so the thing is . the thing just is. it’s the stars. they’ve never been at the forefront of any national conversation. their names are never pronounced right. nobody cares about their star players. even when they’re second in the league they’re talked about like some underdogs who barely squeaked into a wildcard spot. and like. it’s always been like this. as long as i can remember. but that hasn’t stopped them from playing their hearts out and loving each other and their city so much and proving everyone fucking wrong. that’s all they ever do. prove everyone wrong. and nobody believes in them right now but nobody ever believes in them so they need to just. keep proving people wrong.
