Beyond: back this Monday!

Hello everyone!

First off I would like to offer an apology for the long silence. The last few months have been a mess between a broken PC, a repair shop that charged me for holding the PC hostage for a month and doing nothing at all, then going to an actually good repair shop that solved the issue in days, catching up with all the things that were too stressful to do on my laptop, then summer vacation with family, doggo getting ill while he was away with us, returning, art block, and a myriad of of other things.

PC is now fixed, doggo is recovering and life isn’t getting any less hectic so I’ll have to make do with how things are now. Beyond has been on hold for too long now, and I’ve managed to build up a buffer of a few pages amidst the chaos. If I don’t resume posting, I know I will just keep procrastinating under the excuse that I’d like the buffer to be bigger still. So, the comic pages will be returning next monday, October 10th!

The 2022 Gender Census is now open!

The ninth annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2022.

It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

Hey all! Just a heads up that there won’t be an update tonight and possibly not for the next few weeks. I am doing fine, but my GPU crossed the rainbow bridge last night and I don’t have a set date for my pc to come back from repairs.
