Having an Anuradha Nakshatra as Scorpio rising!!! Voila, the detective work, the urge to do behind-the-scenes jobs, there is a theme of hiding from everywhere, to understand the ghosts and paranormal, the discipline and devotion.
The Darakaraka of this nakshatra could be saturn or Sun or Even Jupiter for the female..

I don’t know if this might be controversial, but people who think their tropical chart magically changes in the sidereal system are kinda goofy. "Omg I’m a Virgo Moon in tropical, but my Leo Moon in sidereal is so much more relatable" okay so here’s the deal: Sidereal is an ancient form of astrology. Ancient astrology describes zodiac signs differently than how we understand them today. For example: Leo in ancient astrology is described using traits that align with modern Virgo.
To sum it up: Sidereal Leo ā‰ˆ Tropical Virgo. Same archetype, different language.

I wish you can explore on more erotic and sexual side of the nakshatras. Their fantasies and fetishes. My sun is in rahu shatabisha, moon in ketu mula, and rising is in mercury ashlesha. And the calculator you asked us to use, changes my mars from krittika to rohini. I actually want to have physical beauty of venus and channel their creativity, love and desire as a woman. Maybe if you are interested in mantra and beej you can recommend me something 🄺. I am just very confused, because I don't know how to channel my sexual and sensual energy. Thank you so much šŸŽ€šŸ’‹
Ok few things here.
1. I answer questions useful for the general public. I don’t answer questions where people give me their exact placements and basically say ā€œread my chart for freeā€. I do this for a living, if you want to book a reading with me to get details about your life, anytime. I lower the prices out of compassion for people all the time, even though my personal situation has been dire in this department for years and I probably shouldn’t, because I care so much about what I do, I chose it even over physical comfort.
2. I swear I can smell when someone comes to my ask box from a Claire Nakti video. It’s like a whole internet wave. I love what she does, I think it’s so useful and I occasionally quote her myself, I benefitted so much from her quoting certain resources and made many of my own conclusions as a result. But she has a bunch of worshippers that blindly repeat what she says with no comprehension and just want to copy everything she says or does. Mantras are very individual. You need to have the internal discipline, intention and conviction and spiritual strength to really practice them, often they intuitively come to you at the right time. Suddenly you have a bunch of women screaming ā€œI’ll do this beej mantra to be beautiful and hypnotic to all the men around meā€ because it’s something Claire mentioned in her videos. This is why it’s so hard to be an astrologer and a spiritual teacher. We each have our own personality and it shines through every time. Claire has particular interests, they are strongly romantic and focus on that aspect of women a lot (not everywhere but frequently in her videos), because this is what interests her. Her personal focus shines through, and people copy her. Ironically enough, even Claire herself warned about this, in one of her older videos, where she mentioned the process of individuating. I’m good at reading between the lines and applying her observed patterns to real life, I also make a lot of my own observations, so I can get a lot of objective wisdom out of it, but there are so many women out there now that think being an astrologer means being just like her, and so they miss out on the depth of what they could learn.
Being an astrologer is a bit like participating in a form of priesthood. Having this human incarnation, you can never fully get rid of your own personal perspective, and neither should you try to. But you have to be mature enough to be fully connected to something infinitely bigger than yourself, and while that doesn’t remove the ego, it drowns it in the cosmic infinity. So when you discuss something universal about placements and you want it to be as close to objective as possible, you need to at least try to look at something beyond yourself. And talking about something universal is so hard, when it expresses itself so uniquely in each individual.
3. This brings me to my final point, I don’t particularly focus on one subject (like sensuality for you), because it’s not a main focus in everyone’s life. Yes, intimacy is a part of most people’s lives, but so many just include it in their routine and move on to something else that they are more passionate about. The other problem with this is, sex is a physical expression of one’s individual life force and all their psychological complexities. In many ways, you can use sexual expression to simplify and deduct certain things but there is always something deeper going on, and sexuality is a symptom of that, because it’s a raw expression of one’s fundamental life energy. How one chooses to interact with this energy and express themselves is very individual, and not all choose sex as a main avenue. Certain Nakshatras do (which I discussed recently in the context of Krittika and Rohini), but many others don’t.
You should focus on expressing and getting to know yourself, not emulating something that you thought looked good on the outside. Even if you want to express your own sensuality, it should come from within, and it’s a process of self discovery.

