i think it would be funny as hell if they did a pokemon region in greece, and everyones like omg i wonder what kind of cool mythos-based pokemon there will be! but it ends up being set in rural greece, and the gods or ruins arent referenced a single time at all. and all the pokemon are based on cats, the gyms are randomly closed because the gym leaders didnt feel like it that day, and team rocket is just a bunch of asshole kids that wear adidas jackets and loiter. nothing of substance happens at all and the game ends.

i have a random issue with a handful of pre-srar fall out boy songs where I LOVE the the start of the song or just generally everything but the chorus, but the chorus itself i find kind of underwhelming (eg: ilalwtwiattgyo, ttotbo, igatrimeanomf, cfmrfrpfmsr, gblogbd(dyptstsasgts)

Happy birthday Oscar Wilde!
Irish writer Oscar would be 170 today, the 16th of October. Here’s a few fun facts to celebrate:
When Oscar wrote The Picture of Dorian Gray in 1889, it was censored before publication because it was Too Gay. The uncensored version was only published in 2011.
Also in 2011, Oscar’s tomb was surrounded by perspex, to protect it from being eroded by the thousands of kisses left on the stone by admirers.
Oscar was a great fan of queer American poet Walt Whitman. They met in 1882, and Oscar later wrote to his friend George Ives: “I have the kiss of Walt Whitman still on my lips.”
Check out our podcast if you want to celebrate the day by learning more about Oscar!

I don’t think you’re ready to have an adult conversation about politics until you’re able to admit that there are things you love and enjoy that would not and should not exist in a just world. $8 billion dollar budget movies every other month don’t exist in a just world. New 900 GB AAA video games every year don’t exist in a just world. Next day delivery doesn’t exist in a just world. 80 different soda brands don’t exist in a just world.
All of those things come from exploitation on some level, and if you wouldn’t trade those for a world where everyone can eat and have a home no matter who they are or what they do, I don’t know what to tell you.

pirates of the caribbean really introduced an eldritch octopus man who kills indiscriminately and torments the dead as their poster villain and then you watch the movies and it's like, "oh no, actually the worst villain in this series is a small white british man who functions as the herald of capitalism" and that was very very brave of them
