you were relaxing on his bed, “I’ll reward your hard work with s-”

Without hesitation, Jiro scrambled to stand up, almost falling over in the process, flopping down on the bed, “Here!” He slumped back into your chest and tilted his head to look at you to speak softly, “Can it be cuddle time?”

“Yeah but-!” You tried to get him to shift a bit you but he wasn’t budging. In fact, he was wiggling harder into you to try and get comfortable, only making access to his hair impossible, “C’mon, Jiro! I wanna play with your hair!”

His movements stopped immediately, “You do?!” He turned around to lie face down on you and nudged your arms excitedly, “Go on!” It was going to be hard to get Jiro to relax when he was so restless at the mention of headpats.

Sometimes when you did this he would hunch over and get all embarrassed, puffing out his cheeks and crossing his arms. And while he would even get embarrassed at doing that too, he knew how much you loved seeing the cuter side to Jiro because of how many kisses it got him. But today he calmly leaned into your touch and hummed to himself in delight at the attention.

He let out a happy hum once you finally patted his head, “Yaay…” nuzzling into your shoulder with more happy noises, “hehe…”

You had been staying inside most of the day so his hat hair wasn’t as noticeable as usual, but you still ran your fingers through it, trying to fluff out some of the flatter parts. When you were done doing that, you rested your hand on his cheek, which was noticeably warmer than before. After being still for a second, Jiro bumped your hand with his cheek and mumbled, “More pats.”

How could you say no to that?

“Of course!” You gently ran your fingers through his hair again, taking care to not pull on any tangles or knots, “Is this okay?”

“Mm hmm,” He was starting to get sleep already, from the sound of his voice, “I wanna just stay here.”

“Agreed,” with a kiss to the top of his head, you continued the action, which was proving to be almost therapeutic to Jiro, “Don’t fall asleep though.”

“Can’t promise that.”