she does not get the credit she deserves for being such a creative trailblazer for black youth in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s.
she is such a gifted dancer y’all and the way she works the camera is chefs kiss. i recommend you guys watch her video ā€œstill a thrillā€ where she’s just doing her thang and spotlighting ā€œwaackingā€ with tyrone procter. a dance style created by the gays in the 1970s during the disco era.

Anuradha pt. 2 - The Black Widow šŸ•·ļø
Tumblr media
Ref Gif- film Tomie, 1999
Women with strong Anuradha placements—particularly those with the Ascendant, Sun, Moon, Mercury, or Mars in this nakshatra—often carry a dark, magnetic presence that draws both fascination and fear from the collective. Even when they have no public ties to the occult or transgressive behavior, they are frequently projected onto as priestesses, witches, or femme fatales, embodying what society represses: powerful feminine energy that cannot be controlled.
Even when these women do not claim occult identities themselves, they become symbols, projections, or spokespeople for the public’s collective shadow. They provoke whispers of witchcraft, seduction, betrayal, and karmic revenge—not because they act maliciously, but because they mirror the deep, repressed fears and fascinations of the culture around them.
Anuradha sun native, Aubrey Plaza plays one of the leads in The Little Hours, a dark comedy about nuns misbehaving. Her character, seemingly pious, secretly leads a coven of witches and plots to sacrifice an innocent man.
Patti Smith, Anuradha sun shared a deep soul-bond with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe (as chronicled in her memoir Just Kids),who introduced her to occultism and aspects of Satanism through their partnership. Their relationship was marked by Anuradha’s key themes: devotion, artistic union, spiritual experimentation, and loss.
A prime example is Erykah Badu, Anuradha rising, exemplifies many of the archetypal traits tied to this nakshatra—particularly the themes of sexual magnetism, occult knowledge, and karmic devotion. Her life is deeply rooted in spirituality and mysticism: from her involvement in crystal work to launching an incense line inspired by the scent of her own womb—a literal manifestation of the Anuradha womb energy. This isn't just branding; it’s symbolic of how Anuradha women carry a powerful and transfixing essence in their sacral space.
Tumblr media
Despite having multiple partners and children by different men, Badu maintains deep, ongoing friendships with her former lovers. There is no public animosity, no scandalous separations—only continued bonds that display respect for her and the effect she's had on her partner's spiritual growth. This highlights a defining quality of Anuradha: the lovers never really leave. This archetype isn’t limited to Badu. Jennifer Lopez (Anuradha moon conjunct mars) often returning to Ben Affleck over the decades, lives out a similar Anuradha dynamic.
Anuradha women are often associated with the Black Widow archetype—not because they are inherently dangerous, but because of how their partners (especially men) appear drained, transformed, or even destroyed in their presence. Their energetic imprint is deep and binding. Relationships with them are rarely casual; they come with karmic weight, spiritual contracts, and initiatory consequences.
Tumblr media
A not so positive example of this archetype can be revealed through Natasha Romanoff, played by Anuradha ascendant and sun native Scarlett Johansson, who is actually called "Black Widow". She represents the archetype of an Anuradha woman whose enemies often fall in love with her or underestimate her, only to be undone. This is classic Anuradha: devotion that turns into destruction.
Debbie Jellinsky, from Addams Family Values, played by Joan Cusack (speculative Anuradha/Jyestha rising native),may be another classic example of the Anuradha woman. Debbie is a cheerful, hyperfeminine woman who kills all her husbands, yet frames it all with charm, glamour, and tragic justification. Her devotion is conditional—love me, or die—mirroring Anuradha’s shadow side: if the bond fails, obliteration follows
Tumblr media
This mythos of the Black Widow comes to life in the character of Tomie, created by Junji Ito, who has an Anuradha Moon. Tomie is a supernatural girl who comes back to life after the man she was devoted to kills her, and she returns in hopes to remain his girlfriend. Throughout the manga, Tomie becomes a force who drives men to obsession, jealousy, and violence—often murdered and dismembered, only to regenerate and multiply. Despite the horror she inspires, she is irresistible, drawing people back again and again.
Tomie represents the darker shadow of the Anuradha woman—the ā€œperfect girlā€ archetype that men project their desires, wounds, and rage onto, only to destroy her out of their inability to possess her fully. Yet she always returns—just like the karmic thread of Anuradha devotion. Energetically, emotionally, and spiritually, the bond extends beyond the physical. Anuradha doesn’t date—they bind. Tomie represents this nakshatra's obsessive cycle of love, death, rebirth, and repetition playing out as if it's an ancestral, cosmic punishment to Radha for her devotion to Krishna.
