Okay let me add my five cents to the Zaunite au, where Viktor didn’t make it to the academy and remained in Zaun.
He was trying to invent on his own, but he desperately needed money for his research. And that’s when Silco appeared…

That video of Alex Hirsch reading S&P notes for Gravity Falls conveys a few things to me:
1) the U.S. entertainment industry (especially animation) is run by older conservative types who make up offensive terms and get really mad about them.
2) the people who run Disney would be the first to fall in line with a fascist regime.
3) most of the media we consume is tailor-made and watered-down to appeal to the tastes of older, deeply religious conservative audiences.
4) conservatism, not the left, is and always has been the biggest voice of censorship in American culture.

he's a horse girl. he's knows everything there is to know about swords and will talk about and to them for hours on end. he has saved the world with the power of friendship on more than one occasion. he once went to jail in solidarity with a friend. he helped create therapy and has no idea. he fought off a kind of immortal guy with a candelabra. he regularly talks to multiple talking swords. he's one of the best, if not actually the best, duelist of his age. he's an amazing tactician and no one talks about that. he's got daddy issues. he thinks about his friends all the time. he makes a conscious effort to learn everyone's name. he respects trans rights. he's a slut trollop at best (worst?). he once investigated a murder he committed. he's an amputee and has a prosthetic foot made out of talking armor. he turned down being a king and is now an advisor(?) of another nation. he has a complicated relationship with the idea of fighting. he fought off 20 men with only his talking sword and horse for help and won. he is so incredibly determined. he loves his wife and her alters very very much. his love for his friends has had a huge effect on the world. I didn't say his name but you hopefully know who i'm talking about.

The stormlight archive has taught me that no matter what happens, people always have the choice to turn around and improve themselves. There is never somebody so far gone or set in their beliefs as to be irredeemable.
The stormlight fandom has taught me the above is true as long as you aren't causing any distress to Kaladin Stormblessed
#i love moash so much actually#kaladin is my favorite character probably of all time#but the potential moash has#ooh its so good#sanderson if you fuck this up i swear#and he probably will ngl#i wont forgive the fandom for not allowing any grace and mercy for moash dispite forgiving dalinar for all he did

“Standing before the deathspren was a tiny figure of light. Not translucent, as she had always appeared before, but of pure white light. That soft, feminine face had a nobler, more angular cast to it now, like a warrior from a forgotten time. Not childlike at all. She stood guard on his chest, holding a sword made of light.”
The Way of Kings, ch.38: Envisager
Kaladin, beaten to within an inch of his life and then left out in a Highstorm (which he miraculously survived), being guarded by Syl.
I can’t get over how much I love these books. Prepare for a LOT more art!