Tumblr media
@opalblade has observed that the Anuradha women may be linked to Radha who was known as the chief consort and recognized for her devotion and loyalty. Ā Krishna was said to be satiated only through devotional and loving servitude, personified by Radha, and could be seen as the woman who was "picked" out of the rest of the population for her unwavering loyalty.
Tumblr media
We see this in two Anuradha suns, Hailey Bieber and Marina Abramović as well—women who are not necessarily traditional women, yet are consistently surrounded by obsessive attention, reverence, or criticism aimed more at their partners than themselves who represent Krishna-like qualities, such as artist or creators themselves since Krishna's birth nakshatra is in Rohini. Marina Abramović, is perhaps one of the most iconic examples. Most of her impactful work as an artist was done in sacred union with a former lover, Ulay, with whom she collaborated on performances that explored duality, trust, endurance, and loyalty. Yet, her ideas and contributions to their art was overshadowed by him. Their final piece together involved a symbolic parting: the two started walking from opposite ends of the Great Wall of China, only to meet in the middle, and part forever. She later revealed that her partner had cheated on her on the journey, adding a tragic karmic layer to what was intended as a final act of union.
Hailey Bieber, an Anuradha Sun, has become a lightning rod for obsessive public projection and spiritual speculation. Despite never publicly aligning herself with occult or esoteric practices, she has been repeatedly accused of casting love spells or curses on Justin Bieber, and even of being a longtime handler or stalker, allegedly orchestrating their relationship from a young age.
Tumblr media
These narratives have ignited an explosion of online tarot readings, psychic analyses, and parasocial investigations, not only aimed at uncovering Hailey’s supposed intentions, but extending into the lives of those orbiting her and her husband. She has become, unwillingly or not, a public conduit for the collective’s fixation on taboo feminine power—especially the archetype of the ā€œdark feminineā€ who uses hidden or mystical influence to secure devotion and control. These allegation not only come from jealousy, but also due to Justin Beiber's behavior towards her, revealing a dark, unattractive, drained side that is shown rarely to the other women around him yet only towards Hailey. I want to express again in detail this phenomenon more where not only the Anuradha woman becomes entangled and has a lasting bond with her ā€œKrishnaā€- like partner, but even when the man appears drained, decayed, the woman remains vibrant, strong, unaffected—almost untouchable yet loyal to the partner. Even if it appears the union is destructive/fatal, there is still the inability to release the bond. And these bonds are often lifetimes long. Sharing intimacy with an Anuradha native can result in an addiction or energetic entrapment, especially for the partner. It's not simply romance—it’s devotion, obsession, and karmic tethering. Anuradha’s sexual energy isn't casual; it acts as a spiritual glue, representing the web Anuradha wraps it's partner's in. In this web, we get to see what that entrapping devotion does to the Krishna-like partner that can result in a spiritual, ego-death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want to mention first that this also ties into a point @vennavenus made about Solar women, especially in Uttara Phalguni, and how their light illuminates the truth of their partners. They reveal a man’s true capacity for partnership—not through accusation, but simply by being radiant in contrast. If the man withers in the light, it reveals what he carries in shadow.
It’s important to note that Mitra, the deity of Anuradha, though tied to Scorpio’s water, is a Sun god—governing loyalty, spiritual contracts, and divine friendships. The Anuradha woman, then, is not merely a siren—she is the eternal mirror, reflecting her partner's true nature through unwavering devotion. Along with the examples I mentioned where this dynamic is revealed through the various Anuradha women above, it is chillingly embodied in Shelley Duvall, who has an Anuradha Moon, in her iconic role as Wendy Torrance in The Shining. Throughout the film, she becomes the emotional and spiritual mirror to Jack Nicholson’s unraveling character, Jack Torrance who is an author. Wendy is not simply a passive victim—she is a vessel of loyalty and resilience, enduring terror and abuse without ever fully breaking. Her presence reflects Jack’s descent into madness, not by challenging it directly, but by holding space with a painful and maternal stillness.
Her horror is not just fear—it is cosmic witnessing. She represents the feminine face of Mitra (Radha): bound by loyalty, holding the contract of family and care even as it spirals into violence. Her wide-eyed terror and fragility do not make her weak; they make her a vessel for Anuradha’s sacred role—mirroring the truth of what has been hidden.
Tumblr media
In this way, Wendy Torrance becomes the embodiment of the Anuradha Black Widow archetype—not in the sensational sense of seduction and death, but in the deeper, esoteric tradition of the devotional feminine who holds space for transformation through decay. Her unwavering loyalty and presence act as a kind of spiritual ouroboros: a cyclical ritual in which the man must confront his own reflection, his madness, his ego-death, in order to complete the karmic loop.
Wendy is not there to destroy Jack—she is there to initiate him. But like many Anuradha figures, her love and loyalty become catalysts for ego-collapse, especially in men who are already fragile or fractured. She represents the silent keeper of cosmic law, the one who maintains her vow even as the contract rots, until karmic justice enacts itself. Her resilience is not passive—it is sacred, Saturnian, and binding. The Anuradha woman does not need to raise a weapon to be dangerous—her very presence demands transformation. And in The Shining, it is Wendy’s survival, not Jack’s violence, that carries the deeper spiritual victory.

Why does Jupiter rule Pisces?
I had always wondered why Guru(Jupiter) rule 12th zodiac Pisces. 12th house is called as Dushtaana(Bad house) as per Vedic Astrology.
Tumblr media
I was listening to the pravachan(preaching) of Shri Sadguru shridhara swami. He was explaining the traits of real Guru. He was explaining that real Guru is not the one who gives materialistic prosperity and makes you think materialism is the true essence in this world, instead, real Guru gives prosperity to the devotee but he enlightens his devotee that materialistic prosperity is an illusion. He gave the example of Shri Shankaracharya who preached "Brahma satya Jaganmithya" (Only brahman is real and everything else is an illusion)
When I heard the above words, I remembered something about Guru(Jupiter) in Jyotish. Planet Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Pisces. Sagittarius represents luck, guidance and prosperity. Whereas Pisces rules Moksha, losing something and ultimate freedom. We don't like to lose something, so we consider 12th house as dushtana(bad house) in vedic astrology.
In short, Planet Jupiter is the one which gives prosperity (Sagittarius traits) but also the one which takes away materialistic attachment from you(Pisces).
I think it's the biggest difference between Venus and Jupiter. Venus gives you all kinds of luxury but makes you bound to this earthly plane. But, the auspicious Jupiter does give you prosperity (9th house) but also makes you detached from this illusion and takes you towards ultimate freedom of Moksha(12th house).

Vedic astrology observations
Part 11
Or rather: information that I think people forget or do not consider
Enjoy šŸ’•
1. Your Rahu and Ketu axis (signs, nakshatras, houses) is extremely important. To understand and live your life story, you have to look into those placements. Any planet associated with them (conjunct one of them) automatically becomes a crucial part of a person's life story and the themes represented by those planets or planet are like lessons you keep learning or themes you keep bumping into along the journey. There is a highly mythological element to Rahu and Ketu as they are always connected and they always tell a story.
2. Your Ascendant is the filter that everything in your chart goes through while expressing itself. I understood the true nature of the ascendant while revisiting the themes of my ascendant nakshatra and thinking that it was so like me, so me, and yet, it was not really me on the inside, it did not fully feel like me, I just lived it. Ascendant is like the thing you just have to do and go through but even though it's so present and so important, diving too deep into and overthinking those characteristics of yours may not be so healthy. Ascendant is basically the themes of Aries (natural ruling sign of the 1st house) and those include the struggles and uncomfortable sensations that a person has while coming into the body. You may not feel like your Ascendant or connect to it like you connect to your moon but you still live out its themes in the grand scheme of things. And it's important to treat it as what it is_ uniquely important but different from planetary influences. In a way, it's also "mythological" for a person, in a sense that its themes are obvious to everyone (sometimes it can be so straightforward and "in your face" that it might be dismissed) and directly associated with a native's life but it's first and foremost those things, not a deeply buried mystery in a person to be uncovered.
(In short: accept and love your ascendant, embrace it but don't overthink it and do not try to fix it or change it. It is what it is and it does not have to be deeply personal. You cannot really escape it. )
3. Malefics are not always malefics (except maybe the nodes). Saturn, for example, is traditionally malefic for every chart but that does not mean that it gives every single person a really hard time. Unlike other traditional malefics (Mars and Sun) Saturn is directly associated with "hard times", difficulties and obstacles in general. Malefics and Benefics can be personal, and those depend on the ascendant. If a planet rules houses that are considered "negative", even if it's a traditional benefic, then it becomes malefic. The same applies when traditional malefics rule "positive" houses. This is not the exact rule, as sometimes a planet can rule both a "good" and a "bad" house. You can search for benefics and malefics for every ascendant online, it's easily found.
Having Saturn as a benefic is an enormous advantage. Saturn is the real deal. Whatever it gives, you can rely on it. You might struggle with its lessons but once you're done, the reward is true and truly valuable. I've found that, for me personally (Saturn is a benefic for me), Saturn antardashas were never as horrible as people described, and the areas of my life that were represented by the houses that Saturn was transiting in my chart were actually going as I wanted, in many ways. Because I'm also familiar with Saturn's energies (I have Sun conjunct Saturn on the same degree), I have understood its patterns of working in my life from early on. Humility is natural for me, but that does not mean that I don't struggle with it. The good thing about a benefic Saturn is that struggle itself is not a struggle, I'm accustomed to Saturnian energies and as many people have said, including me, Saturn rewards as solidly as it punishes. Saturn is great, I like Saturn.
4. D9 (navamsa) signs work as a layer rather than an alternate chart. The signs are like understones to the D1 and color the native's personality in a truly meaningful way. It's subtle, but it is, in fact, important. I think any individual resonates to people who share one or more D9 big three (Sun, Moon, Ascendant) with them. True for me. I think that even if they're not exactly compatible based on D1, when D9 big three signs (at least one) are the same, there's a natural understanding on a subtle but meaningful level. And you know how you should technically resonate to multiple based on D1 but only a fraction of them feel truly resonant to you for some reason? They likely share D9 big three signs with you.
I'd like to quickly state here, for the hundredth time, that there are no nakshatras in D9 or any divisional chart for that matter. Online calculations might show them but they also show outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto_ only used in tropical) in nakshatras too, so...
I have multiple posts about this and you're very welcome to read them but I can't deal with more insufficient arguments like "it's debated", "some people say it's really accurate". Like, think for your yourselves, and maybe after reading my posts about that you can come to your conclusion about if they make sense or not.
Some observations about D9 big three (any) in some signs:
Aries: action-oriented and unintentionally blunt, sometimes don't realize how they act, self-reflection is a bit of a struggle but they still do it, can act without thinking much.
Gemini: cerebral and often in their head, love variety, trust their mind more than their intuition or feelings or gut, can analyze too much, versatile, flexible, naturally social.
Cancer: unbelievably sensitive and can be passive-agressive, understanding but self-focused, can be aviodant, not really direct, comfort means a lot to them, secretive but their small actions betray them, may need time to process things, kind-of self involved but often unaware of it.
Leo: pretty direct, love to properly indulge in everything they do, don't like lukewarm or "half here half there" people, basically put their heart into everything, can be too fixed or rigid in their views, value loyalty.
Virgo: have a pure and "clean" aura, simple (in a good way), often express themselves in a clear, precise and clinical way (no matter how they really feel), often they are minimalists, can freeze when they're anxious.
Libra: hate agression, others may accuse them of not having a spine, truly undersranding but also impartial.
Scorpio: no matter how it looks_ they are serious and intense, understand how manipulation works, may feel like outcasts, a tad bit (or not so slightly) vengeful, very protective of their energy.
Pisces: sensitive and flexible, can understand almost anyone and anything, humble yet detached, have something ethereal about their aura, have a broad viewpoint, may have something about them that makes them look like they're "lost".
Do not have substantial info to share about Taurus, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius navamsas in big three, yet.
5. The strength or influence of any planet in any chart should also be observed from the placement of the planet itself, not from just activations in the nakshatras and signs ruled by them. Of course, those have their influence too, but if we're talking about tge influence from two opposite planets, for example, Sun and Saturn, and a native happens to have a nakshatra ruled by one of them (and does not have a nakshatra ruled by the other) in big three, you should still see if that other planets falls in the 1st or the 2nd house or is conjunct any of the big three (maybe even chart ruler, atmakaraka or Ketu). Chances are that person might feel influenced by that other planet, especially if that first planet is not in good dignity. All planets each manifest their influence differently when they're present as nakshatra rulers from the influence of their own placements.
6. The destiny of Rahu in signs, simplified:
Aries: to act
Taurus: to enjoy
Gemini: to communicate/get across
Cancer: to be safe
Leo: to express
Virgo: to cleanse/purify
Libra: to balance
Scorpio: to transform
Sagittarius: to explore
Capricorn: to build
Aquarius: to influence
Pisces: to transcend
The base/foundation of Ketu in signs, simplified:
Aries: identity
Taurus: resources
Gemini: intelligence/intellect
Cancer: safety
Leo: self-posession
Virgo: clarity
Libra: balance/harmony
Scorpio: depth
Sagittarius: truth
Capricorn: status
Aquarius: influence
Pisces: wisdom
Just a reminder: astrology is best learned from observing and double/triple/quadruple checking the facts yourself. Despite this, the mythological nature of it makes intuitive perception kind of necessary to truly grasp it and understand it. I'd advise to write down your observations or to note them otherwise but do not share them or be sure of them unless you have sufficient proof and enough examples. Also, sometimes your personal experience and a pattern you're very familiar with is enough, there's no need to find an example from media or celebrities. I feel like everyone is just throwing random senstences around on astrology blogs these days and very few of them actually say something of value or make sense.
That's one of the reasons why I'd really appreciate confirmations from you in comments or reblogs or otherwise, on this and other posts too. My posts get a lot of likes but not many get enough comments or reblogs and yeah it would be nice to make my posts more visible, but mainly I just want genuine feedback from people. That's why I want more exposure anyways. So, if you want to comment your example(s) or personal impressions do not think that you're being annoying, that's exactly what I want.

Another good nakshatra for marriage. Good for all positive events, whether they are of short duration or of lasting impact. This is a time for making commitments and obligating yourself in some way, perhaps making a pledge of some sort. Activities related to travel and vehicles are good, such as going on vacation, taking possession of a new car and driving it home, etc. In terms of Vastu, this is a good time for housewarming activities.

retrograded pisces venus here and honey you were right on the NAIL!!!!
Retrograde Planets
Tumblr media
A retrograde planet and its effects is an area subject to a diversity of opinions. Those familiar with basic astronomy know that planets only appear to change their forward motion by standing still for a short while (stationary), then moving backward in their orbit relative to an observer on earth (retrograde), and then returning to their forward motion (direct).
Philosophically, many astrologers interpret retrograde motion as causing more of the planet’s effects to manifest. According to the formulas in shadbala (a Vedic planetary strength calculation system), retrograde makes the planet stronger. Note that this does not mean it makes the planet better, nor does it mean the planet is required to be interpreted in a specific way.A planet in retrograde is held by many to exhibit more of what it already has whether positive or negative. Some state that a retrograde planet causes the influence of the planet to reverse. Some indicate that you interpret the retrograde planet as having the influence of the sign ahead, pulling that influence back into the approaching sign.
Ayurvedic physicians report that health problems tend to manifest more during retrograde periods or with people who have strong influences from retrogrades in their charts.I have found that the loitering retrograde motion throws off the energy of a planet and does not allow it to flow in a normal fashion. The house occupied by the retrograde planet is not allowed to function at its best.
There is a principle, given by Maharishi Parasara that supports this somewhat. The sage states that a retrograde planet will reverse the effects of an exalted or debilitated planet.
There is not much written in astrological literature about retrograde planets. As you know, the Sun and Moon are never retrograde. The nodes of the Moon are almost always retrograde, with occasional states of direct motion and infrequent stationary ā€œmotionā€ when lingering between forward and reverse. You can see this motion in panchangas (sidereal planetary almanacs or ephemerides), which show true motion of planets.
Tumblr media
Mars Retrograde
Keywords Action in Reverse
Mars is normally the planet of fire, warriors, action, and initiative. When retrograde, Mars becomes less inclined to take action the person needs to have a ā€œfireā€ lit under them. Sometimes the person will let a situation get critical in order to use that crisis, either consciously or unconsciously, to drive them to act. These people can be very frustrating in that they will often wait until the last minute to do something. The pressure of being forced to act supplements the weakness of retrograde Mars.
When Mars is retrograde by transit, you should consider it an unfavorable time for actions that need the supporting energy of Mars. It would be an inauspicious time for starting new projects, buying or building a house, activities with the siblings, lawsuits, going to war or entering a competition, marriages, business contracts, starting a new business, buying equipment, working with chemicals and fire, undergoing surgeries or dental work, or the like.
Tumblr media
Mercury Retrograde
Keywords Thinking in Reverse
These people think in a more intuitive manner and are most likely right brain dominant. Right brain thinking is more spatially oriented, comprehends through recognizing patterns, and arrives at conclusions without seeming to go through the more observable steps of logic and reason. This does not mean they are wrong. In fact, they are often right, and quickly so.
If they are around a lot of analytical people, they have to go back, ā€œrewind,ā€ and figure out for themselves how to state what they thought In terms of numbers and formulas instead of symbols and metaphors. They can drive analytical people crazy because of the seemingly discontinuous manner in which they, the Mercury retrogrades, think. They are not linear.
Tumblr media
Jupiter Retrograde
Keywords Expanding in Reverse
Retrograde Jupiter seems to create bargain hunters. They are always looking for a better deal. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, so when it is retrograde, it motivates the person to try to win back what was lost. Getting a good deal, calling for return of loans, redeeming coupons, getting rebates, and the like all indicate the flavor of retrograde Jupiter.
This can be a problem in relationships in that the person is always considering something better, beyond what they have in their current partnership. These persons are often successful in disaster situations They don’t pay attention to how it won’t work, they just go ahead. They are also quick to spot an opportunity for profit during times of disaster that others might miss. Conversely, they might smell disaster before others do and get out ahead.
A danger with Jupiter retrograde is a lack of timely response to new opportunities. Laziness or too much optimism can lead these people to miss obvious benefits. Jupiter retrograde becomes interested in projects that have become disregarded or weak. They can still see the value in that event or person, and are willing to take it on for repair and rejuvenation.
Since Jupiter is still naturally inspiring, these retrogrades can feel their self worth expand by helping rejected or abandoned people, projects, and companies become better.
Tumblr media
Venus Retrograde
Keywords: Loving in Reverse
Venus retrograde (along with Venus conjunct Rahu or Ketu) can indicate an unusual interest in love. These people don’t seem to be stimulated by customary means. Socially, they don’t fit into the mainstream. Often people with this position become celibates or the reverse, sexual ā€œcelebrants.ā€ They can swing between opposites averse or perverse.
Idealism about love forms to such a high level of expectation that nobody could meet it. The end result is a feeling of not being loved. Often these people turn to religion, because it seems easier to love God and God does have a lot of love. Sometimes when this Venus is very afflicted, the person could be mistreated in love or have very traumatic experiences with those they love.
Venus retrograde people don’t always make the best or happiest marriage partners. Finding a fulfilling, lasting relationship is at least a challenge for them. They can be at odds with the traditional philosophical and social aspects of partnering. Sometimes these people prefer the company of their own sex, either through many friends of the same gender or through intimate same sex relationships.
A transit of retrograde Venus can put one’s love life into a spin, causing disinterest or increased interest usually the opposite of one’s normal state.
Tumblr media
Saturn Retrograde
Keywords: Stability in Reverse
Saturn is a planet of seclusion and renunciation. Often people with Saturn retrograde become more self isolating, monastic, and even antisocial. They feel like they are alone; no one understands them. Actually afraid of rejection, they act as if they couldn’t care less and sometimes reject others first before it can happen to them.
Fatalism and pessimism cloud their life. It seems hard for them to go on during certain periods. They can get withdrawn, grim, even depressed. In their isolation, they can become more nervous and fearful even paranoid or agoraphobic.
One good facet is that Saturn generally lets up as a person matures and gains more life experience. So if these people can hold on in their early years, or in the early stages of any life event, they should be okay. We are intended, in this life, to enjoy or to not mind too much Saturn retrogrades just need to remember that.
Thx for reading
Sending much love and blessings

Qualities of the Nakshatras - How do you do what you do?
Tumblr media
While the traditional Vedic classification of the qualities of the Nakshatras can be found in many common sources, few of them describe in detail, how that classification is applied in real life. I myself struggled and took my time pondering, analysing and discussing these qualities and their practical application, in order to be able to understand and then explain the reality of those particular Nakshatra traits.
For those who never heard of Nakshatra qualities, these are described as Chara, Sthira, Mrdu, Ugra, Tikshna, Kshipra and Mishra.
It is important to realise, that these descriptions show not just what activities will a given Nakshatra undertake, but how it operates, and if you look at your Moon Nakshatra, you will see that its quality will reflect your basic nature of being. However, that doesn't mean that all Nakshatras from the same group have the same jobs/interests/always do the same thing. It's more about how people "take up space" energetically, the style in which they bring about change.
Chara Nakshatra - "Moveable" - Shravana, Dhanishta, Shatabhisha, Punarvasu and Swati.
The word I would associate with those Nakshatras, more than simply moveable, is "dynamic". You can see it best perhaps in Dhanishta, that is notorious for its amazing natural sense of rhythm and association with dancing and being in the public eye. However, even Shatabhisha, that moves in the shadows, has a certain rhythm to it, coupled with restlessness. The energy here is breezy and flowing, and you can see it in those natives, even if they just sit and talk, that they are decidedly and constantly animated.
Sthira Nakshatra - "Fixed"Ā - Rohini, Uttaraphalguni, Uttarashadha and Uttarabhadrapada.
The energy here is of a person in position of authority sitting on a throne and establishing something durable. I associate this Nakshatra group with authority, because there is something passively steady and indomitable about them. Their authority is a given, they are in their place and they don't feel the need to go out of their way to prove it, instead they build upon who they are. This is why this Nakshatra group in traditional Vedic sources is associated with making firm, long term decisions, as these people lay foundations for things that all the other Nakshatras build upon. Their position of authority comes from the fact, that decision making and authority often goes hand in hand. While the moveable Nakshatras make waves in motion, fixed Nakshatras can change the fate of the entire collective from their steady position with one decision.
Mrdu Nakshatra - "Tender"Ā - Chitra, Anuradha, Mrigashira and Revati.
These Nakshatras relate to feelings and creations that are fleeting yet eternal at the same time. There is a certain contradiction here, as these natives may appear outwardly defensive, but that defensiveness is born out of necessity in a harsh world and hides deep sensitivity, and if you talk to them more, you will see their softer side, their attachment to beauty and harmony, and their fear of losing that serenity. Traditional Vedic sources point out their connection to subtlety of music, delicate, precious newly purchased things or clothing. More than the objects themselves, it's about the thrill of happiness such experiences give you. And even if they last not more than a moment, the reality of these Nakshatras is their sensitivity of creation and perception, their ability to see, that beauty and intricate delicacy can be found anywhere, and while you can never fundamentally shield it from all harm, it will always pop up in the world somewhere else, just like a flower, even if picked, will regrow next spring.
Ugra Nakshatra - "Violent" -Ā Bharani, Magha, Purvaphalguni, Purvashadha, and Purvabhadrapada.Ā
The main theme of these Nakshatras is conquest, and while of course not all of these natives are interested in traditional warfare, these are the kind of people that occupy 100% of any space they are in and like to set the rules with their presence. Their naturally fierce presence can make them incredibly successful with the demands of the modern world, but even a housewife with Ugra Nakshatra is a force to be reckoned with. The conquest here can have multiple meanings, and gains a decidedly creative, romantic and sexual nature in Venusian Purva Phalguni and Purva Ashadha, to conquer one's object of desire. However, the energy here is really about internally conquering one's own weaknesses and wrestling with the animalistic, expansive desirous aspect of human nature.
Tikshna Nakshatra - "Sharp" -Ā Moola, Jyeshta, Ardra and Ashlesha.
The real task of these Nakshatras is putting other people back in their place. While the fixed Nakshatras have a natural, calm authority coming from status, and violent Nakshatras can be intimidating, sharp Nakshatras automatically gain respect with their presence, because they are so ready to regulate people who are out of line. Their "sharpness" is required for that energy to be effective against others, especially since some Nakshatras like Ugra will not back down easily. However, unlike Ugra, these Nakshatras correct and regulate rather than express desire for outwards conquest, relying more on handling things, that are already out there, making these natives excellent in managerial positions. You can think of it in the context of Ardra being a passionate activist and critic of established social systems.
Kshipra Nakshatra - "Swift" - Ā Ashwini, Pushya and Hasta.
These Nakshatras operate in short but intense bursts of energy. Hasta is a good example, as it embodies the traditional business transaction - money and goods exchange hands, the deed is done, the seller moves on to the next one. Same with Pushya and spiritual teaching, delivering quick but valuable lessons and moving on to another student/activity/rest. The focus here is on efficiency and maximising good energy through limited and realistic potential.
Mishra Nakshatra - "Mixed" -Ā Krittika and Vishakha.
An interesting aspect of these Nakshatras comes from how Vedic astrologers link them both to laying out furniture, electronics and fire rituals. You would think these two activities have nothing in common, but they are actually the key to the ceremonial nature of these Nakshatras. In modern households, few houses have a fireplace, but fire pits in the middle of the main living space used to be traditional in old houses, to keep them warm and for religious purposes. In the 21st century, a grand television set is god, and coupled with a comfortable couch it is what sets the scene in a home. And this is what these Nakshatras do, energetically, set the scene both for worship and to be worshipped, establishing a relationship between the viewer and the viewed. For that reason, there is a sense of fiery dramatism in these Nakshatras, ready to both worship and be worshipped at any given time.
